Why doesn’t the media hold Obama’s feet to the fire when he lies?

Once again Barack Obama’s name is connected to a scandal.

Yesterday, the news broke of Obama’s friend Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s arrest on corruption charges for conspiring to sell Obama’s empty Senate seat.

Later that day Obama held a press conference to deny ever discussing his Senate seat with Blagojevich: “I had no contact with the governor or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening.”

We know that’s a lie because Blagojevich is heard on a federal wiretap calling his old friend a motherf**ker because Obama wanted Blagojevich to appoint Obama’s pick, Valerie Jarrett, to the Senate “for nothing”.

In this video, watch as Obama’s senior advisor David Axelrod, appearing on Fox News on Nov. 23, very clearly states that Obama spoke with Gov. Blagojevich about his senate seat.

Obama’s camp is now claiming Axelrod “misspoke” when he said he knew that Obama was in contact with the governor.

If Axelrod misspoke on Fox News back in November, why didn’t Obama’s camp step up then and say he misspoke?

And if Axelrod “misspoke” back then, does that mean everything he says about Obama in the future should be taken with a grain of salt?

I guess KHQA TV 7 also misspoke about a meeting between Obama and Blagojevich to discuss this very same subject?

I predict that in less than a year Obama and his administration will be the laughing stock of the world.

Unlike a child who lies out of a sense of self-preservation — Obama lies for the hell of it because he’s arrogant enough to believe he can get away with it.

The writing is on the wall, sooner or later Obama’s shady associations will catch up with him.

The MSM [mainstream media] issued a huge pass to candidate Obama during the election when it came to Rezko et al. They cannot keep that up through an entire presidency. (Source)

You know, Sandra’s silly comments not withstanding, I’m a little worried about this thing. Apparently, everyone around this man knew that at the very least he was touched. Why didn’t more people speak out about him? Is our government so jacked up that a bunch of educated people entrusted to set and enforce the laws and policies of this great land would simply sit back and allow a lunitic to hold a state’s highest office? Barack knew this man too and said nothing. It definately makes me uneasy even though he hasn’t broken any laws himself.

I don’t feel Barack is shady. I do believe he mispoke and what he should have said is he didn’t know or partake in any bribes regarding his replacement for US Senate. I don’t know why Sandra feels that we (his supporters) believe the man is perfect or the 2nd comming. He is a politican but that doesn’t mean he is a shady one. Maybe he is maybe he isn’t. The bottom line is he can’t do any worse than Bush or any other white man before him!!

@Bird of course he knew the Gov. but that doesn’t mean he knew of the Govs. shady business dealings and trying to get money for the Senate seat. I don’t think he knew that and said nothing. Anything is possible but I don’t see it. I will say I don’t think Val Jarret should have been on the short list of possible replacements. I was not feeling that at all. Nothing against her but other ppl put in way more political dues than she has.

#1: Obama IS NOT PART OF THE “DEMOCRATIC MACHINE” that Daley/Blago runs…Daley and Blago didn’t even SUPPORT Obama when he ran for Senator…so guess what…Obama owes them corrupt MOFOs…NOTHING!!! Obama has built his short political foundation not to mention his long LIFE on NO KICK-BACKS AND BEING MR. CLEAN…and neither you nor anybody else can dispute that…because folks have been TRYING for years…

#2: Because Obama is so clean and so good at what he does…he was able to get an old dirty machine player…Emil Jones, an Illinois senator who wants to get on Obama’s GOOD SIDE…to change his No vote to a Yes vote regarding an ethics bill that finally got passed in IL (a bill that Blago vetoed and Jones helped to override),…This ethic bill that OBAMA pushed and helped to write…prohibits contractors from donating beaucoup money to public officials for “favors”…this ethics bill comes into effect on Jan. 1st, which is why Blago was pushing REAL HARD for some upfront money NOW…

Was the Democratic machine trying to “dirty” up Obama? Yes…that’s where Rezko came in…however, Obama was too smart and understood dirty Chicago politics too well to let the machine’s machination F-him up…which is why A JUNIOR SENATOR FROM ILLINOIS RAN FOR PRESIDENT…not a LONG TERM SENATOR FROM ILLINOIS…the longer Obama would have stayed a mere Senator in my dirty a$$ state…the more probable it would have been for him to get involved into some real b.s. and be guilty JUST by association…

Now regarding Axelrod misspeaking…uhhmmm…THAT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME…that dosen’t mean someone is a liar…that means that somebody made a mistake…

I’m sure he talked to the governer about his recommendations regarding who should replace him – does not mean he discussed something shady with him.

