Chris Brown Charged With Two Felonies
As predicted, woman beater Chris Brown has been officially charged with two felonies. The LAPD and the L.A. County prosecutor’s office have come under fire recently for allowing evidence from the case to be sold to the highest bidder. They have since built a solid case against Chris Brown, who will most certainly do time in this case:

The L.A. County District Attorney has just charged Chris Brown with felony assault and making a criminal threat, also a felony.
The charging documents name “Robyn F.” as the alleged victim.
Brown will be arraigned today at 3:30 PM in downtown LA.
A spokesperson for the D.A. tells TMZ he could face a maximum of four years and eight months in prison.

It’s no longer about rihanna-the crime was committed against the state and with or without her cooperation they have the pics after the incident, her statement to the police, and of course the hospital staff statements.

I hate how the media misuse legal jargon to make a person practically convicted …. it’s annoying……yes he’s been formally charged but during arraignment, but legally one can only have an arraignment or grand jury trial if they have been charged otherwise there no point! SMH….if a judge or jury decides their is not enough evidence to go to trial then he will be released.
he is facing 8 mos to 4 years if convicted. and since anything over one yr is a felony( which is why T.I. recieved one year and a day due his is guilty plea) he will probably get a year if that.
The people who should be protesting are the women who have been in this situation and watched the man who terrorized them get no time or 6 months in prison for continued abuse and chris brown get none or 1 year.

According to police reports, Rhianna told them that this was a consistent pattern of abuse that grew more intense with each altercation. People close to her have also said this. So there is already a Pattern establish so I don’t understand your logic Daisy?

Thats why I wanted to wait until the story unfolded before throwing darts at him. Grant it, no man or woman should hit, beat, slap, kick, or whatever out of anger to anyone, but some times it takes two.

Just like there is a difference in condoning something and supporting two young people in a terrible situation.
It was wrong when Tyrese did it, Puffy did it, and whoever else is a wife beater pedophile. I don’t support any of those men so again your logic is flawed and now I’m done on the matter. I’ll be sure to raise my children so they both no it is not okay to hit a man/or woman. And I WILL be sure to especially tell my son that IF a female hits him to walk away and if that is not an option to shake some darn sense in to her and then walk away. I was just looking back on history and realized that celebrity pedophiles have a much easier time than celebrity woman beaters. R. Kelly is not the first one. Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Russell Simmons and Sharon Tate’s fugitive widow all did the nasty with teens as grown men and married them in some cases with no punishment. Sharon Tate’s widow was convicted and has been on the run for a ridiculous number of years, but he is still a world renowned Oscar Award winning director that many a Hollywood clamor to work with. And now he got the nerve to be asking the US to let him come back without going to jail.
The beaters on the other hand, get taken down. Well if they’re black they do. Ike Turner was ruined by his situation with Tina. OJ was ruined after pics of a battered Nicole circulated. Some of you are too young to remember his acting career, not to mention his Hertz commercials. He has not been able to get work since he beat his wife and the pictures were published. I bet he got anger management too and you see how well that worked out. Terence and Tyrese mean nothing to mainstream media. Them beating their women is not news. Actually had Chris beat a regular chick he might have been ok because he’s not a super duper star either. The fact that he hit Rihanna who is an international crossover superstar is the reason he’s gonna have a hard time coming back from this. The minute Rihanna leaves him her career will bounce back.

Okay I know I said I was done but having just read the Police report and other documents posted on TMZ and I am firmly stating that Chris Brown is a @itch and needs his !ss whooped ASAP! Not only did he bite, punch and slam her head against the window but HE THREW HER CELL PHONE OUT OF THE CAR WHILE DRIVING SO SHE COULDN’T CALL ANYONE. He continued to assault her even though she had her head bowed down between her legs and then put her in a head lock while driving (swerving on the road) and biting her all over. Those were the facts and I work off of facts not hear say.All the gossip and inside sources a not admissable. It is not about being right or wrong.Has he been charged? Is there more information available, official and sworn statement? Yes. So now I can form an educated opinion regarding his actions. I would hate to be a jury with you, since you obviously make up your mind before you have all the facts of case..
The SWORN statement by the detective rocked me to the core. I can’t believe anyone could make it through something like that let alone go back to the person that did it. It’s awful and I hope he prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I am here.. I defended Chris Brown because all the facts weren’t in. I stand by what I said before, and that was that none of us were there or knew what happened. As I said in my earlier post, not that a sworn affidavit by a peace officer has been released, we have more information that is based on fact.. NOT gossip.
You can yell (all caps), scream (all caps), and feel vindicated because you were ready to throw Chris Brown under the bus at the drop of a hat before the facts and before even the picture was released… But that has nothing to do with Chris Brown or Rihanna.. That has more to do with whatever issues or experiences YOU have had in life.
It is what it is. So a couple of guys got lucky and were never incarcerated. Oh well. Chris Brown got caught and just like they should have, he needs to pay seriously for his actions. I don’t know if it will be jail time or in the court of public opinion, but karma’s a b*tch and he needs to get his.
When you and I make mistakes, we have to pay for them. He should be no different. NOBODY should have gotten in the way of him rising to stardom. You make a good point about redemption. The thing is given the statistics for BW and domestic abuse he is going to get dragged through the mud because Chris and Rihanna just became part of the numbers. I am open to redemption, but cruising in Miami on a jetski and cheesin’ for the cameras is not it. I don’t like T.I. and I am not even sure of his motives, but the fact that he is trying to do something with some youth after his mistake is worth something.

Interestingly, the folks on HLN are having the same argument as us to a certain extent. One was sayiing we have to remember that Chris is a victim himself. Not only has his life been destroyed by this, but he was the unfortunate witness of domestic violence against his mother as a child. She was saying people need to take into account that he is a 19 year old boy. Another commentator came back and said no one needs to be thinking of Chris as a victim right now. Rihanna is the victim. All of the commentators were pissed about the jet ski pics.
So there is going to be back and forth. I don’t feel sorry for Chris anymore, but I did at one time so I understand how people can still feel that way. Don’t sweat it sis.

@Bird I was on the fence about the Jet ski pic but knowing that Chris knew what took place that night and that it was going to come out he should have remained MIA for a little while longer. I said on the other post his PR team sucks. He should have made a public apology today at the court house to begin to save this sinking ship. I still feel in the end he will bounce back but it will be a long road.
I don’t think Chris should be looked at as the victim per say but his childhood is real and as my mama would say you can’t change the truth.
Again I pray they both get the help they need. God forbid something else pops off 6mths-1yr from now his career will be toast for real!
Last but not least she might not have been there physically but I do believe she is supporting her man at this time.
