Obama’s Speech Getting Mixed Reviews
Hussein Obama’s 45-minute speech to the Muslim world from Cairo, Egypt this morning is getting mixed reviews around the world.
Here in the U.S., the lame duck liberal media can’t find enough accolades to praise Obama’s speech, in between sips of their Kool-Aid.
But right wing bloggers are pointing out the glaring inconsistencies in Obama’s unity message. Such as the fact that he seeks to repair the chasm between our two cultures, but sidesteps the brutal rapes and stoning of women and children daily in Muslim countries, such as this sad case of a 13-year-old girl who was convicted of being gang raped and then stoned to death by 50 men.
American Thinker points out that in his speech, Obama conveniently omitted a passage in the Koran that refers to violence when he said:
“The Holy Koran teaches that whoever kills an innocent, it is as if he has killed all mankind; and whoever saves a person, it is as if he has saved all mankind.”
But Obama left out the very next verse that said:
The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;
I can see why Obama would leave that part out of his speech.

I didn’t hear the speech or have I read anything about the it. There are times I have to step back from the news and the speech didn’t seem that important to me. I guess I’ll find out how important/historical when NWO happens … rofl

So now Obama has to set policy in other parts of the world? You can’t begin to bridge a chasm by attacking the other country’s laws and customs.
And by no means do I not find their treatment of women despicable and deplorable. I was just stating things from a political standpoint.

Post up some ideas or something…cuz none of these people are going to believe you if they flat out don’t want to. How many people got on the boat with Noah when he told everyone about the flood?? Well unless you are building a space ship for us to take off in when the earth goes up in flames you may want to consider giving this a rest babe.

Well I think that is part of the reason why americans are hated around the world. We try to oppose our values and views on other countries. Muslims and their way of doing things have been around 100’s of years before us. So you don’t condone some of the things that they believe in, but it shouldn’t stop you from opening a dialogue with them to eventually change some of their harsh rules towards women.

How can you be mad about Obama about fixing things like rape and the inwequality of women in ME when women are still fighting for their equality here and get raped on a daily basis.
I know yal heard about that 11 year old girl in Philly who was raped and the neighborhood wiped his ass when they found him. Well that is what should occur in Islam as well.
Rape is a grievous sin and the only reason those people stoned her is cultural and not religious! Arabs used to bury their daughters in the sand long before Islam and there are still some who think that daughters, women are pointless.
It is important to understand that it is not All Muslims who do that and Arab does not instant equal Muslim. And I will state again you don’t hear about any of that happening in Malaysia or Indonesia and they have more Muslims alone than the entire Arab World.
I think the speech was great.

some people will never like President Obama, no matter what he does. and as long as he has lite skinned, he will never be scene as someone who did good. the bush administration was so arrogant that they ostracized the world. the conservative cannot understand that the world doesn’t want to be a white man. if you arent glorifying the WASP life style something is wrong with you. 1.5 billion people in the world are Muslim, to not offer an olive branch to them is insane. to think the world should follow a WASP way of thinking is also insane. i like the speech, it was needed. the Muslim wold needs to know we are not at war with them or their culture, because America was found on religious freedom.