Let’s play a game called “Common Sense” Ms. Sandra.. I think this a game played by the MSM, though I am not sure what constitutes MSM.. Fox believes it is not MSM when it most certainly is.. But I digress… I think this “Common Sense” game will be fun.. Let’s begin:

First: I am not one to believe that Obama is some poitical Mother Theresa. You have to go along before you get along in the world of Politics and I believe he like everyone else, and I mean, everyone else has done that. I do not believe that he has done it to an extent that is ethics can be questioned. I read on political blogger who stated it best, “Obama had to acknowledge the political machine in Illinois but he was not a part of it. Nor was he “friends” with Rod B.

Second: As is done in politics, I am sure Obama reached out to Rod B to discuss who he thought would be a good replacement for him. But as you can tell by the complaint filed by the Feds, nothing was every offered in return for that senate seat other than a Thank you and appreciation. No money, no favors, nothing!!

So you can continue your tirade and continue to pick and choose how you interpret information.. But it would be good, every once in while to play the “Common Sense” game and utilize some critical thinking skills when tryin to decipher where President- Elect Obama fits in all of this. I think you would enjoy it..

ABC News has a law enforcement source telling them that Jesse Jackson, Jr. is “Senate Candidate Five,” the one who was — according to Blagojevich — willing to supply campaign cash in exchange for the Senate seat.

ABC reports:
Jackson Jr. said “I don’t know” when asked if he was Candidate #5, but said he was told “I am not a target of this investigation.” Jackson Jr. said he agreed to talk with federal investigators “as quickly as possible” after he consults with a lawyer. The Congressman, a son of the famed civil rights leader, denied that anyone had been authorized to make payments or promises to the Governor on his behalf. “It is impossible for someone on my behalf to have a conversation that would suggest any type of quid pro quo or any payments or offers,” Jackson Jr. told ABC News. “An impossiblity to an absolute certainty.”

Actually I read that he called him a m-F-er because he didn’t want to sell the seat, but I guess that’s the media covering up the issue.

Sandra..I couldn’t wait to join your blog. I waited months for registration to open while logging in everyday to browse your entertaining post. The daily perusal of your blog and comedic banter of your community members was part of my everyday routine. But now I’m not laughing anymore! More and more your post are about Obama and not giving me that warm fuzzy feeling I used to have when I would come to your blog instead of doing my work. I don’t know that Barack was aware of this guy’s illegal activity, but based on the news show I watched last night everyone knew the dude was crazy. Like straight up lunatic. They are saying it as diplomatically as they can, but it translates to, he’s insane and if you speak to him for more than 10 seconds you would know it. They are all speaking out now, but they didn’t say anything before this idiot got caught. Why not?

You – Better – Preach! McCain fought and bought his way into politics and if he had to throw money to get a Senate seat, he’d would have been throwing that shyyyt left and right and everyone that knows McCain knows that he’s not above doing whatever it takes to get his.

Hell, when he ran for a seat in Arizona, he was still married to 1st wife and living in another state (i think it was FL). Anyhoo, his future in-laws was throwing money around left and right trying to get his deformed left arm in – by any means necessary.

Are you going to report how Fitzgerald said that President Elect Obama is not implicated in the indictment and that when he is mentioned in recording it is about him not wanting to play ball in anyway other then giving the Gov. a pat on the back and saying good job also that was done by a third party. And also word around Washington is that Obama’s people may be the ones that tipped off the DOJ and gave the evidence that helped them get the wire taps.
