Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member Heather Gay is being praised by the LGBT+ community for her response to a social media troll who called her a male-to-female transgender.
Heather, a divorced mother of three girls, had the perfect response when a cheeky social media user asked her: "Could you share more about your transition from male to female? You're going to inspire SO MANY PEOPLE!"
Heather politely responded, "I'm happy to be an advocate for the transgender community if it helps! I'm not transgender but I don't consider it an insult to be called trans either. Let's bring as much awareness as possible to the LGBTQ community! I'm here for it."
Heather is the co-owner of Beauty Lab + Laser, a specialty cosmetics practice that she says is worth $20 million.
In a recent interview with Page Six, Heather said she aspired to be a ghey icon.
"Oh my gosh, I've been praying my whole life to become a ghey icon. If the gheys will take me I will carry the badge of honor."
Heather was born into the Mormon religion and married a member of the influential Gay family, who she says inherited billions from Howard Hughes.
Her divorce was finalized in 2015.
