Tennis powerhouse Serena Williams and rapper Common were spotted holding hands at a South Miami Beach haunt over the weekend. This has to be the most boring couple in the world of entertainment – even more boring than the coupling of Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush (if that’s possible).
I really don’t care about Serena Williams and Common as a couple because neither of these people can sustain a relationship for any length of time. Therefore, we already know when this one will end. There are some people – Chilli comes to mind – who should just give up on the idea of finding true love because it ain’t gonna happen in their lifetimes.
There’s a quirk in their personality or character that sabotages any attempts at a meaningful interpersonal relationship with the opposite sex. They try mightily – and, in Chilli’s case, frequently – but as my grandmother used to say, “No cigar.”
