Rasheeda concert tickets prank goes viral: ‘I didn’t even know Rasheeda made music’

Atlanta’s own Rasheeda Frost went viral over the weekend as TikTok users recorded themselves offering free tickets to Rasheeda’s upcoming concert.

Rasheeda, 49, is set to rock the house in concert at Piedmont Park in Atlanta on Saturday, October 25. But most Gen-Zers know Rasheeda as a reality TV star on Love & Hip-Hop – not for her music.

Instead of giving Rasheeda her flowers, young people mocked her on social media. Like she’s not a real artist with certified hits.

They’re too young to remember when Rasheeda was a member of Da Kaperz. Or her solo regional hit songs such as “Marry Me,” “My Bubble Gum” or “Legs to the Moon” (featuring Kandi) in 2013.

One social media user called a friend who told her to call the bank and dispute the charges for Rasheeda concert tickets. “I didn’t even know Rasheeda made music,” she said.

You may not be familiar with Rasheeda’s music, but Atlantans will turn out in force to support their own.

Rasheeda is actually a talented singer, rapper and songwriter who never got her her props. But the Internet can be a toxic place where people routinely mock others for social media content, clicks and views.

Florida rapper Trick Daddy says he’s not interested in dating women over age 35 because he considers them “damaged goods.”

The Slip-n-Slid Records founder made the statement during an interview with NeNe Leakes on her “NeNe Leakes Show” podcast.

Maurice Young, also known as Trick Daddy Dollars, takes medication for the autoimmune disorder lupus, which gives his skin a leathery appearance. But he still manages to score with gorgeous women. Though he draws the line at age 35.

“I’m not attracted to no women over 35 years old,” Daddy told NeNe, 57.

“You’re not?” asked NeNe, expressing surprise. “Well, honey, I know you are attracted to me, honey,” she said, while caressing her blonde weave.

“Y’all standards are too high; y’all too emotional,” he told NeNe.

He continued: “Y’all are damaged goods from the last past relationship.”

“I am not damaged,” NeNe interrupted him.

But Trick Daddy disagreed. “You don’t even realize you’re damaged, because you’re not supposed to sit here in front if me giving attention to your ex,” he said, referring to NeNe bringing up one of her ex-boyfriends during the interview.

Reactions to Trick Daddy’s statements were mixed online.

One person on a female-majority gossip board wrote: “Imagine someone who looks like they snuck on to planet earth being disgusted by women over 35.”

Another female wrote: “This is fantastic news for women over 35.”

A third person wrote: “He got a lot of nerve, while he walking around looking like a California mudslide.”

Brooklyn Nets star Michael Porter Jr. was spotted in Taiwan with a person known to be a transgender escort. According to Mirror Media, Porter, 27, checked into a 5-star hotel in Taiwan with trans model Xiao A La in 2023.

The media outlet obtained a blurred picture of Xiao A La with an American basketball player in the hotel lobby.

Their faces were blurred out. But based on the player’s physical characteristics, Denver Nuggets fans identified the man as Porter Jr., who was recently traded to the Nets.

According to Mirror Media, Porter visited Taiwan in September 2023. The outlet reported that Xiao A La received a private invitation from the $200 million basketball star to join him in the presidential suite at the hotel.

Xiao did not know who he was and only later found out that he was an NBA player.

Xiao A La reportedly underwent gender reassignment surgery in Thailand in 2020, and identifies as a woman.

Ironically, Porter called out bisexual NBA players during an episode of his Curious Mike podcast in 2024.

“I hear wild stories about some of these dudes,” Porter said at the time. “Their fetishes get so crazy. They might be a straight man, but they’ve done so much stuff with so many pretty girls, and they have so much access to pretty girls, that now they’re over here messing with [trans women], or now they’re over here messing with dudes.”

He continued: “You’re looking at the craziest things, and now normal sex in real life doesn’t do it for you.”

In other news, Porter recently went viral for trying to give cash to a homeless man. But the man rejected his offer.

During his first days in New York City after the Nets trade, Porter saw a shirtless and unkempt homeless man digging through trash on the sidewalk.

Porter immediately offered the man a $100 bill, but the man rejected him.

