This marriage is a total sham according to CNN Showbiz Tonight, Sandrarose.com and the rest of the world. Who does MC, Nick and People magazine think they’re fooling?

I raised an eyebrow, when I heard that ppl were “speaking out” about it on Oprah. Now if it is a sham, Oprah is going to be mad as all get out. This wouldn’t be the first time Oprah has been played.

She even did a show with Mariah a few weeks ago, so I KNOW if she is speaking on the “SHAMmarriage” that it “might” be something.

I personally don’t believe the hype. Mariah is way to full of herself to have a “secret” wedding that isn’t advertised publically.

Why does CNN care? Would it be a big deal if the person she is worth “a thousand times” more than were white? Just asking. Nick is successful in his own right. He’s no Kevin Federline. He does make his own money. So whats the big deal? Why mention the fact that she’s worth more than him. she’s more well known than him, he’s benefiting from the publicity while its hurting her…Says who? Something tells me the whole outrage approach wouldn’t be a factor if Mariah married 1 of her video models who always seem to be white or ambiguous. ^You know what I had Whitneys name in there to believe it or not, but opted to take it out because Whitney was able to overcome it. Regardless she remaind successful, and no matter what folks said about them, no matter how many comic view commedianes cracked jokes…Whitney was able to keep an audience. Some folks arent so lucky. And lets not forget Mariah openly admits not many (even til this day) realise that she is Black or biracial or whatever she is! And speaking of Oprah…lol. I watched a clip of her interview with Barbra Walters online. Now I didnt see the whole show, but what was up with her turning to the audience to say “and it was a Black man” (i promise I wont mention race anymore after this).lmao. Oooooooooh. @ Brenden ~ My problem is not that Nick is “black”. I think the whole situation came out of no where. One day we hear about Nick being in her new video, the next day they’re dating and the day after that they’re married? Nick had been engaged to how many women in the past couple of years? Mariah is still so damaged over her marriage to Tommy that 10-11 years later she’s STILL singing about it? That doesn’t sound like a woman who’s gonna marry just any body. Those are my thoughts and that’s why I don’t buy into this what so ever. If they’re still married in 5 years, THEN I’ll believe it’s real. Other than that I’m just waiting for the announcement that they did have a “ceremony”, but it wasn’t legally binding or the annulment announcement.

well Oprah just confirmed that she spoke with Mariah and it is true, and the pics are on the cover of People mag. I don’t know how genuine the relationship is seeing how they only been dating a month or so. Gail King (Oprahs BFF) even mentioned the fact that they have not known each other long enough. Seems suspicious, but as we know time will tell!! All I wanna know is…Why corny, goofy as Nick Cannon, he’s cute but, they aren’t equally yoked. I wish them well but, we’ll see!!

However I have to question the medias outrage. The people on Showbiz Tonight are giving their opinions just like all the rest of us. They didn’t give facts proving the marraige was a sham. Furthermore, the sista on the show downplayed Nick’s accomplishments drastically like he was some scrub instead of the youth icon that he has been since he was a tween.

This is not the first impulsive marraige after a whirlwind romance. Faith and Biggie got married after 9 days of knowing each other. Nick is a proven serial monogamist so I could see him falling hard and getting married. The only weird part is that he married a nut case like Mariah which leads me to believe that he may be a nut case himself. In any event, either it will work out or it won’t. I hope they enjoy every moment of what is probably intense new love.

Wow. Well, if they are married, and it appears that they are, I can’t see what reason either of them would have to fake it or that either would benefit whatsover from faking this. Mariah surely did not need to fake a marriage to sell records, and Nick was already doing just fine with his career too. I think it’s fake. If not, he was either cheating on the first girl with her or she’s a rebound. I feel in my heart that both have their reasons for doing this. This story made news because no one can see them as a legit couple. Not because of Nick being black and everyone being deluded that Mariah is “white”. Come off the damn race soapbox and stop looking for issues that aren’t there. It makes the REAL race issues not near as important as they should be, they get clouded in people screaming RACE on MC and Nick’s wedding/publicity stunt.
