Car salesman disrespects Black man with 440 credit score

This TikTok video is a classic case of credit discrimination. A white car salesman speaks in a condescending manner to a Black man with a 440 credit score.

In the viral video, a respectful Black male explains that he has $15,000 in cash to put down on the car of his dreams: a $115,000 Dodge Hellcat.

“I bought cars like this before all my life,” said the customer, “and I’m not going from a Bentley to a retired cop car.”

The car salesman laughs at the customer, then persists in selling him junk cars that the customer doesn’t want.

Federal law protects consumers from organizations or people who regularly extend credit.

The Equal Credit Opportunity Act makes it illegal for a creditor to discriminate in any aspect of credit transaction based on certain characteristics.

America has a long history of discriminating against Black people based on their credit score. It is illegal to discriminate against ability to pay when making a determination about credit.

The car salesman in the TIkTok video is not going to extend credit to the customer. So he amuses himself by recording the guy and uploading the video to TikTok.

Rap legend Willie D, of the Geto Boys, says music mogul Clive Davis threw his friend Sean “Puffy” Combs under the bus.

In a video on his Youtube channel, Willie D called Davis out for abandoning Combs when the chips are down.

TMZ recently caught up with Davis and asked him about Combs’ status in the music industry. Willie described Davis’s response: “Clive looked at him and laughed… and Clive looked at the guy who was escorting him and said, ‘I can’t hear you.'”

“That’s cold, that’s cold” said Willie, “because, you know, Diddy has made Clive a lot of money… Bad Boy sold a lot of records.”

Willie repeated rumors that Clive “groomed Diddy.”

He continued: “I think Clive Davis was faking when dude asked him about the status of Diddy and he said the status of what? He trying to act like he didn’t hear him. I think he was faking. Now, he don’t necessarily have to speak on the Diddy situation. But to act like he didn’t even hear him. Act like he didn’t even know Diddy?”

Willie accused Davis of being disloyal to his friend and mentee.

“That underscores one of the things that a lot of our parents told us growing up: ‘You ain’t got no friends.'”

Willie added: “I mean when it really boil down to it, most of these people out here who you consider a friend, man they’ll throw you under a bus to save their own skin.”

Willie went on to say Clive should be under investigation. The rap legend didn’t go into details, but he suggested that Combs learned his predatory behavior from perhaps the biggest pervert in the business.

Oprah, 70, and Gayle, 69, discussed their lifelong friendship and the longstanding rumors that they are secret lovers.

“For years people used to say we were gay. Listen we were up against that forever,” Oprah said.

Gayle added, “I used to say to Oprah, you gotta do a show on this, because it’s hard enough for me to get a date on Saturday night with people thinking we were gay. Because if we were gay we would tell you.”

Melinda said, “It’s interesting to me – being a decade younger – I know when that was said about you. I remember that rough timeframe. But I think that what you’ve taught society is that women can have deep, true friendships.”

Actor Cory Hardrict defended Tyler Perry after Rotten Tomatoes gave his film “Divorce in the Black” a rare 0% rating.

Despite the poor reviews, “Divorce in the Black” is a hit with Amazon Prime viewers. The movie is No. 1 on Amazon Prime.

TMZ caught up with Cory outside a grocery store in Hollywood.

When asked Cory about the Rotten Tomatoes score, Cory said he didn’t see it.

Cory, 44, says his fans and Chicago neighborhood love the movie, and that’s all that matters to him. “It’s the number 1 movie in the world right now. I’m excited.”

Cory says he is working on another Tyler Perry project. He said “Divorce” was “the most incredible experience I ever had on a film. He takes care of his actors. It’s a loving set and, uh, we’re gonna do it again. Big shout to Mr. Perry, man. Y’all stop playing with that man.”

TMZ asked Cory to comment on Loni Love saying Tyler should hire more Black writers and directors to “improve” his work.

Cory said he loves Loni, but he never saw what she wrote. “[Tyler is] amazing. He wrote the number one movie in the world. Go see it!”

Cory also commented on his awkward hug with ex-wife Tia Mowry on a red carpet earlier this year.

“I don’t know nothing about being awkward,” he said. “You know, it’s real love there. We love each other unconditionally. That will never change. We have two beautiful children that we’re co-parenting. And that’s that.”

In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Cory said Tyler values him as an actor and paid him more money.

“He paid me the most I’ve ever made in a film for three weeks [of work],” he told hosts Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy. “And I’ve worked on films five months, $75 million budgets. Three weeks. That’s why I say he’s a gift from God.”

Former President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he will not debate the presumptive Democrat nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.

In a statement, the Trump campaign said Trump will not debate Harris until she is the official Democratic nominee.

The campaign is concerned that the Democrats might switch out Harris for another candidate during the Democratic National Convention in August.

