Rappers Rick Ross (pictured) and Snoop performed at the Crypto Ball as part of President-elect Donald Trump Inaugural events in Washington, DC on Friday.

Also performing at the star-studded event was rapper Soulja Boy.

The Crypto Ball is a black-tie event organized by crypto entrepreneur David Sacks. He was recently appointed the “AI and Crypto Czar” by Trump.

Trump has promised to be the first crypto-friendly president. Snoop and Rick Ross were reportedly paid in Bitcoin which is currently trading at $103,000 per coin.

Rapper Nelly will also perform for Trump at the Inaugural Liberty Ball on Monday, Jan. 20.

The 50-year-old rapper, born Cornell Haynes Jr, will join the Village People and country star Jason Aldean as the entertainment for the night, CBS reported.

Black Twitter reacted with anger to the reports that the rappers performed for the Republican incoming president.

Some Black Twitter users posted tap dancing memes and referred to the rappers as “sellouts” and “c**ns”.

One X user wrote: “Snoop Dogg and Nelly performing at inauguration balls like Black ppl wouldn’t find out. Nah they need the same energy as Chrisette Michelle.”

Read more comments below.

“Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Soulja Boy, and Rick Ross are all supporting Donald Trump. Surely the culture will treat them the same way they tried to treat Drake by accusing him of being a Trump supporter with no proof right?”

“Rick Ross called Drake a white boy all summer & Soulja boy said Drake went out sad yet these bozos on stage shucking & jiving for Trump.”

“Snoop AND Nelly?! Tap Dancing for Massa is how we’re starting off 2025?!”

“So we need to cancel Snoop, Rick Ross, & Nelly? Who else? I want people to not be selective cause when Chrisette Michelle did it it was an issue y’all keep that same energy!”

“Where would the likes of Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Rick Ross be without Black people? We propelled them to where they are now. By buying their albums or whatever their endeavors. We will no longer support sell outs any longer. So white people it’s your turn and your time to takeover.”

“No black people are really embarrassing. you telling Snoop, Nelly, Rick Ross, and Soulja Boy all performed for this man? I’m really disgusted. Right before MLK day too.”

“Sad to see Snoop Dogg, Nelly and Rick Ross adding their names to a list of sellouts who are performing for a white supremacist’s MAGA coronation on January 20th.”

Ivanka Trump is a 43-year-old busy mother-of-three who volunteers for a number of charities and runs her own foundation. So how does she stay physically fit?

The eldest daughter of President-elect Donald Trump is the envy of women who are inspired by her slim figure.

In a recent appearance on “The Skinny Confidential Him & Her” podcast, Ivanka revealed she achieved her enviable physique by sticking to a strict diet and vigorous workout regimen.

Ivanka explained that protein and an “excessive” amount of water are the main staples of her diet.

“For a while I was doing weight lifting and I still was not consuming nearly enough protein, and I was not seeing the change. It’s when I married those two things that I started noticing a difference,” she said.

Ivanka said she does cheat on her diet every once in a while. She loves “stews, sausage, noodles,” and melted cheese on everything.

In 2016, Ivanka told Shape Mag she ate like a teenager until she got pregnant with her first child in 2011. She happily feasted on “carbs three times a day, usually in the form of pasta or pizza.”

But after delivering her first child, everything changed. She began focusing on a protein-rich diet, and drinking lots of water. In an Instagram post in October 2024, Ivanka revealed that she “consumes between 30-50 grams of protein per meal.”

Proteins serve as the body’s building blocks. A deficiency of protein in the body can lead to serious diseases.

Protein also helps to keep the body lean and toned because it builds muscles.

“Slowly, I started to actually enjoy, if not crave, these healthier options. Now healthy eating is the norm for me, especially at breakfast and lunch,” Ivanka told Shape Mag.

Ivanka is mom to daughter Arabella Rose, 13, and sons Joseph, 11, and Theodore, 8.

She also revealed to Fit Pregnancy magazine in 2013 that she loved to eat vegetables and fresh fruit.

“It’s such a pleasure to open my refrigerator and see all kinds of fruit,” she said.

Ivanka and her family adhere to a kosher diet. She started dating real estate developer Jared Kushner in 2005. But they broke up after his family of Modern Orthodox Jews objected because she was raised as a Presbyterian Christian.

Ivanka and Jared eventually reunited and she converted to Judaism in 2009. They were married in a Jewish ceremony on October 25, 2009.

