Dre 3000’s Mother’s Day was not a happy one

Yesterday was a joyous day for most Atlantans who celebrated Mother’s Day with their families and friends. Unfortunately, Atlanta was hit with another round of tornados that tore up some areas south of downtown which is still reeling from the last tornado.
Andre Benjamin’s mother who is affectionately called Ma Benjamin, lost her home in Fayetteville as high winds blew her house down. Luckily, she has a son who has the means to rebuild her home or buy her a new one. But our prayers go out to Ma Benjamin and anyone else who lost their homes.

Damn I really feel for everyone who lost their homes…my prayers go out to those families.
I love Andre 3000 I hope he comes out with some new material…

I know he gone do her right too. I hope he has her one of those “green houses” built, being that he’s a vegan and all. You know, save the earth type stuff.

thank God she is ok & it was only her home that she lost. That can be replaced easily… I hope everyone in Atlanta is ok. My ex lives there and unfortunately, he was ok. Dammit!!!

Damn! I live in Dallas where tornado all through here and I have yet to experience one! And oh yeah bye way, Andre’ 3000 can get it!

regardless if they can afford it or not, to lose a home is a serious blow..especially of it’s a home and NOT a house..the memories, you can’t replace..my heart goes out to this family and others who have lost their homes and don’t have the means to repair
How sad, but at least she is alright it could have been worse.
i’m glad his mom is okay, especially after hearing about those deaths in missouri…
besides andre having the ability to replace the house, she likely had insurance as well…

I agree with 2bme it’s hard to lose a home especially with all the memories & stuff but luckily she is ok, Im sure he will make sure she has something bigger & better but I can imagine the loss is still hard to deal with!!!
the storm was rough. my mom lives in CP and she said she was scared. i am in chamblee and much didn’t happen on that side besides rain. gosh.
i heard about ma benjamin while at the ne-yo mothers day brunch. porscha foxx mentioned that her home blew over BUT ma benjamin had such a great spirit and was grateful to be alive. she seems like a sweet lady (must be since she is the mom of my future husband!) she was suppossed to be at the luncheon but had to take care of that business.
which by the way the luncheon was very nice. john legend came to sing and did such a great job. he’s charming, and very suave.

Sidenote: If you haven’t seen Andre in “Four Brothers”, please rent it. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by his acting skills.
