I received this email from PBrown, CEO of Street Talk Promotions. At first I wasn't going to post this, but then I changed my mind.

I think people need to see what happens when a so-called legitimate media outlet puts sensationalism before community pride and common decency.

Listen to the reporter chick as she hypes up an unfortunate incident at a charity event as if it's a newsworthy story. She totally ignores the good that came out of the charity event.

Rolling Out TV also disrespected the organizers who put a lot of money and time into this event.

Kudos to industry veteran Debra Antney who stepped in to try and restore calm.

Subject: 3 MIN OF BULLSH*T?? THAT'S ALL U GOT?? GIVE ME A F**KIN BREAK!!!

HOLD ON TO YA HATS,

CAUSE IM ABOUT TO GO IN ON THIS ONE...

I RECENTLY SENT OUT A BLAST THAT GAVE A RUN DOWN OF THE MANY CHARITABLE EVENTS THAT WENT DOWN IN THE ATL OVER THE LAST 3 WEEKS,AND FOR THE MOST PART MADE MANY COMMENTS WONDERING WHY ALL OF OUR POSITIVE EVENTS VIRTUALLY GO UNNOTICED BY THE "WHITE" MEDIA ....

BUT SADLY ,

HOW THE FUCK CAN I COME DOWN ON THEM WHEN ITS "US", WHO SO BLATANTLY DESTROY OURSELVES???

I MEAN, JUST WHAT IS A LITTLE PUBLICITY REALLY WORTH???

TELL ME ROLLING OUT TV!!! WHAT THE F*CK IS IT WORTH!!

IS IT WORTH MAKING A EVENT THAT GAVE AWAY $10,000 WORTH OF TOYS, CLOTHING, AND PRODUCTS TO A COMMUNITY WHERE 99.99% OF THE PEOPLE WHO CAME OUT LEFT HAPPY, LOOK LIKE SHIT???

IS IT WORTH THAT!?!?

IS IT WORTH SHOWCASING THE IGNORANCE OF ONE FEMALE IN A ROOM OF OVER 200 OTHER STRONG BLACK WOMEN, SOME WHO HAD TO PUT THERE SELF PRIDE ASIDE BECAUSE THE ECONOMY IS FUCKED UP, BUT THEY WANT THEIR CHILDREN TO STILL HAVE A DECENT CHRISTMAS, IS IT WORTH SHOWCASING THE IGNORANCE OF THIS ONE FEMALE, KNOWING THE COMMENTS THAT WOULD COME WOULD BE DEMEANING AND TOTALLY DEGRADING NOT JUST TO THIS ONE WOMAN, BUT TO ALL BLACK WOMEN???

IS IT WORTH THAT!?!?

OK STREETTALK FAM WATCH THIS VIDEO AND THEN YOU TELL ME, WHO IS MORE IGNORANT???

A. THE LADY BITCHING ABOUT NOT RECEIVING A BIKE OR,

B. THE SO CALLED "EDUCATED" CAMERA CREW OF A NATIONALLY KNOWN BLACK OWNED MEDIA OUTLET THAT CAME OUT TO A 7HR EVENT, FILMED HOURS AND HOURS OF COVERAGE OF A SUCCESSFUL POSITIVE EVENT, AND THEN CHOSE TO PUT 2:26 SECONDS OF IGNORANT BULLSHIT ON WORLDSTARHIPHOP.COM, FOR THE WORLD TO SEE????

YOU DECIDE!!

OH I'M NOT FINISHED JUST YET..WERE WE NOT AT THE SAME EVENT??? I MEAN, WHAT EVENT WERE THEY COVERING WHEN THEY CLAIM IN THE VIDEO THAT..... "the lady was mad because there was no toys for smaller kids", STREETTALK READERS!! PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT THESE PICS ARE FROM THE EXACT SAME EVENT & TAKEN AT THE EXACT SAME TIME ROLLING OUT TV WAS THERE!!! THE EXACT EVENT I BLASTED OUT IN MY LAST EMAIL THIS MORNING!!

NO TOYS FOR SMALL KIDS???? WTF???

LET ME SAY THIS, THAT 2 MINUTES AND 36 SECONDS HAPPENED AND I WITNESSED IT, BUT I ALSO CHOSE NOT TO TAKE LESS THAN 3 MINUTES OF A 7HR EVENT AND TOTALLY OVERSHADOW THE FACT THAT DJ HOLIDAY AND 107.9'S BEESTROH MADE CHRISTMAS FOR OVER 300 KIDS A HELL OF LOT BETTER THAN IT WOULD OF BEEN WITHOUT THIS EVENT. --- OH YEAH BY THE WAY, IT WAS NOT SHAWTY LO'S EVENT, HE WAS A SPONSOR, THE EVENT WAS A 107.9, BEESTROH AND DJ HOLIDAY EVENT!!

I CHOSE TO REPORT THE POSITIVE WHICH I GUESS MADE MY SHIT BORING TO MOST.. I CHOSE TO GIVE ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS, SPONSORS, THE VENUE, AND EVERYONE WHO TOOK TIME OUT OF THEIR BUSY LIVES THE TYPE OF GRATITUDE AND EXPOSURE THEY RIGHTFULLY DESERVED.