Rapper Nelly is among the stars set to perform at Donald Trump’s Inaugural Liberty Ball in the U.S. Capitol on January 20.

According to sources close to the event planning, the 50-year-old rapper, born Cornell Haynes Jr, will join the Village People and country star Jason Aldean as the entertainment for the night, CBS reported.

Nelly spoke negatively of Trump in the past. He confessed he didn’t care for Trump in 2017. “You know the thing about Donald Trump is that I liked Donald Trump, I did, I just don’t like Donald Trump as my president,” he told Page Six in 2017. “He doesn’t surprise me as a person, he surprises me as a president because you don’t expect certain things, certain attitudes.”

Carrie Underwood and Christopher Macchio will perform during Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, which begins at noon ET on Jan. 20.

HBCU Mississippi Valley State’s marching band will perform during the parade. The band faced scorn and ridicule for accepting Trump’s invitation.

But university officials dismissed the criticism.

“This is not just a moment of pride for our university but for the entire state of Mississippi,” university president Jerryl Briggs said. “It is an opportunity to showcase our legacy, celebrate our culture, and invest in the future leaders of our community. This participation allows students to engage in the peaceful transition of power and gain global exposure while celebrating the university’s 75th anniversary.”

The swearing-in ceremony is traditionally held outdoors, but Trump moved it indoors partly due to ongoing threats against his life.

Trump survived an assassination when he was shot and wounded by a crazed man with a high-powered rifle during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024.

Another assassination attempt was made by a sniper with a scoped AK-47 rifle as Trump played golf at his West Palm Beach, Fla. club on Sept. 15, 2024.

Trump said the swearing-in ceremony was moved indoors due to the cold weather. Temperatures are expected to be 20-degrees with a wind chill factor in the single digits on Jan. 20.

Thousands of TikTok influencers broke down in tears after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a deadline for TikTok owners to sell the app or shut down by January 19.

TikTok users mourned the end of the app in tearful videos across the platform on Friday.

“I just still can’t get over the fact that the government literally cares more about an app that hasn’t proven to pose any of the threats … You know, whatever. F— this country,” said influencer Kelsey Pumel.

“These last few days on TikTok have felt like the end of school,” another creator said, like “signing yearbooks and just goofing off.”

Some users said Sunday will mark the end of social media. One person tweeted, “This time around, let’s do better. Maybe go back to (gasp) actually talking to people.”

Others expressed sadness for the thousands of TikTok creators who will go out of business.

TikTok has over 1 billion monthly active users globally. There are approximately 170 million users in the United States.

Last year, President Joe Biden signed a law banning TikTok for allegedly spying on U.S. citizens. Under the law, TikTok must be sold to a U.S. buyer or shut down.

On Sunday, the app will be removed from all online stores. Some users have vowed to circumvent the ban by using a VPN service to mask their IP addresses. But TikTok has said it will shut down the app completely if the ban is implemented.

Congress accused Bytedance – the Chinese company that owns TikTok – of spying on Americans and collecting sensitive data from kids.

One White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said President Biden will leave TikTok’s fate in the hands of the Trump administration.

Trump, who once called to ban TikTok, has pledged not to ban the app. TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew is expected to attend Trump’s inauguration in Washington, DC on Jan. 20.

Michelle Obama Birthday Photo Prompts More Questions Than Answers

Barack Obama wished his wife Michelle Obama a happy birthday in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday. Michelle turned 61 on Jan. 17.

The former president, 63, captioned the post: “Happy birthday to the love of my life, @MichelleObama. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace – and you look good doing it. I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!”

Michelle retweeted the post with a caption that read: “Love you, honey!”

The birthday greeting – and updated photo – comes amid rumors that Barack and Michelle are headed for a divorce after 33 years of marriage.

Speculation peaked when Michelle, who skipped Jimmy Carter’s funeral, also confirmed she would not attend Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20.

Social media users noted that Michelle hadn’t been seen in public since the November 2024 election. There were rumors that she had fallen ill.

The updated photo shared by the former president did nothing to silence the rumors.

Barack and Michelle are seated at a large table in a wine cellar next to cabinets filled with bottles of wine. Michelle’s hand is balled up in a fist while Barack reaches across the table to touch her fist.

A closer look at Michelle’s face shows swelling around her cheekbones and eyes which are 2 dark pits. Michelle wore a black house dress with a wig and a scarf over the wig. Her left hand is concealed under the table.

The photo caused even more concerns and questions about her health.

