Kim Kardashian and North West

Kim Kardashian and her sisters, Khloe and Kylie, have taken the unusual step of trademarking their kids' names.

The Kardashian-Jenner siblings have filed documents to trademark Saint, North and Chicago West, True Thompson and Stormi Webster.

The sisters joined forces to prevent others from profiting off their children's household names.

The action comes after Beyonce and Jay-Z lost their 6-year battle to trademark daughter Blue Ivy Carter's name. Unfortunately, they didn't do their homework before deciding on their first child's name.

Another New York company was already established under the name Blue Ivy before BIC was even conceived.

The Kardashian moms are reportedly planning an affordable clothing line and other money-making ventures that will features their kids’ names, according to TMZ. The moms carefully cultivated the Kardashian Kid culture on social media, making their children almost as infamous as they are.

Kylie has also filed a trademark for 'Stormiworld', which links her daughter's name and her boyfriend Travis Scott's hit 2018 album Astroworld.

Question: Would you trademark your child's name now if you believe he or she might become a famous ball player or rapper later in life?
