By now you’ve all heard the mainstream media uproar over “leaked” insider information regarding Alaska governor Sarah Palin.

According to a McCain insider, Palin allegedly didn’t know Africa was a continent and, among other transgressions, she supposedly came to the door of her hotel room in a bathrobe while campaigning as VP.

According to MSNBC and other media outlets, a McCain “campaign advisor” came forward to reveal that he was the source who leaked the scurrilous Palin information to Chris Cameron at FOX News.

Cameron, FOX, MSNBC and others were so caught up in an orgasmic frenzy that they forgot one simple tenet of their profession: to know their source.

As it turns out, the McCain “campaign advisor” — one Martin Eisenstadt — never worked for the McCain campaign and may not even exist! The leaked information from the McCain camp insider was apparently all a hoax!

FOX News has yet to confirm or deny the hoax, while others in the media, including the Huffington Post, are backing away from the story as fast as they can.

These smug, journalistic purveyors of gossip who ran wild with this story, are left licking crow off their collective faces while struggling to fathom how they were so easily duped by this elaborate hoax.