The Office of Barack and Michelle Obama told Associated Press this week in a statement, “Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration.” The office stated Michelle couldn’t attend due to a scheduling conflict.

Michelle Obama has made it very clear that she despises Donald Trump and can’t stand to be around him.

But her absence at Jimmy Carter’s funeral service sparked divorce rumors.

“I’m calling it, the Obamas are getting a divorce,” wrote one person on X.

Another posted: “An Obama divorce would not be on my 2025 predictions but it might happen.”

“[Michelle] and Obama are on the outs. They are getting a divorce. She doesn’t want to be around him,” someone else wrote.

“Sounds like an Obama divorce is on the horizon, we’ve all seen it, they stop attending functions together,” a fourth tweet read.

Big Meech announced the lineup for his “Welcome Back Concert” in the Miami area on February 13.

The concert lineup features Lil Baby, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Kodak Black, Est Gee, Tee Grizzley, Boosie, and more.

Notably missing from the lineup are bold name rappers such as Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Jeezy, Gucci Mane, 50 Cent, Ludacris and Drake.

The event is produced by XO Touring and AG Touring and will be hosted by Big Meech himself. The production company promises a “memorable night where the music industry unites to celebrate a legend.”

But social media users are confused about why the Black community is celebrating a former drug kingpin who is responsible for poisoning the Black community with drugs.

They wonder what has Meech done that’s worth celebrating?

Big Meech was transferred from a federal prison to a halfway house in Miami in October after serving 16 years of a life sentence for drug trafficking.

In his defense, some misguided social media users compared Meech to President-elect Donald Trump.

One person wrote: “The president elect is a convicted felon man. Please spare us the social commentary about the Big Meech concert.”

See more comments below.

“This dude ain’t nobody to be celebrated. Southern n1**as stay on some ignorant sh*t.”

“They are really acting like this n1**a did something extraordinary. He sold drugs, got caught and went to prison for a long time.”

“And we wonder why they don’t respect us as a community. This is the bullsh*t that is celebrated. We’re cooked.”

“N1**as out here acting like he was some charitable n1**a before he went to prison. He was a drug dealer that poisoned his own communities.”

“This is why we have issues within our community celebrating one who profited immensely through the destruction of our communities smh.”

“People can change. Yeah he helped ruin lives. But I’m sure he regrets it and he’s matured.”

“Disgusting! Celebrating this murderer and drug dealer.”

“We shouldn’t celebrate people that poison us. Of course they never respected us. Because we don’t respect us either. The only culture on earth that creates art that celebrates murdering each other.”

Elementary School Teacher Gave Birth to 13-Year-Old Student’s Baby

A New Jersey elementary school teacher is charged with sexually assaulting a former student who fathered her son.

Officials say the boy formed a close relationship with Laura Caron, 34, who was 28-years-old at the time. The student, who was born in 2005, lived with the teacher from 2016 to 2020. The boy was 13 when he fathered a son with Caron in 2019.

Caron had taught the boy and his brother in the fifth grade at Middle Township Elementary School. The boys’ parents struck up a friendship with the teacher, according to ABC affiliate WPVI. The parents allowed the boys and their sister to sleep over at her house a couple of nights a week at first.

Then the siblings moved in with her in 2016. Caron began sleeping with the student when he was 11. She gave birth to her baby in 2019, while the siblings were still living with her.

The truth was revealed in December 2024 when the boy’s father noticed similarities between himself, his son, and Caron’s 5-year-old son in photos on her Facebook page.

The man went public on Facebook with his suspicions and police quickly launched an investigation, including interviewing the three siblings and their father.

The boy’s sister told police she would notice her brother was in Caron’s bed in the mornings.

The boy’s older brother told police that he witnessed Caron sexually assaulting his brother one night when they thought he was asleep.

Finally, the sister told police that her brother admitted to fathering the child in a text message to her. She said he asked her to keep it a secret.

The boy, who is now 19 years old, told police he had been in a relationship with Caron and had fathered her son in 2019.

He also said that he had remained in contact with her until his father’s Facebook post.

Caron was arrested on Wednesday and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

She is being held in jail without bond and could face up to 20 years in prison, according to the New York Post.

Caron’s son was removed from her home.

Joe Biden Won’t Enforce TikTok ban, Leaving App’s Fate to Trump

President Joe Biden won’t enforce the TikTok ban before leaving office on January 20. Officials tell the Associated Press that Biden will leave that decision up to incoming President Donald Trump.

