Isaiah Chance Jr., 21, Alicia Andrews, 21, and Sean Gathright, 18, are in custody. Police are also searching for 2 other suspects in the shooting.

“Today’s announcement would not be possible without the outstanding investigative work of our homicide detectives and with the assistance of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the ATF,” said Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw.

Chief Bercaw said the suspects took extreme measures to cover their actions, “But they were no match for our investigators.”

Foolio, real name Charles Jones, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn in north Tampa on June 23. Foolio was celebrating his 26th birthday when he died.

Police believe Foolio was there to get a room at the hotel after getting kicked out of an Airbnb earlier in the day.

Foolio advertised a pool party at an Airbnb in a post on his Instagram Story that day. He told followers to DM him for the address.

Foolio went viral last Oct. when a gruesome photo of his foot injury circulated on social media after he was shot in an ambush in Jacksonville.

In the photo caption, he quoted lyrics from Ksoo’s track “Been Dead“: “All this money on my head I ‘posed to been dead. All this money on my head I ‘posed to been dead.”

The press conference will be streamed live in this post.

Kamala, Obama & Beyonce Cover NY Mag’s ‘Kamalot’ Issue

Vice President Kamala Harris graces the July 29 cover of New York magazine. An illustration shows Harris pumping her fists in the air while sitting on top of a coconut.

An X user says the coconut refers to Harris’ infamous “coconut tree” speech in 2023.

The issue’s subheading reads: “Welcome to Kamalot” — a spin on Harris’ name and “Camelot,” which symbolized John F. Kennedy’s storybook presidency.

Also joining Harris on the cover are former President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden, Beyonce, George Clooney, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, AOC, and more.

New York magazine captioned an X post: “Welcome to Kamalot! Our new issue grapples with the two weeks that reshaped the 2024 election — and the thrill of taking a risk on Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.”

Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee when Biden stepped down after testing positive for Covid-19 for the third time in 2 years.

In the issue, the writer tackles the big question: Can she win?

“There are certainly terrible things in store: the racism and sexism Harris will face, the monstrous and vengeful resistance to her rise, in which she will be accused of incompetence and radicalism and being an affirmative-action token and a barren cat lady and a welfare queen who has slept her way to the top…

“Perhaps this is why so many Democrats have clung to the rocks of a familiar path instead of looking out over the cliff and imagining a long, scary jump toward an unknown shore. What if they fell and lost everything? And with the most vulnerable — the people the party, at its best, wants to represent, empower and protect — most at risk, this caution has been rational, even moral.

But look. We have now lost so much already and are on the verge of losing so much more. There aren’t many rocks left to cling to, and the ones that exist seem to have cognitive impairment and COVID. So we better leap. We have to leap!”

Dawn Staley makes surprising comment on Caitlin Clark Olympic snub

Dawn Staley says the USA Olympic Basketball selection committee erred in not choosing WNBA phenom Caitlin Clark for Team USA.

Clark, 22, fueled record-breaking ticket sales, and smashed television ratings across all networks.

The TV ratings for the 2024 Paris Olympics are the lowest ever in the modern era.

South Carolina head coach and Olympic committee member Dawn Staley said Sunday that Clark’s recent play proved she should be a member of the Olympic women’s basketball team.

Clark was the most high-profile snub when the women’s team was announced on June 11.

The Indiana Fever rookie and overall No. 1 WNBA Draft pick lived up to her hype during the first half of the WNBA season.

Clark became the first rookie in league history to score a triple-double, and she leads all rookies in scoring assists.

Dawn Staley and Team USA coach Cheryl Reeve were heavily criticized for not selecting Clark for the Olympics.

Reeve, who is head coach of the Minnesota Lynx, claimed Clark wasn’t experienced enough for the Olympics.

But college athletes and amatuers have always played in the Olympic Games. Professional athletes were not allowed to participate in the Olympics until the 1980s.

Staley, 54, now admits she was wrong, and she should have considered Clark for Team USA.

“As a committee member, you’re charged with putting together the best team of players, the best talent,” Staley said in an interview with NBC’s Mike Tirico.

“Caitlin is just a rookie in the WNBA, wasn’t playing bad, but wasn’t playing like she’s playing now. If we had to do it all over again, the way that she’s playing, she would be in really high consideration of making the team because she is playing head and shoulders above a lot of people.”

Staley added: “Shooting the ball extremely well, I mean she is an elite passer, she’s just got a great basketball IQ and she’s a little more seasoned in the pro game in a couple of months than she was two months ago.”

Tiffany Haddish insulted Africans when she expressed her surprise that Africa has a beautiful grocery store.

“I’m out here in Zimbabwe… and look at the grocery store! They got a grocery store,” she said, acting surprised.

Tiffany, 44, took her followers on a tour of the grocery store. She pointed out the groceries available in the “humongous grocery store in Africa, baby.”

