Obama bowing down to Saudi King was not protocol
Not to beat a dead horse but the other blogs are running wild with the pictures and video of Obama bowing down to the King of Saudi Arabia — who did not reciprocate the gesture in kind.
It should be obvious from this photo which master Barack Obama serves. His deference to the King (which is against customary protocol) is an embarrassment to Americans everywhere. Obama didn’t simply bow down to the King, he damn near broke his back, while the Queen got only a handshake.
In case you’ve forgotten, Obama himself wrote in his book, “Audacity of Hope”:
“I will stand with [the Muslims] should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
Since being elected he has bent over backwards (and now forwards) to show deference to the Muslims. He has not done the same for the American people who are still losing their homes and jobs at an alarming rate.

i am beginning to think you really dont like people of the Muslim faith. how one choose to seek spiritual enlightenment can be debated, but should be judge as to a people’s self worth. African American had that type of thinking placed on us as a people and its still wrong. at the end of the day, are you willing to die rather than accept Muslim blood ? kidney ? cornea ? or help when you are in accident ?
Like I said before, Obama knows who has the money and pays the bills. I’m surprised he didn’t kiss the Saudi King’s feet.
This man can’t breath and I’m sure many presidents before him made blunders but they weren’t publicized this is getting sad on Societies part, it’s like they won’t even give him a chance. This is the only time I wish Black people would take an easy on another Black person who’s in the spotlight, or at least wait until he does something major damn.

The fact that he did it anyway means that he didn’t give a damn what Americans think. Many Americans are outraged by this. Bowing down to the Saudis implies that they are more powerful than we are. You only bow down to those who are Superior to you. Notice that the King didn’t reciprocate? Obama is an embarrassment to this country.
so i guess we want to keep the tradition of when we go to other countries we just do us and thats it? forget their tradition and what is done in their country. but when they come here, they have to follow our rules. is that still the messsage? thats the reason why 95% of the countries hate us in the first place because there is no respect. a man cant even be respectful without getting flack. this is real sad.
the only people who have problems with this is fox news and others who STILL cant get over barak as president. the only embarrassment to this country are the people that CONTINUE to disrespect and fight the president on everything move he makes to try to improve this country. this country is a mess left by a man who did not give a damn about the american people. you dont think bush was over there wheeling and dealing for that arab money then you are blind. he was not bowing down to the saudies to show that they are more powerful than we are. that is the most ridiculous stretch i have ever heard. talk about reading way too much into something. stop looking for things. if people would come together and work to bring this country to the great place it once was then clinton was in office, things would be alot better. republicans are nit picking because they are trying to distract you from the REAL issues like how they are holding up important bills. i would never believe a black woman in todays world would prefer the good ol boys way of doing things.
as much as i love this site and the beyonce posts and all the gossip in the A, i have to leave because the ignorance is too much to bear. this mentality is the reason why things will never get done and will never change. finally we have a president that is for the people and is working to fix this economy and all you can do is tear him down and point out the most stupidest things. its a shame and a disgrace

Military protocol has been strictly followed by every sitting president. Leaders or military personnel do not bow or curtsy to any king or queen nor dip the American flag for another country’s flag. The Obamas followed this rule when meeting every other head of state in England including the Queen. He didn’t bow down to the Queen and he was in her country! But as soon as Obama sees the Saudi King he bows deeply to him as a sign of subservience. If you do your homework you will see that world leaders do not bow down to each other because they are considered equals. Also, the lower you bow, the less important you are to the person you are bowing to. Since Obama decided not to follow protocol, why bow down to one and not to all? Trust that Obama knew exactly what he was doing.

Who are the Americans that are outraged by this? The ones with a prejudice mindset who believe Christianity is the only way? People who burn crosses while wearing white tents? People who think every muslim is a terrorist?
I see Obama with an open mind. If he does something wrong, I feel free to critize bc I can and I won’t let him slide just bc he is the first biracail president BUT, Sandra you’re just waiting for him f*ck up on anything to post stories that equate to not a damn thing.

