The revolution currently taking place in Tehren, Iran now has a face and a voice. Her name is Neda Falehi. Neda was shot in the chest allegedly by a Basij (police) sniper, who fired upon the crowd as they peacefully demonstrated against the fixed elections held in Iran last week. She was only 16-years-old.
The video begins as a mortally wounded Neda slumps to the ground, assisted by her grieving father and a bystander. The men begin chest compressions to no avail. The sniper’s bullet likely tore through her heart and lung. Blood quickly fills up Neda’s lungs and pours from her nose and mouth. As Neda dies, a martyr is born.
Inna lillahi wa ina alahi rajioun. I hope these people succeed in what they demand from their government. I DO NOT think the US should get involved. We did that with the Iraqi’s and got them all murdered.
I saw her story on cnn yesterday. very sad =( i saw one video where they were beating a 7 year old. it hurts my heart.
Morning
@KC Roland Martin gave a history lesson this am on TJMS about how the US got involved back in 53 or 59 and overthrew the leader at that time which is why Iran does not like us to this day. I agree the US should NOT be involved. Democracy comes from the people.
jesus christ. wow.
I saw the uncensored video on CNN for the first time this morning. Now I see why they were initially blurring her (it actually looks like a man to me) face. That was very gruesome. I hope they keep it up. Unfortunately lives must be sacrificed whenever there is the necessity to fight for human rights. If they stay the course they will win. God bless the youth of Iran.