In the statement, the Trump campaign wrote, “Given the continued political chaos surrounding Crooked Joe Biden and the Democratic Party, general elections debate details cannot be finalized until Democrats formally decide on their nominee.”

The statement continued, “There is a strong sense by many in the Democratic Party – namely Barack Hussein Obama – that Kamala Harris is a Marxist fraud who cannot beat President Trump, and they are still holding out for someone “better.”

“Therefore, it would be inappropriate to schedule things with Harris because Democrats very well could still change their minds.”

The statement sparked joy among Democrats who say Trump is “scared” to debate Harris.

The Trump campaign issued the statement after The New York Post reported Wednesday that former President Barack Obama didn’t think Harris could beat Trump.

“Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend Kamala Harris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support,” he wrote.

Barack and Michelle Obama officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday night. The Obamas held back on endorsing Harris after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race on Sunday.

Their initial hesitation prompted speculation that Michelle Obama would declare her candidacy at the Democratic National Convention next month.

The turning point came on Wednesday, when The New York Post reported that Obama didn’t believe Harris could beat former President Donald Trump.

“Obama’s very upset because he knows she can’t win,” a Biden family source told The New York Post.

The Obamas endorsed Harris after Biden’s official goodbye speech to America on Wednesday night.

Biden said he believed “the best way forward is to pass the torch to a new generation” and now was the time for “fresh” and “younger” voices.

“I made my choice. I’ve made my views known. I’d like to thank our great vice president, Kamala Harris,” Biden said. “She’s experienced, she’s tough, she’s capable. She’s been an incredible partner to me, and a leader for our country. Now, the choice is up to you, the American people.”

Apollo Nida is facing domestic violence charges after allegedly attacking his wife.

In March, reality TV star Phaedra Park’s ex husband was caught cheating on his current wife, Sherien Almufti. According to Rhymeswithsnitch, his side chick leaked video of them cuddled up in her house.

A few days later, Sherien called the cops when Apollo allegedly attacked her for kissing another man.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Sherien called police on Apollo on March 11.

The police report, which listed Sherien as Sherien Copes, states she told officers that she had three alcoholic drinks with friends at a bar. When she arrived home, she was confronted by Apollo. They argued about how “they were cheating on each other.”

Sherien said during the argument Apollo showed her a video of her kissing another man.

She said Apollo “pulled her by the hair and pushed by against a refrigerator.”

Sherien said Apollo then attacked her in the kitchen. Sherien broke free and ran outside to ask for help from the neighbors.

When she went back inside to get her phone, Apollo was gone.

Sherien showed police the surveillance video of the verbal altercation. However, the video did not show the fight.

Apollo, 45, arrived back home and spoke with cops who determined he was the aggressor.

The police report noted she did not have any marks or bruises, but Apollo was arrested and charged with domestic violence and simple assault.

Apollo was transported to the Fulton County jail and processed. Jail records obtained by In Touch show Apollo posted a $3,000 bond and was released hours after being booked.

Sherien said the fight brought them closer together, and she’s not pursuing charges.

Sherien tells In Touch, “It was a huge blow out between a married couple that has brought us much closer since then. We have worked through our issues and have been going to couples therapy. The end.”

Angel Reese is the latest WNBA star to join the new Unrivaled 3-on-3 women’s basketball league.

In an official announcement on Instagram on Wednesday, the Unrivaled basketball league revealed that Reese, 22, has joined the league. “The Barbie is Unrivaled. 10/30.”

The Chicago Sky rookie is the 10th WNBA player to join the new league, People.com reported.

The 3-on-3 basketball league was created by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, according to Sports Illustrated. The roster currently includes WNBA players Arike Ogunbowale, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Rhyne Howard, Kahleah Cooper and Jackie Young. 20 more players are expected to join in the coming months.

According to SI, the Unrivaled league offers the “highest average salary in professional women’s sports history.” Yahoo! Sports reported that the players will earn at least $100,000 per season.

“The principle of our league is that it’s the top talent, and women need to be paid accordingly,” Collier told Yahoo! Sports. “We need to be treated as professionals, and so that was a huge thing, is making sure that this is transformative, and something that’s new is we’re going to be paying players what they should be paid.”

The six team 3-on-3 women’s basketball league tips off in Miami in January 2025.

Jeannie Mai shut down a rumor that her ex-husband Jeezy has full custody of their daughter Monaco. The rumor was started by a blogger with too much time on their hands.

Allhiphop.com stated, “Word on the street is #Jeezy now has full custody of his daughter.”

But Jeannie’s publicist quickly dismissed the rumor.

The blogger wrote: “UPDATE: This rumor has been disproven, according to @lorenlorosa, a journalist who spoke to a rep with #jeanniemai, Jeezy’s ex-wife. Enjoy the happy picture for now.”

Jeannie and Jeezy finalized their bitter divorce last month.

According to court documents obtained by ET, the final divorce judgment and decree of divorce were filed under seal.
