There’s a vicious rumor going around the blogs that singer Chris Brown is addicted to the same drugs that nearly destroyed his ex-girlfriend Rihanna’s career. Rumor has it that Brown’s camp forced him into drug rehab to clean his system of the drugs before he was required to take a urine test for his probation officer.
Recent photos of Brown show him looking emaciated and frail. His behavior has been very erratic lately — similar to the behavior of a person under the influence of drugs.
Sandrarose.com reached out to our insider in Brown’s camp to clear up the rumors. The insider said Brown is under a great deal of stress, but he is not under the influence of drugs (other than a little weed for medicinal purposes).
“He’s not on drugs lol,” my well-connected source said via a text message sent minutes ago. “He’s stressed. He’s just overwhelmed and needed time away,” my source added.
The 24-year-old singer/songwriter was recently arrested in D.C. for assaulting a fan. He immediately checked into a rehab facility in Malibu, Calif., where he was treated for anger management issues. There are unsubstantiated rumors that Brown continued using drugs while he was an inpatient at the rehab center.
But my source dismissed the rumors.
“If he went to rehab for drugs they woulda kept him there. He’s already out. He wanted to clear his head,” he said.
Brown was spotted eating dinner on Thursday with his longtime girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. He will reportedly continue his anger management therapy as an outpatient.
