Rihanna performed her hit “Rude Boy” on the Ellen Degeneres show today. We love RiRi’s dance hall moves! And her voice sounds a lot stronger in this performance. Maybe she’s working with a good vocal coach?

Premature statement. If Rhianna wouldve brought the same energy and dance moves (from the video) to the stage, this performance wouldve been a lot better.
Just more proof that Rihanna will never shut down a show…she is so boring…but the girl is very pretty!

No for real I just read on RWS that they are remaking the Last Dragon and Rhianna has a starring role. (I guess as Laura Charles) & Sam Jackson is playing Sho Nuff.
I don’t know what to think about this. Who is fine enough to play Bruce Leroy? 
Some things should be left alone & I have a feeling this is going to be one of them.

@ Isc I think a remake would be good. All remakes dont suck, but nobody comes to mind for the Bruce Leroy character. Really cant think of anybody besides Will Smith in his younger days….

I can’t hear the video on the hotel computer, but I HAD to look at it to check out the “dancehall” moves since I know Riri is not a dancer. Cute for her. I don’t mind that she doesn’t dance. Many singers don’t; Mary J., Sade, Mariah, Keyshia, Alicia, etc. I don’t mind at all. She looks adorable as usual and that’s all I care about. I also don’t hate her voice. It’s her music in general that I’m not crazy about, but this song is growing on me.

Much as I love her I’m not crazy about her playing Vanity’s role. I can’t think of anyone for either of the roles because “Bruce” Leroy Green was so young. Chris doesn’t have the innocence that he exuded in that movie, plus I’d kinda like the new guy to have “good hair” like Taimak. Does Taimak have a gorgeous son? Let him do it.
BTW I’m cool with a remake of this movie because the acting in the first one sucked big time. A remake would have to be an improvement in that area.

Compared to last year (stiff as a board when performing) I think her stage presence is improving.

That is a matter of opinion. I feel very strongly that Alicia and Mariah’s singing is marginal at best and Keyshia can’t sing a lick. Many people say Mary can’t sing although I disagree. I think RiRi fits in that group just fine.

Yes yes yes. Quincy can do it! Even though he doesn’t seem very innocent to me either, but maybe an acting coach and good director could pull it out of him. Zoe just doesn’t seem like the damsel in distress type. What about her play auntie Keshia Knight Pullium?
I think Alicia can sing, I have seen her in concert 3x. She will miss some notes here and there at times but she can still sing to me. KCole sings with emotions and MJB vocals have been ON POINT the last few yrs!

It amazes me how low expectations have gotten for todays entertainers..Now we are reduced to “pretty good” and “needs improvement” instead of “phenomenal” and “Amazing”.
What happend to expecting more from our artists? Anybody can wear cute clothes. I want to see your ass give me a damn show..Or atleast sing your heart out. Not look pretty. I could watch a fashion runway show if I wanted to see you look cute in some clothes. I swear Music and entertainment as a whole is DEAD.
And rihanna sucks period. I could care less if she’s pretty or has nice clothes she sucks as an entertainer period.

Finally got to hear the video. She did a good job. I think that in concert I’d need some dancers to keep me interested though. If I were to ever go to a Rihanna concert, which I currently have no desire to do. Not even with dancers.
Why are her voice AND dance moves so Beyonce-esque? I thought her plan to make a departure from Beyonce’s style and carve out her own look/style was going extremely well!