At one point Tiffany said to the camera: “I just like demystifying sh*t.”

Americans are shocked to see modernized cities with hi-rises and paved roads in Africa. They expect to see huts and dirt roads.

But Tiffany should know better. Her father was an Eritrean Jew. The comedic-actress has been to Eritrea in Africa. She is a world traveler.

One person on X wrote, “I don’t know what they are teaching them in America.”

Another X user wrote: “They think they are visiting the jungle with hunters and gatherers when they come to Africa.”

A third person wrote: “Tiffany this ain’t the time to be a comedian.. it does not make you look very [bright]. I sending love and my 2c worth.”

Another person said American Blacks have forgotten where they come from.

Police are still searching for the gunman who killed Atlanta entrepreneur Chad Dillon outside his new restaurant on July 23.

Dillon, 33, was shot multiple times just before 4 p.m. at 480 John Wesley Dobbs Avenue in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood.

He was sitting in his black Rolls-Royce SUV and talking on his cell phone when the gunman approached and opened fire. Dillon tried to run, but he collapsed in the middle of the street and died.

The killer fled on foot without taking Dillon’s cellphone, wallet, or expensive jewelry.

Investigators say Dillon was targeted and his murder was not the result of a carjacking or robbery gone wrong.

Dillon owned The Boiler, a popular Cajun-style seafood restaurant in Buckhead. He also co-owned The Seafood Menu in southwest Atlanta with rapper Lil Baby.

Lil Baby commented on Dillon’s death in a post on his Instagram Stories. In the now-deleted post, Lil Baby wrote on a photo of himself with Dillon, “Damn big Buddy get ya rest.”

Dillon achieved success with the first Black-owned crab boil restaurant in Atlanta. The Boiler restaurant earned over $8 million in its first year of operation.

He shared his success with others by giving inmates $2,000 each to start their own business.

However, social media users say Dillon owed money to Lil Baby and others in the Atlanta area.

In the comments of a video showing Dillon’s white Rolls parked next to a private jet, an Instagram user wrote: “You riding Rolls Royces and Private planes but can’t pay cousin what y’all owe her interesting.”

Dillon responded, “her check been sitting there for weeks. She worked 3 days in July and never came back. Contacted us in September about a check and we sent out payroll information for her to fill out. It was completed till November and that’s when she got her check.”

A user on X, formerly Twitter, wrote: “Dillon was doing a lot of bad business with people and wasn’t paying money that was owed, probably did Lil baby like that too.”

Another X user said Dillon was likely killed due to his association with Lil Baby.

“He was killed because he partnered with Street rapper Lil Baby, Leader of the 4pF (4 pockets Full) gang syndicate. It was most likely retaliation against lil baby and his criminal gang located in Atlanta georgia [sic].”

NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal is world famous and wealthy beyond his dreams. But his riches and fame didn’t matter to a real estate agent when he tried to buy a home for his mother in 2019.

During an appearance on the “Earn Your Leisure” podcast in July 2021, the former Lakers superstar said a real estate agent disrespected him.

BACKGRID

Shaq said the realtor asked to run a credit check on him while he was trying to buy a house for his mother.

Shaq, who earned $292 million in his NBA playing days, was stunned by her request.

“I was, like, ‘I beg your pardon?'” he recalled. “My mom was, like, ‘Baby, don’t do that,’ and I was, like, ‘Hold on mama, she disrespected me.'”

The ex-NBA baller told the real estate agent he was more than capable of making the purchase in cash. He demanded a 10-day closing period.

Shaq’s ordeal is another example of credit discrimination.

The real estate agent would never think to run a credit check on former NFL great Tom Brady.

Yesterday, I wrote a post about a car salesman who disrespected a Black man simply because he had a 440 credit score.

It is illegal to discriminate against people based on race or color. But Shaq’s story proves even Black multi-millionaires face discrimination.

Shaquille has a net worth of $500 million. He is pictured with his ex-wife Shaunie during happier times in 2019.

“It’s not about how much you make, it’s about how much you keep,” Shaq told CNBC. “Save 75% of your earnings and put it away. Use the other 25% as you please.”

Shaq’s investment portfolio includes restaurant franchises, such as Papa John’s, Auntie Anne’s and Krispy Kreme. He was also an early investor in Google, and he acquired a stake in Ring before it was bought by Amazon.

Anonymous Lakers player says Bronny caused ‘tension’ among teammates

An anonymous NBA Summer League player says Bronny James caused “tension” among Lakers G League players.

The player said Bronny received special treatment because he’s LeBron James’ son.

The Lakers selected Bronny with the No. 55 pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old guard started for the Lakers G League team, despite not starting in high school or at USC.

The G League player told The Sun that Bronny’s presence caused “tension” among teammates because he received special treatment.

He said the spotlight on Bronny took away opportunities for other players.

“I ended up being very frustrated because I was never put in the best situation, or even put in some plays or game plans because they wanted Bronny to show his skills and shine,” the anonymous player said.

Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images

He continued: “If you talk to any other player that was part of the roster of the California Classic and the Summer League, most of them would tell you the same thing. The tensions were visible, and pretty much we were all thinking about the end of the Summer League to get out of here and focus on our next step in our careers.”

The player told The Sun that the attention Bronny received was “very frustrating” for other players.

“And with dealing with Bronny’s attention and treatment, plenty of the other young guys that are trying to make the roster for next season couldn’t show their best side and show their A game. Almost everything centered around Bronny… He was treated as someone apart, not like all of us, and that is very annoying as we didn’t feel any chemistry in this group of players.”

The player concluded: Bronny is not ready for all this, and he isn’t ready for the NBA in my opinion.”

Bronny’s Summer League play was underwhelming. He averaged 8.8 points over the 4 games he played.

Seattle Seahawks 1st round draft pick Byron Murphy II allegedly owes a transgender OF model $15,000. The sex worker took to social media to post receipts and demand payment.

X.com user @msmariahmonay wrote on July 22: “Byron Murphy blocked me off him and fiancé page cause he owe me 15K. Maybe this will get his attention. He play games and played with the wrong one! @Seahawks he likes Trans instead of paying he wanna go viral. Tag him, his finance [sic], team etc.”

Murphy’s rep issued a statement on Friday after the post went viral on X.

Ron Slavin, Murphy’s agent, said his client is a “victim of an extortion attempt from a text conversation that began and ended online.”

“Recently, my client Byron Murphy was the victim of an extortion attempt from a text conversation that began and ended online,” Slavin wrote. “He had no contact with this person. This blackmail scheme has targeted other young players in the league. We have notified the NFL, turned the matter over to the FBI. Anyone involved in this scheme will be prosecuted.”

Murphy, 21, recently proposed to his girlfriend, Maya Hurd.

Murphy was named the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2023. He played college football for the Texas Longhorns. Murphy was selected No. 16 by the Seahawks in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.

A photo of former President Trump’s intact ear sparked conspiracy theories that he was never shot.

Millions of people watched Trump get shot at a campaign rally on July 13 in Pennsylvania.

One of the bullets grazed the top of Trump’s right ear. Photos show blood gushing from the open wound.

The shooter, a 20-year-old loner, was killed by a Secret Service sniper.

Trump wore a bandage on his ear when he accepted the GOP nomination for president on July 18 in Milwaukee.

However, the former president appeared without a bandage on his ear when he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida this week.

Now conspiracy theorists claim Trump’s intact ear means he was never shot – and the shooting was staged.

However, Trump was seen by emergency room doctors who diagnosed his injury as a bullet wound.

FBI Director Christopher Wray, who was appointed by Trump in 2017, questioned whether Trump was struck by a bullet.

“I think with respect to former President Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear,” Wray told Congress on Wednesday.

Trump’s personal physician, Rep. Ronny Jackson, disputed Wray’s testimony in a letter posted on X.com.

“There was no evidence it was anything other than a bullet,” Dr. Jackson wrote. “Congress should correct the record as confirmed by both the hospital and myself. Director Wray is wrong and inappropriate to suggest anything else.”

Trump’s campaign also dismissed the conspiracy theories.

“Anyone who believes this conspiracy bulls**t is either mentally deficient or willfully peddling falsehoods for political reasons,” Trump campaign adviser Steven Cheung told CNN.

American rapper Snoop Dogg carried the Olympic torch before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Snoop carried the Olympic flame through Saint-Denis, a suburb of Paris, on Friday morning. He was one of the final torch bearers of the Olympic flame, the AP reported.

“I look at this as a prestigious honor and something I truly respect. I would have never dreamed of nothing like this,” he said in an interview last week. “I’m going to be on my best behavior. I’m going to be on my best athleticism. I’ll be able to breathe slow to walk fast and hold the torch with a smile on my face, because I realize how prestigious this event is.”

The 52-year-old California native is best known for his debut album, Doggystyle, which sold nearly 1 million copies in the first week. The rapper has sold over 30 million albums in his career.

Snoop is also well-known for advocating the recreational use of marijuana.

He opened his first licensed cannabis dispensary near LAX airport on July 14 in Los Angeles.

The smoke shop offers Los Angeles residents a safe place for legal marijuana purchases. Snoop marked another milestone on July 15 with the launch of a limited-edition line of Death Row Cannabis products honoring rap legend 2Pac.

Meanwhile, USA flag bearers LeBron James and Coco Gauff were seen heading to the 2024 Summer Olympics on Friday.

They covered up in plastic ponchos as they headed through the rain to prepare for the opening ceremony.

The USA men’s and women’s basketball players are seen heading to their buses for the ride to the opening ceremony.

The men got help tying their ties from Ralph Lauren stylists. The Team USA uniforms were custom designed by Ralph Lauren.
