Savannah James saves thousands of dollars a year by styling her daughter's long hair herself.

The wife of NBA superstar LeBron James shared a video showing off her kitchen beautician skills.

7-year-old Zhuri has long, voluminous tresses growing out of her scalp. Hair that long costs double to style than the average head. So Savannah saves money by styling Zhuri's hair herself.

Like most homemakers, Savannah was forced to learn how to style her daughter's hair during the pandemic lock downs. Savannah washes, styles, and trims her daughter's ends. Zhuri's hair is almost waist length!

Savannah captioned the video:

"*Disclaimer* I am not a professional. I’m a kitchen beautician. The process I use has gotten us to these lengths through the last 7 years. Please don’t come for me."

In addition to Zhuri, Savannah and LeBron share sons LeBron Jr., 17, and 14-year-old Bryce Maximus.

She captioned the selfies: "Legit wanted this hair style my whole life."

Her shaved head focuses more attention on her gallery of tattoos including her "Larry" tattoo next to her left eye which she had inked in November. "Larry" is rapper Larry Lambert, who performs under the stage name Lvrd Pharoh. He had a tatt that says "Summer" inked over his eye.

Summer gushed over her boyfriend in a social media post in October:

"He just increases my overall quality of life. I've never had someone put me and my child first before everything. To not have to lift a finger, for someone to truly be emotionally and spiritually intelligent and invested in me. It's new and it's nice."

hair extensions

While researching the appropriate age for hair weave, I came across an article by Briana McCarthy on Essence.com.

McCarthy recalls seeing a young girl at her son's school, wearing really long hair weave. She wondered if the hair weave wasn't doing damage to the young girl's self-esteem (not to mention her edges).

Riqua Hailes

You are probably among the millions of black women who buy your hair weave extensions from a salon, beauty supply store, or out of the trunk of a car. It's no surprise that beauty supply stores that cater to black women are the #1 importers of hair weave from China.

But have you ever stopped to wonder where your hair weave extensions come from?

After noticing inconsistencies in the hair extensions she purchased for her clients, Riqua Hailes, owner of Just Extensions hair extension bar in Los Angeles, decided to go on an odyssey to Asia to see for herself where the hair comes from.

Nicki Minaj long hair don't care

After teasing her Stans for a year with promises of revealing her natural hair, Nicki Minaj finally revealed her long tresses on Instgram.com yesterday. Yes, her hair is real and growing from her scalp. Let the hating begin, because you have good reason to hate this woman. The 31-year-old rapper has the full package: the looks, the talent, and the hair that many women can only dream of. Black women will give their firstborn to have Nicki's long, luxurious hair.

If it helps you feel any better, her butt is fake.

Thanks to loyal reader Robyn W. for the tip.

Pastor Bans Hair Weaves in His Church

A Waco, Texas pastor is making waves for giving a fiery speech about the women in his flock. Pastor A.J. Aamir has grown wary of looking out over his congregation at Resurrecting Faith Church and seeing a sea of Yaki hair weave.

"Our black women are getting weaves trying to be something and someone they are not. Be real with yourself is all I'm saying," Pastor A.J. Aamir told AmericaPreachers.com.

Pastor Aamir isn't the only one who thinks hair weave is associated with black women who have low self-esteem because they can't grow hair like other races. But it is probably the first time that a notable preacher has spoken publicly about the "false image" of wearing hair weaves.

Beyonce

Beyonce removed her lacefront wig to let her own thinning hair breathe -- and her Stans lost their collective minds. The 32-year-old mother-of-1 posted a photo of her short hair on her Instagram account. Of course, the accolades from her Stans are over-the-top. What is wrong with them? She took off her wig! It's not like her own hair was long and she cut it short.

Beyonce should be praised for finding the confidence to take off the ridiculous lacefront wigs and wear her own hair for once. Maybe her Stans will follow suit and cut off their hair extensions. Aren't you ladies tired of imitating another race?

All of these women are high maintenance beauties who go to great lengths to make sure their hair and nails are always on point when they step out in public. The last time I made a post like this some of you had problems guessing the names. This time I will try to make the descriptions a little easier.

    1. Let's begin with this reality TV star and mother of one who is struggling to repair her marriage to an NBA superstar (at least publicly). She writes on her Instagram page: "Bob Marley Nail Art hand painted by @naominailsnyc...SICK!!!!!"

    What's her name?

All of these women are high maintenance beauties who go to great lengths to make sure their style game is always on point when they step out in public. These women pay extra attention to their hair and nails, because that's what most women criticize for some odd reason.
