Magic Johnson’s HIV Cure: Natrol

When NBA legend Magic Johnson announced he had contracted HIV, many fans began to mourn his imminent death. But Magic has astounded the medical community by outliving his life expectancy.

Today, Magic Johnson’s HIV viral load is undetectable in his blood stream.

How did he do it? By fighting the infection naturally with a supplement called Natrol.

According to Naturally Yours, an organic natural health blog, Natrol is an extract from the stumps of larch trees, which grow in Central Europe, North America and parts of Russia.

Natrol, which is marketed in the states as My Defense, is used as dietary fiber in food and drinks. But according to the manufacturer, it contains an ingredient called ImmunEnhancer which the manufacturer claims “can improve the body’s immune system”.

Whether such claims can be proven remains to be seen. While there is no cure for HIV, Magic says the supplement has improved his quality of life and he swears by it.

People were always saying that he does not have it anymore. $$$ talks and b/s walks. So I guess that this will be availably to the poor that HIV? Hell No! There is a cure for people like him. Think outside of the box.

It really is a slow morning, huh!?!…I am glad that his status is undetectable, it shows that his health is a major priority…It’s a shame that those in Sub-Sahara Africa are not able to get access to the same drugs.

Magic know he paid whoever to get a cure. I believe that there is a cure, but we will never see one unless we have the money that Magic has.

I agree with what was said… He paid for a cure. All the natural supplememts in the world cant take away a deadly virus, only money can. Unfortunately insurance companies get more money by prolonging the virus with drugs distributed by the govt

I truly do not believe that there is a cure.I hope that the world really isn’t sinister and cruel.I do believe that there when you have money that you can try more alternative medicines. But honestly HIV is no longer an imminent death sentence. They are alot of ppl who are living good and looking good and they are positive. It’s just a sign of the times they have more medications than they did in the early days.I’m happy for him.

Did you see the movie Mrs. Ever’s boys? It was based on a true story of the government withholding the cure for Syphilis(sp?. The government has been known to do this type of thing. It may be a conspiracy theory but I believe there is a cure for HIV. Money does talk.

I’ve always believed that myself. I also believed part of what Rev. Wright was saying in regards to the Government making HIV/AIDS…………..Some say Aids and HIV came to be because of a scientists who wanted to find the cure for pollo, but instead of using monkeys from the Philippians he used monkeys from Africa and after finding the “cure” he went to the Congo in Africa and forced all of them to receive the shot without testing the drug he has just made and than destroyed all the evidence

Yes I’ve seen it and normally I am a consliracy theorist and very anti-establishment.But in my gut I just don’t believe that.

I agree with all the above…$$$ talks.

I also believe there is a cure. I also believe that we live in a world where every year a certain amount of people have to die (as the government believes) or the world will become to over crowded. So IMO the crocket a** governments around the world…………the U.S being number one; kills off a certain amount of people a year…….whether it be from AIDS/HIV, war, cancer etc……….the government is foul and cruel. So do I believe they will with hold a cure………hell yeah……..they can find out anything else they need to know but YOU CAN’T FIND NO DAMN CURE FOR A DISEASE IN WHICH IS KILLING MILLIONS GTHFO

IMO the US has some of the smartest people in the world. We have people from all over who are some of the best scientist and researchers on earth that come to the US. I will neva understand how after all these years we still can’t find a cure. I do believe that’s str8 b/s…..money talks;Ask Magic

    2bme says:

A few years ago I remember reading that they were very close to a cure..and with some if detected in time could reverse the affects..however it seemed to work on those who were minorities only..it wouldn’t take with any who lacked “melanin” and until that happens..people will continue to live or die with the disease

  18. 18
    SlimA says:

Stop all this foolishness and just be happy the man is healthy. Just because he’s rich he doesn’t deserve to be cured? Go figure

They don’t have a cure for the common cold. However, I do believe there is a cure for these diseases such as HIV/Aids and cancer. But this is such a money making business in the health field that money becomes more powerful over somebody’s health.

I know by now everyone has heard of the shot Gaurdisil. It’s suppose to be a cure to prevent cervical cancer. They are pushing it on young minority blk girls, why? Well because the shot closes the womb making it difficult for one to carry a child. Now it is a scary thought that maybe a child will end up with “cervical cancer” but again they haven’t found the cure for the common cold. So in all essence, I will teach my child abstinence so that she will NOT contract the HPV virus (which can be contracted from skin to skin contact)which in turn will increase her chances of having cervical cancer if contracted and not treated.

I have a friend whose father is in his 70s living with the HIV/AIDS virus, one day during an appointment, they said that they couldn’t/didn’t find any traces of the virus in his blood. But he still has it, just like Magic.

    I’m just sayin’

    ckarinwhite says:

Please don’t be fooled!…Just because it is undetectable that DOES NOT mean you don’t have the virus or that you cannot pass it to someone else. It means that you viral low is very low!…Please be informed!….

I have a 14 year old daughter and we recently went to the Dr. and the Dr. was trying to push this on us. I said no we’re not doing that. This medication has been on the market for less than 5 years and you want me to put it in my child. I don’t think so. The Dr. was highly annoyed. Oh well, she’s mine deal with it.

I remember hearing about a drug (can’t remember it’s purpose)that was pushed on women in the 50’s or 60’s. Once these women started having babies the babies were born with serious birth defects or they had a hard time carrying a baby to term at all. These problems were later traced back to that drug.

Don’t believe everything commercials or even your Dr. tells you. Do your research. Like someone else said the medical field is all about making dollars even at your expense if need be.

of course its undetectable now. he’s rich. he can afford all the drugs, supplements, etc to get it out of his bloodstream. its sad, but money talks.

Im not against medicine, I am intrigued with the body. I work in Anatomic Pathology and I love it! But I refuse to let me or my child become a human lab rat off of somebody’s “experiment”. I don’t trust Tylenol let alone a shot of any sort. I remember back in the day when ppl were running to get that Depo shot and Norplant (four rods that are placed in your arm to prevent pregnancy). Yeah right. My sister ran and got that Norplant and woke up one day with her whole head of hair laying on her pillow looking up at her. She stay rockin’ braids and wigs ever since and that was in the early 90’s. Miss me.

Eat right, practice abstinence/safe sex, leave the negative ppl behind and pray and you will live a healthy properous wholesome life.

I do believe in HIV/AIDS but i do not believe how it came about. Prior to the 80’s noone had it, not even in the 70’s when the sex revolution was at its prime when people sexually free.. its bull****! I find it odd that the people that are affected by it the most are in the African, African American and gay community. We all know for the longest that we (blacks)and the gay community have been looked at as expendable ..Seems like population control to me..

  30. 30
    miamore73 says:

Abhor I totally agree with the population control theory. Crack and HIV was a great way to control the population of black folks.

prynsexxx-I never got that shot or that norplant thing. I’m not down with nothing that’ll have my period coming once a year. God didn’t intend for me to have one or two periods a year. I’m not messing with it. I’ll stick to my pills. I’m married so abstinence ain’t working at my house. ;)

This whole undetectable things scares the hell out of me, because I don’t have sex due to not wanting to catch HIV. My plan has been, when I get out of school and establish myself in my career I would then open my planner to dating. I refuse to have sex with anyone that I haven’t had tested. But with this whole undetectable thing. How will I know that the person hasn’t already tested positive at some point?

    This is just crazy.

  33. 33
    ckarinwhite says:

    @ shhhh

When a HIV positive person has a viral load that is undetectable it only means they have a low viral load, they will still test positive on any HIV antibody test.
