New Music: Rasheeda - Certified Hot Chick
If you didn’t already know, local rapstress Rasheeda’s fifth studio album, Certified Hood Chick, is in stores now!
Don’t tell anybody I told you this, but I heard that the last time rapper Nikki Minaj was in the A she had the nerve to try to step to my girl Rasheeda. Whut? She didn’t know Rasheeda stays packing heat. But I’m sure she found out!
Unlike that hood rat Nikki Minaj, Rasheeda can actually rap and has had local hits. We here at Sandrarose.com love Rasheeda because she is real. She’ll tell you about yourself in a minute. And she is never too big to attend another rapper’s parties without demanding or expecting compensation. In other words, she knows how to be a friend and when to be an artist.
Rasheeda doesn’t floss or perpetrate like Nikki Minaj either. And unlike Nikki, Rasheeda doesn’t wear the same thing EVERY time you see her.
When asked about her nationality (because she does look mixed), Rasheed responds, “I am ghetto, classy, crazy, African American hood chick.”
Oh, and, unlike Nikki Minaj, Rasheeda’s long, wavy curls are REAL!

So I guess since I’m not from Atlanta I’ve never heard of this girl. I never knew u needed “long wavy curls” (lol) to be pretty. She doesnt look mixed to me however everytime I see her pics at event pics I always say she’s a very lovely girl.
Sorry Sandra, I couldn’t even make through her whole 1st verse (didn’t make it to Diamond’s verse), which is probably due to the fact I was listening for when she starts spitting better than Nikki Minaj. Maybe if she wasn’t being compared to Nikki I would’ve given her a chance, but no–she sounds like every other chick out there on the Louie bag rap style. Granted I’m not familiar with her, but at least Nikki is bring a different style that isn’t (imo) being utilized right now. Nikki got that heat (flow, metaphors, and decent singing)!!

Yeah, Rasheeda has been rapping for a good minute, but to bad she hasn’t had that #1 hit that has put her on the map. She ain’t nuttin to brag about, but at least she still grinding to get money. I can’t hate.

The only reason I know that song Bubble Gum because it was in the movie Paul Blart: Mall Cop. It was also in a clip of United States of Tara (a show on Showtime). Outside of that, I don’t know Rasheeda’s music. I just know her to be with Kandi hanging out and creatively trying to come up with a group. What was it? Peach Kandy?
