I can’t see the wedding clip, but I’m sure it was beautiful. I did see their pic in our local paper and yes, the groom is a chocolate cutie!
The only thing rubbing me raw right now w/ TD Jakes is that he has laid off over 200 people from his Potter’s House Ministries – including my uncle who worked in the marketing department. My uncle was told that tithes and offerings were not coming in as much since fewer people were attending church due to gas prices and cuts had to be made.
Call me a hater if you want, but I bet no expense was spared in this wedding, while hundreds of people are out of a job.

I heard MegaFest was in Africa this year.
Oh my ol’ $2 company issued computer is running at about $1.50 rate right now……it’s taking a long time for the video to show….the nerve of these ppl after I’ve worked like a Hebrew slave today and didn’t get to log onto SR.com until after 1 this afternoon. IT is about to get an IM askin’s “what’s the deal”.

So, the deal is to blame low attendance on gas prices? Tithes will be/should be paid regardless, is there a mailbox on the church property? Don’t get me started. The wedding was lavish and beautiful, but I had no idea about the employees. That’s sad.
My mom told me what happened @ hellava10 @ mina. My uncle used to work with and said he was just shell-shocked and said it came out of nowhere when he talked to her.
Yeah, blaming the layoffs on tithes and offering didn’t sound right to me, but I’m not a big fan of mega-churches and don’t really get into judging what they do. It just seems that if you are running a church like business – which has to be done at times – tithes and offerings would not dictate salaries, since tithes/offerings seem to ebb and flow depending on people’s situations.
sounds like he needs to bring back the infamous building fund offering or have a fish fry

yeah sandra, my computer is blocked also but 2thick i don’t think it’s a work problem. one of my co-workers can get on the site from their computer. i think windows is blocking it (from an earlier virus attempt) but i’m going to get my friend, who is a microsoft engineer, on the problem.
I am home trying to view it and it is temp. unavailable. I would love to see it. Sandra, me not being able to view it is a sad thing. I am a tissue in hand holding misty eyed person for black love and seeing a vid/pics. Hope I can view this later.
Isn’t she only 20? Why is she getting married at such a young age? Did she finish college? What is up with his sons?

I’ve never been part of any church’s administration team, but I always thought that any salary would be funded by the tithes and offerings, since they have no additional source of income; unless the bookstore is meant to be raking in tons of money…