WHAT WAS YOUR CHOICE ROLLING OUT TV???? BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS ALL ABOUT CHOICES AND WHEN A MEDIA OUTLET SUCH AS YOURSELF MAKES SUCH RECKLESS CHOICES WITHOUT CONSIDERING THE NEGATIVE EFFECT IT HAS ON THE BLACK COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, NOT TO MENTION THE STRAIGHT INSULT TO THE EVENT ORGANIZERS ITSELF, IT SHOWS WHY WE CANT GET ANYWHERE AS A BLACK COMMUNITY, WHY WE CANT GET POSITIVE PRESS, WHY WE FALL SHORT OF BEING LOOK AT AS EQUALS....HOW THE HELL CAN WE GET MAD WHEN WE DO IT TO OURSELVES!!! ROLLINGOUT TV AND ROLLINGOUT NEWSPAPER OWES A LOT OF PEOPLE A MUCH DUE APOLOGY FOR THE NEGATIVE POTRAYAL AND THE AWFUL COVERAGE OF THIS EVENT.. I CHALLENGE YOU TO MAKE GOOD ON THEM.

OH YEAH ,BY THE WAY.... WHAT DID_ ROLLING OUT DO FOR THE COMMUNITY THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON????

PLEASE SEND PICS AND COVERAGE OF YOUR COMMUNITY EVENTS TO STREETTALK404@AOL.COM, I'M CURIOUS TO SEE THEM....

They should have escorted the fool from the premises....

All i can do is shake my head ... fee fi fo figga ... BOY how i hate NICCAS !!

If there wasn't an innocent child involved in this situation, I'd say that "girl" should have been thrown out without receiving anything! I look at this video and I don't think it portrays the good people who put this together in a negative light...I respect them more for taking the time out to tolerate this girl and explain where the gift is actually coming from! I'd say hopefully she will see this video and realize how much of a fool she made herself look like to the world, but anyone who would act in such a manner when "asking" for something free to help their child is obviously already too far gone for change!!

That woman needs to be ashamed of herself. Instead of spending money on that wack a$$ weave, she coulda bought a gift for her small child.

  • Island Princess

Most of the charity organizations in my state were canceled this year because the economy is in financial distress. This mother has no integrity and should be thankful. Honestly, the organization donated $10,000 for children so they could have a wonderful Christmas.

She acted ignorant and ghetto! You made your child so stop acting like someone else owes you. That is right Mina, she has money for weave so she could have used that money to buy a present.

She is the type of mother that will spend her money on weed, liquor, the nail and hair salon before providing for her children. I can not stand mothers like that. Get your priorities straight.

    This really pissed me off!

There is no excuse for the disgruntled females' behavior. There are children close by and she disrespected them as well as herself. Her tantrum was completely inappropriate and a classic example of ignorance at its best. I salute all the people that did something this holiday season as well as year round to impact others. I totally understand where PBrown is coming from – Roll
Out TV could have done better.

@ Iyonah, you don't know what that woman is going through in her life that put her in the position to accept charity for her kids. Then to stand in line for hours only to find out they ran out of toys for the younger kids. Maybe that was her breaking point. She's probably overwhelmed with feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. She probably doesn't have the coping skills to deal with her anger. We shouldn't rush to judge this lady because we're not walking in her shoes.

Sandra, last I checked, beggars can't be choosers...

  • SHANIASMOMMA

sandra are u kidding me?? please stop

  • http://myspace.com/iyonah iyonah

@ Sandra... your right and wrong. The judgement isn't about what she said, its how she said it. It was uncalled for - BOTTOM LINE. She could have said the same thing, minus the theatrics & then this would have been discussed SERIOUSLY. Her point wasn't made - if the event actually ran outof toys, or wasn't well planned that would be discussed opposed to her.

I would have been much more inclined to help someone who could have at least humbled, and thankful for the opportunity to be there. In my job in Human Resources, we are often in charge of commnity services and organizing largescale charitable events for the hospitals in our communities. Homegirl would have received a police escort and a swift kick at the door. I think people forget what "charity" really is. No one owed her anything. And the worst part about it is that the kids standing around watching her will grow up with the same feelings of entitlement, believing that acting a fool is the way to get attention or get your needs met. This is so sad, but at her breaking point or not, she showed unadultered ignorance.

  • sexyma078

Ok....now I feel for the mother...I have been there..maybe...see i remember when I first had my kids and I was working hard and ends still didnt meet so i would sign up for these kind of events...only to find out that the people that were supposed to be giving were STEALING...(google TOYS FOR COPS FOX FIVE DC, this just happen this year)...what I cant stand is people who dont do shi* then dont get shi* and they act like they been done wrong...Not getting a gift for Christmas wont kill a child you can be crative and find away to make a child happy....Lucky for me I work for a great group of people and though i'm an "associate" they know my money dont flow like theirs and they bless me every year to the point I dont have to come out of my own pocket....but lets not act like we all aint be takin there by ssome turn of event and had to get a little "loud" espeically when it comes to our "babies"!!!!

Sandra, if she would have swollowed that PRIDE/ANGER that caused her to lash out and broke down crying I would have had sympathy for her, but to act a fool is down right disgusting. If she could have held that ignorance in for the sake of her child Im sure everything she needed would have come to her. However she failed that test of faith. Hello All! If these black women are "so helpless, so hopeless" then why oh why do they continue to make babies? I'm just saying.....not judging, just trying to figure something out. Peace. (Now curse me out and call me all kinds of names for asking a simple question.)
