Logan Vincent Herbert, the only child of singer Tamar Braxton and music producer Vincent Herbert, turns 13 today (June 6). He has appeared with his mother on the reality TV shows “Braxton Family Values” and “Tamar and Vince.”

In a 2025 interview with Sherri Shepherd, Tamar said she might wait until Logan turns 18 to begin dating again. She said she didn’t want to introduce her son to multiple uncles.

“Here’s the thing, like, I didn’t want to keep introducing Logan to the people that were in my life,” Tamar told Sherri. “I just wanna mentally protect him as much as I can and I don’t want to give him any abandonment issues or anything like that.”

Tamar continued: “As a single mother, it’s giving very much I just need to wait until the Lord brings me who the Lord wants me to be with.”

Logan was in the audience during his mom’s interview. He told Sherri that being a teenager means he will be in the streets more.

Tamar explained she’s been celibate for a year and had not dated for a year. “I haven’t been out, nothing. Yeah, but now I’m ready to go outside!” Tamar said she has to be “PrEP’d and ready” for HIV prevention.

Last year, Tamar partnered with Gilead Sciences to promote PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) to African American women. The partnership came months after Tamar revealed she’s taking anti-HIV PrEP medication while dating in Atlanta.

Tamar wrote in a post on Instagram on July 14, 2025: “We need more open conversations about HIV prevention and less stigma. I’ve always been an advocate for Black women, and now more than ever, it’s time we empower each other to ask questions, protect our bodies, and own our joy.”

Tamar said she’s taking precautions while dating in Atlanta – where 1 in 2 men (50%) are diagnosed with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. “I’m on PrEP, and I will tell everybody get on PrEP because prepare yourself for the streets,” Tamar said.