It’s clear who Obama’s master really is and who he is really serving. As others have pointed out on other boards, Obama was experienced at bowing all the way down to the Saudi. It’s obvious he’s done that before. He practically kissed the man’s hand.
By the way, 15 of the 9/11 terrorists who killed 3,000 Americans were from Saudi Arabia.
He can always make it up to us with a tax rebate check…..LOL, I know this is a very serious subject, but incase any of Obama’s peeps are reading this, I thought I’d throw that in the conversation.
Personally, I think Obama needs our (Blacks) help more now than before. We need to help him get on track for our country. Speaking out is not wrong, anti-patriotic, or anti-Black. It’s being proactive.

I was trying to visit Dubai last year. Airfare to dubai was really reasonable.
My daughter has a friend who got a great job there after college. She said that they want more westerners.
Isn’t Dubai the new financial capital of the world … replacing NYC? I always found it curious about manmade islands in the shape of the Americas. From what I’ve read Dubai isn’t hurting for money during this recession. They are still building skyscrapers, casinos, etc.

Honestly, Obama’s bowing was stupid. So was Clinton’s affair with Monica and just about every public address coming from G.W. was and sounded stupid. Get over it. move on. this is a just ANOTHER distraction from the REAL issue that affect the everyday people of world who could care less if Obama bowed, fist bumped or hugged the Queen or the d@mn King. It is very disheartening to still see people giving relevance to such stupidity. It is up to each individual to decide whats important to them and in a time were you could lose your job, house, car, or means of supporting yourself - “royal protocol” is THE LEAST of my worries.

@Sunny my neighbor had a gfriend in Dubai doing contract work. We were going to go a few yrs back but her friend got sick and came back to the states and they gave her job away. I was so mad..lol All I had to do was get a plane ticket we had free room and board with her friend

You know what happens when naysayers get blogs. You get an unprecedented amount of misinformation and lies. I love it though. I think the fact that people ,like Sandra, cower behind poor credible blog post and purposeful misinformation is flat out pitiful. I guess people have to do that to deal with their own inadequateness as an individual in their own way. People can have whatever opinion they want of President Obama, its their God given right. The total carelessness and irresponsibility of individuals, that by day just sit around talking, posturing, posting but not doing a damn thing to change the quality of life for others is insurmountable. I mean Sandra if you don’t like the President’s job he’s been doing for the small amount of time, do something. I mean the irony is, I’m getting a laugh out of it, that even though you don’t agree with him you actually need to take on one of his ideologies. Why don’t you go out and become the change that you envision? I mean that would at least be more credible than finding out who’s Karrine Stephans’ next jump off, Usher’s newest hit, or President Obama’s latest mishap. You know? The bulls#$t. I know this is for entertainment purposes and that you have no journalistic professional experience, obviously but don’t let having a your name followed by a .com get your ego out of wack. Hey, you took on the job of wanting to inform the people and that comes with great responsibility. So, my advice is work harder on becoming a more responsible and credible source. That way you can be closer to the very people you feel like the President is ignoring. It does a heart good. The problem with Obama bowing down to the Saudi is that it goes against military protocol for the leader of this country to bow down to another leader. It shows weakness and it tells that leader that he is more powerful than ours. It also shows that Obama is well-practiced at bowing all the way down to them. Have you seen him do that to anyone else? It’s clear that they knew each other. Where do you think Obama got $600 million to run for president? From $5 and $10 donations? They couldn’t destroy this country from outside so they will do it from inside the White House. Obama wants a new world order and guess who he wants to lead the new world order? Only a king’s loyal subjects bows down to him. Everyone, including children, knows this. It’s also a sign of subservience. That’s why the King didn’t bow down to Obama. Because no self-respecting world leader would bow down that deeply to another leader. So Obama’s gesture is not a way of opening up any diplomatic channels. Obama is bowing down to his master - the one he really serves. The one who really put him in office. One day you’ll open your eyes. But unfortunately, by then it will be too late.

Holding hands is nowhere near as demeaning or subservient as deeply bowing down to another world leader. LEt me repeat that it goes against established and time-honored military protocol. If he’s going to do away with military protocols one by one then why should the military continue to respect or obey their commander-in-chief? Furthermore, the Queen of England is just as powerful if not more powerful than any middle eastern monarch. The Queen herself is a Monarch. Where do you get your information from?
