Yesterday I told you about reality TV slut Kim Kardashian giving herself a so-called “Vampire blood filler” facial. Well, several doctors have gone on record exposing Kardashian’s pathetic attempt to fool the public.
Yahoo News spoke with Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, a board certified plastic surgeon in Boston, who described the procedure using the yellowish fluid in blood after it is spun down in a centrifuge. The yellowish fluid is called plasma which is full of white blood cells or platelets.
The doctor does not inject red blood cells into a patient’s face, which is what that idiot Kim wants the public to believe.
After blood is spun down in a centrifuge, which separates the red blood cells from the plasma, the red blood is not even in liquid form any more.
Dr. Siegel explains: “What you do is you take out from a person’s arm about two teaspoons full of blood – a standard blood draw, like you would get when you go to the doctor — and add some chemicals, spin it down, and separate it a certain way, and you end up with some fluid that can be injected into the face.”
He continues:
“It’s similar to — if you ever scraped your knee, that kind of yellowy stuff that you see oozing out of you – it’s like that. So then you inject this back in into the area where there are wrinkles. The thought is that the natural body products that you inject in are going to stimulate your body to produce more collagen, provide some volume in itself, perhaps it contains stem cells that are gonna help – the goal is to get a much better appearance using your own body’s blood.”
Update: “It’s completely absurd,” says Dr. Jack Berdy, the director of a botox boutique in NYC.
“You inject it like you would any other filler. You can do it on your lunch break,” Dr. Berdy told the NY Daily News.
He also confirmed that the fluid on Kim’s face should be yellow, not red. “Her procedure is not set in any sense of reality,” he said.
So there you have it. The procedure involves using the yellowish fluid in blood — not the red blood cells. I don’t even know what Kim has smeared on her face, but it’s not blood. So don’t be fooled.
