Turquoise Miami, the mother of rapper Fetty Wap's late 4-year-old daughter, Lauren Maxwell, denies the cause of death listed on Lauren's death certificate.

Lauren died from a cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) at home in Atlanta on June 24, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ.

She was born with a congenital heart defect on February 7th, 2017, and had undergone open heart surgery in 2019.

Hours after TMZ reported Thursday that Lauren died from an irregular heartbeat, Turquoise took to her Instagram Story to dispute the cause of death.

She lashed out at TMZ for "stealing" the death certificate and publishing misinformation about her daughter.

"This is what y'all people do for fun. F–k all y'all. Her death certificate says cardiac arrhythmia due to a congenital heart defect BUT THAT IS NOT THE FULL CAUSE OF HER DEATH THAT IS WHY THE AUTOPSY HASN'T COME BACK!

"HOW DARE Y'ALL GO STEAL MY CHILD'S DEATH CERTIFICATE AND ANNOUNCE THE CAUSE OF DEATH BEFORE ANYBODY WAS READY. THERE IS A REASON WHY! HER AUTOPSY ISN'T BACK YET."

In another post Turquoise accused TMZ of exploiting her daughter's death.

"Y'all love breaking news so bad but this is my life and it's me without my daughter not none of y'all!. I feel the loneliness every night not none of y'all! Y'all so f–kin Thirsty to report a 4 year old. This is my trauma that is why I posted and moved HOW I FELT COMFORTABLE!"

As rumors about their daughter's death circulated on social media, Fetty and Turquoise waited nearly 2 months to confirm Lauren's death.

So far, Fetty Wap hasn't commented on the death certificate controversy.

Fetty Wap is also father to five other children with multiple women: Amani, 5, Aydin, 10, Khari, 5, Zaviera, 6, and Zy, born in 2018.

The 30-year-old rapper, who was born with glaucoma in both eyes, lost his left eye in childhood. He was fitted with a glass eye prosthesis as a child but he declines to wear one as an adult.

Fetty and Turquoise Miami, seen together in an undated photo, waited nearly two months to confirm rumors of their daughter's death.

In an IG post last week, Turquoise Miami shared a photo of Lauren smiling in a swimming pool. Turquoise, whose real name is Lisa, captioned the image:

"This is my amazing, beautiful, funny, vibrant, loving, talented, smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius.

If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself 'i love you LAUREN' because they say that souls can feel your love."

Fetty Wap, real name Willie Maxwell II, followed up with a post on his IG page:

"Y'all can do me a favor? Just post all butterflies. All butterflies. [She] loved butterflies. If you guys could do that, that means a lot."

After Fetty's fans questioned why he waited so long to confirm the rumors about his daughter's death, Turquoise wrote:

"It couldn't hurt Some of y'all to be a little bit more compassionate, you don't have to kick a man while he's down."

She defended the father-of-six and claimed he "improved" as a parent over the years.

"He became more financially and emotionally responsible for her. He didn't post her the same way I didnt, because Lauren use to get a lot of disrespectful things said about her and I asked him not to [sic]."

She added:

"All that y'all need to know is Lauren loved her daddy and he loved her.

"She made him laugh with her crazy funny personality and she loved to be the center of attention and he loved to be her audience."

Fetty dedicated his Rolling Loud performance in Miami to his late daughter in an Instagram Story: "LoLo daddy did that s*** for you last night baby girl."

Updated from a post originally published on June 30, 2021:

Turquoise Miami, mother of rapper Fetty Wap's daughter, Lauren Maxwell, confirmed the child's death on Instagram -- two months after Lauren passed away.

Rumors first circulated in June that the child died of unknown causes.

Sandrarose.com readers were so distraught over the news that I deleted the post.

Lauren was born to the 30-year-old New Jersey native Fetty and model, rapper Turquoise Miami, on February 7th, 2017.

The child had reportedly undergone surgery for an undisclosed condition in 2019.

Fans hit back at online trolls who claimed Lauren's death was a "sacrifice."

Fetty has 5 other children by 5 women and is a constant presence in his children's lives. He shared a photo gallery of his children last week.

He captioned the photo gallery: "Pieces of my heart [heart emoji] ..... It's them over anything or anybody."

Fetty is best known for his viral single "Trap Queen," which debuted at #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 2015. He was signed to 300 Entertainment in 2014.
