T.I. Unhappy With Wedding Guests; Orders Wedding Pics Taken Down
As I told you yesterday, rapper T.I. is very unhappy with invited wedding guests who tweeted unauthorized pictures to followers on Twitter.com.
As you know, T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., wed his longtime girlfriend Tameka “Tiny” Cottle on Saturday in Miami Beach.
But T.I. and Tiny’s special day was marred by thoughtless and inconsiderate guests who rushed to be the first to prove that they were there by uploading dark, blurry photos of the royal couple to the Twitter.com social network community.
T.I. lashed out at media sites, blogs, employees and friends and demanded that the the wedding pics be taken down. So far employees Young Dro and rapper Nelly have complied and removed the Twitpics. But other unauthorized pics from the wedding are still online.
It should noted that R&B diva Monica, who had earlier in the month tweeted that she would be uploading pics from the wedding, did not do so out of respect for T.I. and Tiny.
According to a source who attended the wedding, Atlantic Records sent out emails to all guests prior to the wedding forbidding them from bringing cameras or taking Twipics during the ceremony.
Additionally, months before the wedding, a Grand Hustle executive told several Atlanta based bloggers that T.I. did not want his wedding on the blogs, which is why bloggers who supported T.I. and Tiny for years, were not invited.
Atlanta celebrity photographer Robert Ector was hired to be the wedding photographer, although I’m told 3 other photographers were given clearance to shoot the wedding.
T.I. and Tiny reportedly sold the exclusive rights for the wedding photos to a national magazine for an undisclosed sum of money.

@5 Well churches shouldn’t make it so hard for people to get married in the house of God. I have friends who are turned down to get married in church for some of the silliest reasons. At least they were married by an actual pastor. God is everywhere so….

Oh and last time I checked people DO NOT have to be maaried in a “church.” Regardless of the location, your vows are still taken before GOD. Everyone does not have wedding ceremony, some are done in the court doesn’t mean that their marriage isn’t blessed.

That’s what I’m wondering. When I was searching for a church they wanted to charge out the azz for stupid things. And my husbands church said we had to have it at 2(we wanted 5), couldn’t move the plants,and had to use their clean up crew.Needless to say we went somewhere else. I was married in a church by an ordained minister but that WAS MY OWN PREFERENCE. If I had the chips to run off to Miami, Italy or wherever else I would def do it (Pastor in tow right on the water).
@ Topic… I can understand him being mad although I think he would’ve been less upset had at least one person taken a pic that didn’t look like it came from a toy camera and/or if they’d been received by the public better. My daughters Hanna Montana digital camera takes better pics than the ones I’ve seen of the wedding
@Redeemed, I get what you’re saying although I believe a wedding can still be spiritual and blessed by God even if it doesn’t take place inside a church. You can incorporate both. A couple in my church skipped the traditional church wedding and were married on a resort in Jamaica but they flew our pastor and his wife out to perform the ceremony. I don’t understand the club after party but God is everywhere. He said when two or more gather in His name so you could be married on the moon but still be in the presence of God imo

Second are they serious about a magazine buying the photos, I mean I did not know Vibe and Hip Hop Wired show weddings pics, but that’s just me hating I guess. Get over yourself Clifford. Kwall my pastor will allow others to use our church for weddings for a fee but he has final say on what goes on. If you want him to perform the service though he has a list that includes premarital counseling and he will not marry any couple that he feels is not getting married under the right pretenses or is not ready. He has explained it by saying that he does not take marriage lightly and can’t give his blessing to something that may not last which I respect because many churches overlook wrong just to avoid offending or to get paid/publicity

Some people get married for the wrong reasons and when the spotlightis more focused onthe venue and after party than it is in the meaning itself then you can expect it to break bad. I’ve seen all sorts of married and divorced couples and everybody who went to the justice of the peace (one ceremony conducted while they were dressed in work uniforms no less) and that’s the most solid relationship I see….I have also been to maillion dollar wedding that didn’t last long enought to eat the cake they froze.

The pastor that was counseling us at first felt the same way. I didn’t like him but he was the pastor of that church. He was judging us so we found another one.How are you going to tell me about marriage when your own kids keep getting divorced and marrying other women in the church???

I make sure I don’t go to church on Easter for that simple reason. I will go the Sunday before just to avoid the crowd. lol. I also believe that you don’t have to be IN the church every Sunday to know and believe in God.

