my grandmother used to add an “mmm” to her “Yellow” so it sounded like “Mmmyellow”. me and my older sister used to laugh our @$$es off er’time she answered the phone.

when i was growing up, the friends i had with single mothers always called the guy in their mother’s life “my mother’s boyfriend”. maybe it’s just when/where i grew up but no one i knew ever called a guy their “stepfather” who wasn’t married to their mother.

i never said anything about the man not loving the woman’s child deeply, who takes care of the child, etc. my statement was based on pure legality and my knowledge of scripture. now i’m sure someone will search hi and low to find a Biblical reference to “step” parents but if you re-read what I just wrote, i clearly state ‘my knowledge’. and i will readily admit i don’t know EVERYTHING.

i stuttered something terrible when i was a kid. i could barely talk and would rather die than stand and read aloud in class. oh, the memories

anyhoo, i eventually grew out of it for the most part. my dad stuttered, as well, and he told me to take a deep breath when i felt a stutter coming on, and to pronounce the word as i exhaled. that helped tremendously and now i rarely stutter at all. if i do feel like i’m going to stutter, i just inhale and say the word i’m stuck on as i exhale, then continue on. nobody even notices. my hubby didn’t even know i stuttered until i told him.

now my two ol’ knucklehead sisters still drag me to this day about times when we were kids and i got “stuck”. heffas!!

a freeze cup is Kool-Aid or any kinda juice frozen in a cup.

as a cancer survivor who stopped chemotherapy and stepped out on the faith of holistic/alternative medicine, let me testify that God always has the final say so. Doctors are here to ‘diagnose and treat’ disease. Back in the day, doctors also researched and developed cures but now it’s all about the money (hence, no cures for anything), which is why I always seek out an alternative or holistic treatment for anything that ails me.

Whatever your condition, research alternative treatments/cures. holistic medicine focuses on “healing” the mind, body and spirit. traditional medicine focuses on treating symptoms with drugs and surgery. i’m not downing the medical field because they do serve a purpose in diagnosing but where they fail is in getting to the root cause of disease instead of just treating symptoms. i know this is a lot to read but please research holistic/alternative treatments for your condition and have faith that you are already healed.

the devil had me thinking i was going to die if i stopped chemotherapy but i’m still here. i have to remind myself of that from time to time when i hear that our chances of having children are around 10% and in vitro is out of our budget right now. my flesh is weak and i get down/depressed sometimes, but my spirit is strong and i may not be able to see how it’s all going to work out, but my faith tells me that it will…and it will work out for my good cuz God made me special like that!

keep ya head up, keep praying and believing cuz no man can decide your fate…that’s God’s job. Let Him handle it.

have you guys researched reiki and other Traditional Chinese alternatives. i don’t know a lot about Traditional Chinese medicine but i have had reiki sessions and felt totally rejuvenated afterwards.

at any rate, as aqtpie stated, God can make the impossible possible. yall are in my prayers.
