Why are we bringing up old stale news?

Can somone explain to me why we’re bringing up old news and why are my readers emailing this old news to me?

For example, didn’t we already know that actor Shia LaBeouf’s people cooked up a fake story about him dating Rihanna, but no one believed the story so they dropped it? Why is he bringing this up again?

Correction: If it happened at all the way he says it did, I’m sure SHE wasn’t passionate about him in that way. I mean, she probably thought she was going on an innocent lunch date with the nerdy looking guy. I’m sure she wasn’t planning a lifetime together with him based on one date.

And speaking of nerdy looking guys and stories that should never see the light of day: why are we talking about these two again? She’s nothing spectacular and neither is he. SO they’re dating? So what? Don’t we already know that? Haven’t we talked about them for going on two years now? Am I missing something here?
