Dr. La’Boris Cole-Sapp denies rumors that Bishop Marvin Sapp used church tithes to pay for their extravagant wedding.

Sapp and Cole-Sapp were married on March 20 at The Chosen Vessel Megachurch in Fort Worth, Texas, where he is senior pastor.

According to The Jasmine Brand, Cole-Sapp clapped back against unfounded rumors that church funds were used to pay for their lavish wedding.

Cole-Sapp addressed the rumors during Easter service.

In a video, she told her husband, “Despite what the haters on the internet say about you, you are an integral man. You don’t take or rob the church.”

Gossipmongers claim Sapp asked his parishioners for thousands of dollars in tithes to pay for the pricey wedding ceremony.

The elaborate expenses included multiple wedding dress changes, a ballerina, a wall of flowers and what looked like a movie set inside the sanctuary.

A videographer filmed Cole-Sapp arriving on a helicopter which is rented by the hour.

Cole-Sapp arrived on the helicopter along with her mother and father. While Sapp’s family waited inside the megachurch.

“The church didn’t pay for the wedding, y’all stop lying,” Cole-Sapp said.

“Everybody not broke [and] everybody don’t need the church’s money,” she continued. Cole-Sapp noted that both she and the Bishop have multiple streams of income.

Bishop Sapp was heavily criticized last year when he ordered ushers to lock the church doors. “No one leaves until we get $40,000,” he said in a viral video.

The incident happened during his sermon at the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World annual summer convention in 2024. But the video resurfaced online in March 2025.

The video clip shows Sapp telling ushers to lock the church doors until 1,000 people gave him $20 each.

He asked the people on stage with him to make an offering of $100 each. Viewers at home were also asked to donate online.

Sapp said his goal was to raise $40,000 for the church, but he didn’t specify what the money was for.

The shooting incident happened moments after Offset posed for selfies with fans on Monday, April 6.

The photo$$$ show Offset smoking a cigarette in a hospital gown while sitting in a wheelchair. He has a pulse oximeter on his right index finger to measure his blood oxygen levels. There is also a heparin lock in his left hand (to keep his vein open for IV fluids).

Tjay was released from the Broward County Jail after he paid a $500 bond on Tuesday. He had a lot to say. He called out Offset as a “rat ni**a,” for saying Tjay shot him. Tjay denied the allegations that he shot the Migos rapper.

“We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which [resulted] in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos,” Tjay’s attorney, Dawn M. Florio, wrote in a press release.

Florio continued, “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”

Wireless music fest organizers cancelled the music festival on Tuesday after Kanye “Ye” West was barred from entering the United Kingdom.

Ye was scheduled to headline all 3 days at Wireless Music Festival at Finsbury Park in north London, England from July 10-12.

TMZ reports Ye is banned from entering the country after the UK government revoked his visa.

Even though England is part of the United Kingdom (UK), England retains its own system of government.

Corporate sponsors are boycotting the festival after antisemitic remarks by Ye over the years.

Pepsi, British beverage giant Diageo, and PayPal dropped out as festival sponsors over the weekend.

More sponsors pulled out on Monday. The growing list now includes Rockstar Energy Drink, and Anheuser-Busch InBev, owner of beer brand Budweiser and alcohol brand BeatBox.

“We have decided to withdraw our sponsorship of this year’s Wireless Festival,” an AB InBev spokesperson said in a statement to The Independent.

Both Rockstar Energy and Pepsi are under the same parent company, PepsiCo.

Wireless Festival managing director Melvin Benn defended Ye in a statement on Monday.

“Forgiveness and giving people a second chance are becoming a lost virtue in this ever-increasing divisive world,” he said. “I would ask people to reflect on their instant comments of disgust at the likelihood of him performing (as was mine) and offer some forgiveness and hope to him as I have decided to do.”

“Ye has a legal right to come into the country and to perform in this country,” Benn’s statement continued. “We are not giving him a platform to extol opinion of whatever nature, only to perform the songs that are currently played on the radio stations in our country and the streaming platforms in our country and listened to and enjoyed by millions.”

In a statement to the BBC, Ye explained, “My only goal is to come to London and present a show of change, bringing unity, peace, and love through my music.”

Ye, 48, is currently on a comeback tour. He sold out 2 nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles last week.

Pepsi, Diageo, and PayPal have pulled their sponsorship of Wireless Music Festival over Kanye “Ye” West‘s headliner set.

Diageo, a British alcohol beverage giant, became the second sponsor to drop out. PayPal soon joined Pepsi and Diageo as the backlash continues.

“We have informed the organizers of our concerns, and as it stands, Diageo will not sponsor the 2026 Wireless festival,” said a Diageo spokesperson over the weekend.

DaBaby responded to public backlash after he rejected an artist’s painting of his 2 daughters.

The artist, B. White Creations, showed his painting to the rapper outside a Dallas nightclub. The custom painting on wood featured DaBaby’s 2 minor daughters, who are not public figures.

DaBaby was less than impressed with the painting. He walked past the artist and into the nightclub without saying a word.

After video of the incident went viral on all platforms, DaBaby politely asked B. White to remove a photo of his daughters from his social media.

“Y’all getting on my motherf***ing nerves, talking about buddy with this painting of my two daughters – two of my daughters – that he presented to me outside of a nightclub or whatever,” he said.

“First and foremost, I’m not the type of father that, I’m not into grown a*s men discussing my daughters, painting pictures of my daughters, taking pictures of my kids. I don’t play like that. If you play like that, to each his own, more power to you. Send that ni**a a picture of your daughters. Let that ni**a paint them and show him some appreciation.”

DaBaby added that he’s not accepting paintings of his daughters outside of a nightclub.

Everyone had an opinion about how the rapper should have reacted to the artist’s gesture.

One person wrote on X.com, “It’s his kids, it’s his right.”

Another X user wrote: “Bunch of weird a*s people making it weird and or sexual. Y’all always got the word pedo in the back of your heads, do everything, that’s weird. Grow tf up.”

DaBaby was annoyed that the artist still had his daughters’ photo on his Instagram page.