“Man, I see a homeless dude over there. We seen him eating out the trash. If I’ve got cash on me, I’m always gon’ try to help out a brother like that, man,” Porter said in a video.

The 6’10” Nets star approached the man with a $100 bill in hand, but the man waved him away and yelled “No!”

“You don’t want no cash sir?” Porter asked the man, before stuffing the $100 bill in the man’s coat pocket and walking away.

But the man removed the cash from his coat and threw it on the ground.

“Ok. I guess not,” said Porter as he reached down to pick up the discarded cash.

“We seen him reaching in the trash can, getting a peanut butter and jelly. That’s tough, bro. I feel bad for him,” Porter said.

Update: An arrest has been made in the case involving a lime green xes toy thrown on the court during a WNBA game on Tuesday.

Someone in the stands threw the adult toy on the court in the 4th quarter of the Atlanta Dream vs Golden State Valkyries game in College Park, Ga. on July 29.

The game was delayed until a female officer picked up the object and took it to police headquarters to be tested for fingerprints.

A similar incident happened on Friday, August 1, during the Valkyries vs Chicago Sky game at Wintrust Arena.

The Valkyries won both games in which a fluorescent green xes toy landed on the court.

Fearing copycat incidents at upcoming games, the WNBA pressed local law enforcement to catch the prankster(s).

On Saturday, August 2, the WNBA announced an arrest had been made in the Atlanta case which happened on Tuesday.

The league released a statement:

“The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league. Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans.”

The statement continued: “In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.”

Both incidents sparked a flurry of memes across social media.

But WNBA players are not amused.

“It’s super disrespectful,” Sky center Elizabeth Williams said during the postgame press conference. “I don’t really get the point of it. It’s really immature. Whoever is doing it needs to grow up.”

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham tweeted about the bizarre incidents: “Stop throwing dildos on the court… you’re going to hurt one of us.”

New York Liberty forward Isabelle “Izzy” Harrison tweeted: “ARENA SECURITY?! Hello??! Please do better. It’s not funny. Never was funny. Throwing ANYTHING on the court is so dangerous.”

Cobb County Superior Court Clerk Connie Taylor Pocketed $200K in Passport Fees, Destroyed Public Records

Cobb County Superior Court Clerk Connie Taylor is accused of pocketing hundreds of thousands of dollars in passport processing fees in Cobb County, Georgia.

Taylor faces charges of destroying public records and violating her oath of office.

Taylor was elected Cobb County’s Superior Court Clerk in 2020. She was reelected to her position in 2024.

The Georgia Attorney General’s Office says Taylor instructed an employee to destroy records that show she pocketed more than $200,000 in passport fees, in addition to her $170,000 annual salary.

Taylor directed an employee to delete government emails and financial records after a reporter filed an open records request.

She reportedly told the employee, “We’re just going to Donald Trump this thing.”

Taylor was arrested and booked into the Cobb County jail Friday morning. She was released on her own recognizance.

Attorney Stacey Evans, who is representing the employee, said Taylor “chastised” her client for asking how she wanted to allocate passport funds in an email.

Taylor reportedly stated the passport fees were “her money.” She refused to provide any records related to her predecessor’s collection of passport fees.

Georgia’s County clerks are allowed to legally pocket passport fees due to an obscure law on the books.

State law allows clerks to keep a $35 processing fee for each passport application. But Taylor also kept more than $24 per application in expedited mailing charges that should have gone to the county.

By comparison, Fulton County’s clerk pocketed $360,000 in passport processing fees, in addition to her $200,000 salary.

Earlier this year, Taylor agreed to reimburse the county more than $83,000 in passport mailing fees that clerks are not allowed to keep.

“It just doesn’t seem fair to use county resources for your own personal profit,” state Sen. Kay Kirkpatrick said. Kirkpatrick plans to introduce legislation to change the law that allows County clerks to pocket passport fees.

Sen. Josh Hawley wants to block ‘Biden voters’ from receiving $2,400 Trump tariff rebate checks

On July 28, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) introduced legislation to send rebate checks of at least $600 to low-income Americans. The bill is similar to the stimulus checks sent to Americans during COVID.

Sen. Hawley’s American Worker Rebate Act of 2025 would provide a minimum of $600 or a maximum of $2,400 per adult and per dependent child. The bill would be funded by the revenue from President Donald Trump’s tariffs.