I have seen a pic of them attending service. In fact I have seen two. One of them and the kids on Easter Sunday (post here on this very site) and another of them at one of their sons christening (forgot which son)…Who are we to know if these folks attend church on a regular or not? They could be partying it up on Sat. night…take two women home with them after…and get up and go to church bright and early the next day. I know plenty of folks who are less than 4 hours from being home from the club…yet they go to church each and every week. But do we know…for a FACT that they DO NOT attend church? How are we to know?
Being that Tiny Tameka comes from a musical family that sings GOSPEL MUSIC something tells me she is VERY familiar with a church. I even heard her mention attending service on her show.
I follow T.I.’s niece, Kamaya and she also said she wanted to upload a pic of Nelly and her momma Precious dancing together but she couldn’t. So if the family couldn’t post them you know darn well the guests can’t.
It’s kinda funny to think that us bloggers weren’t invited to the wedding because T.I. didn’t trust us not to Twitpic.

My Pastor in college married this couple who he knew wasn’t ready and they ended up divorcing after that he told folks who wanted him to marry them IF after marriage counseling I don’t feel u r ready I will not marry you. He told the church they cld get mad leave and find a new church but he had to do what was right so keep that in mind when askin him to marry you.

I feel what you are saying. But IMO, like I was saying yesterday, I didn’t understand what the big deal was about the club thing. I’ve gone to late weddings (6pm) beautiful and well put together, get to the recption hall at around 8-9pm…get a few drinks in our systems and we were doo-doo browning in our nice dresses, you got a best man in the corner sandwiched by two bridesmaids dancing(raunchy) so what’s the difference? They live a different lifestyle which is also their career and their after-party/reception reflected that.

Now…AK and SWISS, not sure what blessings they were covering by hiring the the dalai lama…..I will say this: The media has reported that they have placed their union under a few types of religions….not one of them have been reported to be christian based however.

@Crza I feel you and there is a long list of people in my church that my pastor refused to marry including myself. Looking back I wish I’d listened to him because he was right in my case and many others. It feels like judging but a lot of people want to get married for the wrong reasons imo. I mean women begin planning their dream wedding as children and get so caught in the moment that they will miss key red flags just to get that day. I mean you can spend months planning one day yet you can’t spend a few hours each month getting counseling that will help you make it the rest of your life? I will say that you can’t blame a pastor for how his children or family behaves because they can’t control their adult children anymore than any of us can control ours. You can raise your children with the best examples and the best morals and a blueprint for life but if they choose to stray that’s their choice. I do take issue with pastors and leaders who brush over and try to hide their childrens misdoings while judging and condeming others making the same mistakes. My pastor will call out anyone his family included for doing wrong but having their butt in church acting Holy Sunday morning. Idk how many people have been pulled from various boards, the choir, different ministries and what not for living a life contradictory to Gods word. I respect him because of it though

) But going to the strip club after your wedding??? I think there’s a big difference…IMO….but if they like it..well good for them…I just personally would not be in a strip club after I got married…that’s what bachelor parties are for.

I understand what you’re saying. I didn’t like his pastor from the getgo though. I didn’t believe in his teachings and once we did the two sessions, it seemed like he was on my husband’s side.Plus that church was a fashion show. Which made me see why I hadn’t been to an ALL black church in years. We ended up going to another pastor for counseling that was neutral even though they are frat brothers. He was very candid which we needed.

That’s not a strip club either. The only strip club we have on the beach is Madonna’s and they are topless dancers and no alcohol is served. A lot of our clubs have go-go dancers. Our strip clubs are: The Lexx, Coco’s, Foxy Lady, Pink Pussycat, Solid Gold, Tootsie’s(hot spot 2), King of Diamonds (hot spot 1), the Cheetah, Booby Trap to name a few

Most people party hard at the reception, that’s the point of the reception, and then that’s it, few throw their wedding party + guests on a bus and hit a local club in see through dresses
but again that’s how their relationship appears to be which wouldn’t work for me but it seems to work for them I guess.

@ Les………. I should’ve gotten mine done one at a time too. I went to someone else after they didn’t heal in like a few months and soon as girly saw them, she told me they were pierced in wrong spot.
Otb, yes I have had somebody do that lol but I’m not typing up and putting it out there. I’m not a prude, hell I have 4 kids, one of its way now, so yes I get mine. A lot. But there are blogs out there focused on sex, this one isn’t but it turned into one which is cool when it happens but real irksome everyday.
