Chivalry isn't dead in Brazil -- as one hapless crook found out when he snatched a woman's cellphone.

After snatching the cellphone, the hapless mugger tried to flee on a bicycle. But he was run over by a motorist who saw the attempted robbery.

The mugger, who was only stunned by the vehicle, got up and tried to flee on foot. But the woman and the driver gave chase.

Eventually, more men joined in the chase and cornered the guy. They began kicking and punching him as he pleaded for mercy.

After the severe beatdown in the street the Good Samaritans got the cellphone back and returned it to its rightful owner.

The entire incident and its brutal aftermath were captured on surveillance cameras positioned around the city.

If you are a petty crook who targets women, don't do it in Brazil: REAL men reside there. You might get hurt or killed.