Earlier this year, President Trump promised $5,000 DOGE dividend checks to American taxpayers.

But Sen. Hawley proposed a controversial plan that reduced the checks to $2,400.

‘This money is not going to Biden voters’

In an interview with Steve Bannon on “The War Room” podcast, Hawley said he doesn’t want just anyone getting the checks.

“So this is not going to the hedge fund managers or all the Biden voters,” Hawley said. “This is not going to the Wall Street kingpins, they don’t need any of it. This is going to the Trump blue collar voters, the people who Joe Biden crushed. The people who didn’t get a raise under Joe Biden for four long years. The people who can’t afford their gas because Joe Biden shut down our energy. [People] who can’t afford their groceries because Joe Biden juggled the price of everything.”

MEGA/WENN

Hawley continued: “I got the idea from the president. The president said we’ve gotta do a little rebate. Great idea! It tells our people – the working people – that we are here for you…”

Hawley’s comments raised concern among Democrats. The idea of using taxpayer money to reward one political party’s voters over another is unacceptable.

Democrats are expected to oppose Hawley’s bill. But Republicans hold the majority in both the House and the Senate.

If the bill passes, the $2,400 checks would be welcome relief to Americans who are tightening their belts amid soaring grocery and gas prices in today’s economy.

Deion Sanders shuts down Karrueche Tran dating question

Deion Sanders shut down a question about his girlfriend, actress Karrueche Tran. Karrueche never left Deion’s side when he underwent surgery to remove his cancerous bladder in May.

In an emotional video, a tearful Karrueche said, “We are dealing with bladder cancer… He is having his bladder removed.”

We knew that Deion and Karrueche were dating, but it was news to much of social media.

Appearing on Asante Samuel’s podcast “Say What Needs To Be Said,” Deion, 57, dodged a question about dating the 38-year-old “Claws” star.

When Asante asked about Karrueche, Deion interrupted him mid-question: “Hey, hey! We got a bad connection. I can’t hear you!” he said, before mimicking static noises and cutting off the call.

The rumor mill went into overdrive earlier this year when Deion and Karrueche were spotted on a date together in Los Angeles. Someone sent video of the couple holding hands to Instagram blog Deuxmoi.

Friends say Deion’s ex-wife, Carolyn, is very supportive of his relationship with the much younger Karrueche.

Karrueche first met Deion when she worked in a production by Deion’s ex-fiancee, Tracey Edmonds. Tracey was engaged to Coach Prime for almost 5 years after dating him for another 5 years.

Deion underwent surgery in May. His doctor removed his cancerous bladder and replaced it with a new bladder. The new bladder, also called a neobladder, is created out of a piece of intestine and connected to the ureters that carry urine from each kidney to the bladder.

Deion said he has difficulty controlling his urine. He probably can’t control the muscles that squeeze the urine out of the new bladder. It’s a learning process.

This wouldn’t be a problem if he had a urostomy bag.

Deion uses a urine catheter to drain the new bladder, which comes with risks including accidental perforation and infections.

Ghislaine Maxwell has been transferred from a federal prison in Florida to a “nicer” Club Fed with no bars or barbed wire in Texas.

Maxwell, 63, is seeking a presidential pardon from Donald Trump.

Trump insists there is no Epstein list. Maxwell’s attorneys say that if no list exists, their client she should be released.

The move comes after Maxwell recently sat down with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in Florida and answered questions about 100 people linked to deceased financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell had been serving her 20-year sentence at the FCI Tallahassee in Florida, but the Bureau of Prisons website lists her new home as Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas.

Other infamous residents of Bryan Prison Camp include reality TV star Jen Shah and Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.

TMZ described Prison Camp Bryan as a “nicer” facility with no barbed wire, walls or fences. “She could literally walk out the front door.”

TMZ reports there has been no indication that Trump is considering a pardon for Maxwell.

According to The New York Times, “concern mounts” that Trump will pardon Maxwell after her testimony to the Deputy General.

The paper quoted Trump as saying, “I’m allowed to do it, but it’s something I haven’t thought about.”

Maxwell has made it clear she wants her 20-year sentence tossed out, reduced or pardoned in exchange for her testimony.
