That’s what some in the media are whispering. They say little Paris Jackson, 11, was pushed to the forefront before she was ready. They may be right. Paris’ speech seemed forced — like she was under a lot of pressure to “perform.” She seemed to be under duress and anxious to please her new caretakers. A sure sign of duress was when she cried but no tears fell.
It was too much pressure brought to bear on a child who lived her entire life under a veil.
One industry friend that I spoke with last night remarked on the fact that Michael Jackson would be appalled if he were alive to see his family exploit his daughter in such a manner. The child that he shielded from public scrutiny all her life — being used for some cheap publicity.

My understanding is that one of the jackson sisters was suppose to speak. And she wanted to speak. When she said what she said….they decided that would end of that note.

@Starr THANK U I came back to post what BWalters said as well..lol I record the View daily. She said they asked the oldest son and he said NO so I am sure if Paris didn’t want to speak she wouldn’t have spoken. She wanted to let the world know her father was the BEST plain and simple!

Hello All. I hope I’m still around when MJs kids are grown, just to see their talent and how they handle the media. And I’m glad they’re rich. After all, I’d rather be rich and unhappy than poor and unhappy any day. As for Paris, it did seem a little forced, with all the Jacksons trying to stay in the spotlight at once, grabbing the mike and trying to stay in line of the camera. I can’t wait to see how Latoya exploits her dead brother. She’s such a wacko, way more than Michael. Just an observation. Peace.

(Go to the tube & search michael Jackson- the interview) Amazing footage of him over the years. & I see he always spoke of his love of children. No one cared then funny how once he became bigger than life they tore him down.

Hi Crystal, I don’t know how old you are but I was a teenager when Elvis died. All the media talked about was his drug use and how he died of a cardiac arrest while sitting on his toilet. They went after his doctor too. The doc ended up losing his license. Again, this is not about smearing Michael’s name. It’s about putting the greedy doctors who fed his habit behind bars.
Crystal Sandras write. I was a probably a toddler when Elvis died and I’ve heard over and over about his abuse and about him dying on the toilet and Lisa Marie being the one to find him.
I don’t believe the story though Auntie. If Joe had been on stage I’d find this more believable. I can’t see Janet forcing that baby to speak when she didn’t want to.

Your article is about smearing the family saying that they forced Paris to make a statement, if you looked at the same show I and every other person saw and what Barbara Walters who was sitting behind the family saw she was not forced or pushed she WANTED to speak about the father that they lost and LOVED. If it’s about the physicians talk about the physicians and leave the children alone. I always thought that children were off limits.

Also sorry Crystal have to agree with Auntie on this one I remember when Elvis died my daddy worked at a bar parttime and used to bring home tabloids people left to give to my grandma I used to read them. They(media) DID do the same thing to him. As far as Priscilla she met him when she was 14 in germany didn’t actually see him again till she was 16. Also I personally don’t think a ten year age difference considering they got married makes him a “chester”. None of the other woment he was linked to were that much difference in age I think he just loved HER.

The media always do a little comparing when similar death of a celebrity happens. Why not compare his situation to the next. River phenox and somebody else died the same way and the linked both stories or campared the two celebrities, dammit I forgot who was the other celebrity

Sandra, I once agree with you. However, we should then focus on the doctors and not on the family. I think what Paris said was from the heart; it’s just that simple. my 83 year old grandmother keeps talking about the doctors and how they should be held accountable. However, not once have I heard her say anything negative/nasty about this family (especially the kids). Yes, it is well know about Elvis. But keep in mind, Elvis didn’t spend his whole life being talked about. Also, if I am not mistaking, it was known Elvis was using.
Once more thing: Leave kids out of grown folks mess.

The way they keep bringing up Micheal Jackson past you would think HE is the first person to ever taken drugs the way the media saying he did. The doctors too need thier credential taken away, anytime your Dermatologist writes you a Rx for Dermerol you better be able to back that up unless you just did some type of invasive surgery on the patient.
Crystal I agree with you about the media being unfair to Michael I just don’t find the argument about Elvis his death over 30 years ago and it relation to the media a very effective one.
