FanMAIL: Blog Wars III
Here’s a loyal reader’s perspective on this new blog beef kicked up by Angel Laws of Concrete Poop, who is salty because all that brown nosing she’s been doing isn’t paying off for her. While she was hobnobbing with celebrities, walking red carpets and poppin’ bottles, she forgot about her base — so they forgot about her. Oops.
Hi Ms Sandra Rose, this is Trapp with The MIC DVD. I was writing to let you know that I used to go to that concrete loop blog but it quickly became just another boring blog to me. I understand that it was at one point in time one of the top urban blogs out there. My question is why is the woman complaining now. When she was on top there was no complaining about people stealing her ideas and all this other mess. Soon as she realizes she has lost her influence in the blog world she comes out with all this. Everybody knows that once you become in the upper echelon in any industry that’s when the real work has to begin in order to keep your place at the top. When you get caught up in the trips back and forth to New York and all the exclusive parties she should have thought about that new blog that’s waiting to take her place in the bogging world. Now she’s hating on you because you constantly find innovative ways to connect with your readers. Maybe instead of her attending some of these exclusive functions she should have did a contest like you do for her readers to attend.

At one time she was getting a lot more traffic than that. She’s losing readers so she’s going after the blogs that she feels she is losing readers to.
the day i posted a comment that the “high school high bunch” including CL staff had messed with the wrong organization when they made jokes about gary coleman and his ashy hands and a group of nurses or some diabetes foundation addressed them directly-was they day I was banned from their site
so you it’s completely about azz kissing over there, at least here you can speak your mind and it’s not about a popularity contest
Maybe she should take it to the streets and fight the bloggers and make it official. All that back and forth blogging is boring. Quit talking if you ain’t doing **** about it. We need WAR
I admit I used to read CL but it became too many post about Christina Milian and Cassie, 2 people no one cares about. Not to mention posting all those designer clothes during a recession as well as those damn pop ups got on my nerves. And how are people copying them? Most black blogs cover the same people anyway

agreed Smokie. Do you remember when that Amare Stoudamire advertisement took over the whole SR site. I was like ah hell naw, her we go again. I think (hope) that was just some glitch though.
CL used to be the stuff, I said that in the original post but it fell of more so for the posters immaturity then the content itself. NB and SR are my regulars now.

I never heard of that other site until today, so Sandra may be doing CL a favor by even mentioning her blog here. That said, I don’t think I’ll be revisiting her site.
I started reading SR because of her political take on Obama. I kept reading because of Sandra’s witty posts. I’m not into hip-hop or the hip-hip culture, but I love Sandra’s posts.
Now I walk around talking about what’s going on in Atlanta and who’s twittering. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. LOl

I used to read ****, but stopped once they made it exclusionary. I have no desire to be a part of a clique…i.e. kissing one “starruhs” arse. She cut her own throat when she began with the registration. Most folks just be floating through gossip sites and may occasionally want to post something. She put that registration on there and I said forget it; don’t have time to register for a site that pretty much posts the same stuff as YOUNG BLACK AND FABULOUS (another site I don’t go to anymore because it’s just BLAH.

@Ms Tia: I totally agree. SR has the upper hand in that she obtains photos herself from these events that NOBODY else has. Yes, its ATL events, but lord knows I HEART the ATL