Congress accused Bytedance – the Chinese company that owns TikTok – of spying on Americans and collecting sensitive data from kids.

“TikTok is a Chinese Communist spy app that addicts our kids, harvests their data, targets them with harmful and manipulative content, and spreads communist propaganda,” Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas said.

Last year, Biden signed a law banning TikTok, effective on January 19. Under the law, TikTok must be sold to a U.S. buyer.

On Jan. 19, the app will be removed from all online stores. Some users have vowed to circumvent the ban by using a VPN service to mask their IP addresses. But TikTok has said it will shut down the app completely if the ban is implemented.

One White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Biden will leave the app’s fate to the Trump administration.

Trump, who once called to ban TikTok, has pledged not to ban the app. TikTok’s CEO is expected to attend Trump’s inauguration in Washington, DC on Jan. 20.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is also attending the inauguration, has offered to buy TikTok.

Incoming national security adviser Mike Waltz on Thursday told Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” that the federal law that could ban TikTok “allows for an extension as long as a viable deal is on the table.”

35,000 California wildfire victims applied for one-time $770 FEMA payments

California wildfire victims are applying for a one-time $770 payment from the federal government to buy basic items.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) program is designed to cover the cost of essential items like water, formula, gasoline and prescription drugs.

The death toll has risen to 27 and over 15,000 acres were scorched by wildfires that began on January 4 and continue to rage across Southern California.

Ring camera footage shows how rapidly the wildfires spread to neighborhoods. Strong winds carried burning embers for miles.

Those impacted by the wildfires may receive assistance from more than one FEMA program, an agency spokesperson told USA TODAY on Tuesday.

Over 35,000 victims have applied for the one-time FEMA payments. President Joe Biden said over $5 million in payments have gone out already.

“And I want to be clear: We’re not waiting until those fires are over to be — to start helping the victims. We’re getting them help right now, as you all know,” Biden said. “So far, nearly 6,000 survivors have registered to do just that and $5.1 million has gone out.”

SPOT-Stoianov-BUFR / BACKGRID

The one-time payment announcement came a week after Biden said the federal government will cover 100% of the costs of California’s efforts to fight the wildfires for 180 days, including paying for the removal of wildfire debris for six months, but FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell warned cleanup will take longer.

NFL Asks Kendrick Lamar Not to Perform ‘Not Like Us’ During Super Bowl Halftime

Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show next month is shaping up to be a disaster.

NFL officials are scrambling to contain the damage after Canadian rapper Drake filed a blockbuster federal lawsuit against his record label for defamation.

Drake accused Universal Music Group (UMG) of defamation. The lawsuit alleges UMG paid radio stations and Black bloggers to hype Kendrick’s diss track, “Not Like Us.”

The diss track implies that Drake is a pedophile — without any proof to back up the harmful allegation.

Both Drake and Kendrick are artists under the UMG corporate umbrella. Drake is signed under Republic Records and Lamar under Interscope Records.

Carmen Mandato/Getty Images

If Drake wins his case, UMG could be on the hook for nearly $1 billion!

That’s because Drake and UMG were negotiating a distribution deal that would have been worth $1 billion.

But UMG allegedly paid for a smear campaign in the form of a beef with Kendrick. “Not Like Us” was allegedly part of the smear campaign to devalue Drake in the marketplace.

Photo may have been deleted

There is plenty of circumstantial evidence online that UMG waged a silent campaign to boost Kendrick’s music. Popular streamers who criticized Kendrick’s music complain that they were demonetized on YouTube.

Others say UMG allowed monetization of videos that portrayed Kendrick in a positive light while copyright striking streamers who didn’t.

Johnny Nunez/Getty Images

Jay-Z (left) convinced the NFL to choose Kendrick Lamar (right) as the halftime performer off of the strength of “Not Like Us,” a defamatory diss track that alleges Drake is a pedophile.

Defamation is a malicious act that can lead to civil liability and a huge monetary award in court. Incoming President Donald Trump was ordered to pay an $83 million defamation award last year after he denied assaulting a woman in a Manhattan department store.

And Drake’s law firm won a $150 million judgment against Rudy Giuliani for defaming 2 former Georgia poll workers.

Now the NFL’s lawyers have notified Kendrick not to perform the controversial song during the Super Bowl next month.

The problem for the NFL is that most Americans are not familiar with Kendrick’s style of music which is categorized as mumble rap.

If Kendrick can’t perform the only song that most people know, his halftime performance will go down as one of the worst in Super Bowl history.
