I actually can dig these chicks because they have money and still kepp it 100. Meaning, they’re still walking barefoot jumping in beds with dirty feet, acting a fool in public, complain about spending over excesive money…….in other words, they aren’t stuck up and bogey like me

Last thing I watched dealing with vampires was the movie I AM LEGEND and that was enough.

Hey hey hey…I am only commenting on this because I was one of them on the “other” side in that post. I don’t and I don’t like that on every one of our magazines every black woman featured claims to know the answer for all of “our” problems (beauty/marital status). I turn on the radio and Michael Baisden is saying “what’s wrong with our black women,” and “why are they single,” and “our older women looking better than our younger women.” To me it’s a bunch of hoopla. I tell my daughter to love herself and everything about herself even her flaws because we ALL have them and not to worry about people’s opinions. She needs to be a strong woman PERIOD! I teach her seperately about racism against blacks, feminism and equality.

Free was the bomb, she is the reason I started watching the show and to replace her with Rosci was a slap in the face. However, the viewership is still a marjority young black folks. Hmmm
Guess, if they replaced her with INDIA IRIE the show would have been cancelled a long time ago?

Stop It was rumored that Free and Stephen Hill got in to about something or either she was sleeping with him. Some ish like that.

I’m caught in the middle about all the black women uplifting saga. Reason being, I am lighter skinned (not hispanic looking) but our women are always refering black is beautiful in regards to darker skinned women. I receive the most ridicule if not all from black women. I don’t feel like I have to be “natural” to be beautiful. I don’t feel like I want to “look” white because I relax my hair or doing it because self-consciously I have a slave mentality. I don’t wear a lot of make up because I am hiding my complexion, I think makeup is beautiful, I can enhance my natural features and change up my look. We don’t buy 10 of the same outfits because we like to she a change in our appearance. Same as with make-up.

Exactly MY point, if it were just about replacing Free to get a hispanic host they could’ve kept AJ right? Shows change hosts constantly. Would you feel better had they replaced only AJ with a hispanic dude and hired another black female.

I would NEVER disregard the hatred that ANY black woman has received whether LIGHT skin or DARK. It’s apart of my heritage. What I find hard is that you find NO reasoning in my opinion understanble. You have Tyler Perry attempting to build our brand and black women knock him down constantly. His efforts are overlooked.

IF you majored in English, you did not only read about black culture you read about ALL cultures. I’m not blacker because I read books written by Sojourner Truth, Alice Walker, Zora Neale-Hurston, Jamaica Kincaid…I can go on and on and on. Our black women are forever dissing “latinas” but you don’t rep for the BLACK “latina” that make up 60% of their combined population who in fact suffer from the same hate because they are darker in complexion. Oh, and I owe that to my English degree as well.

I not even talking about weaves and perms right now…because that’s only a symptom of the deep rooted problem/disease that plagues our people. Glad you understand #nohate my maternal grandfather (R.I.P) is a White French Louisana Creole. So, by comparison I’m blacker than Wesley Snipes…which is fine by me. I’m blessed by God…but can a darkskinned sister receive the display of love that other skintones receive in MY COMMUNITY
