Add Swizz Beatz‘s wife Mashonda to the list of jump offs who have come up and cashed out.
- Rapper/producer SWIZZ BEATZ is to divorce his wife after four years of marriage, according to reports.
Swizz Beatz – real name Kasseem Dean – and his R+B singer wife Mashonda wed in 2004 and have a one-year-old son, Kasseem Jr.
A spokesperson for the star has refused to specify a reason for the couple’s parting, but is adamant the separation was “on amicable terms”. The representative tells sources, “Their union was one shared in love and deep admiration for one another.

Every women that is dating an entertainer and happens to partake in the industry is NOT A JUMP OFF. How do you know that they weren’t happy with each other and then things just fell apart?

Is there something in the water? Did I miss a Waiting to Exhale II? What the hell? Although divorce is rough, it doesn’t pay to be unhappy–especially when children are involved. THAT’s why we need to fall back…stop all the shacking and hunching. We have all these babies and very few lasting relationships. You can’t turn a h.o. into a housewife, it’s a proven fact.

I’m sad to see this split. I didn’t see it coming. Mashonda is definitely not a jump off. She was a wife. not because a man is a celebrity and he’s with somebody that’s not necessarily a celebrity means she’s a jump off. Then you could say Jada Pinkett is a jump off because she doesn’t have nearly as much money as Will does…and we know she’s not a jump off. They’re are kids now. You just get divorced? Now what. I respect the Africans (true Africans) belief and ideas as they relate to family. Once you bring these kids into the world, its no longer about you. How will this affect the kid? Whatever it was that cause you to divorce was obviously in place before you married. this is lame of both of them, or any other couple with kids and they’re thinking of themselves and not the kids.
