Pregnant songstress Mariah Carey is bored waiting for her twins to be delivered so she can exploit them to the world. So she painted a butterfly on her swollen tummy and tweeted the pic to her 4 million followers. That was after she tweeted about her false contractions and dramatically rushed herself to the hospital only to be sent back home yesterday.

I fear for these babies when they are finally born.

I think it’s really cute that she is sharing baby bump pics. Only a person that hasn’t experienced pregnancy would see this as attention whoring. It’s a very proud time for some women and they love to share their experience with other’s. I for one enjoyed when people showed interest in what was brewing in my belly.I’m sure her lambs as she calls them were thrilled to see this pic.

She is excited, just like any other mother. Especially a new one! Plus, this woman has all this dough and nothing but time! My sister-in-law went back to the hospital 50-11 times before my neice was born a couple of weeks ago. They kept sending her back home, only to induce her labor days later.

I think it seems so long becuse we were seeing so many pics of her ion and out of medical offices for so long. Plus all of the she’s pregnant rumors have flown around for so long. i’m glad to see they are still cooking. Twins are premies alot of the time (I believe)

I’m excited too. People gave Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony guff when they got married/Pregnant same as Nick and Mariah. I’m just glad they are being born to a family (mom and dad) who can afford to care form them. At least shes having kids she can care for or pay someone to help her care for. I know pleanty of babies being born to parents who won’t even care for them

it’s a shame she is getting the shade from Auntie. She’s a new mom. With my first I didn’t know what was what. I went to the ER after I had contractions 5 mins apart and bleeding. they kept me from midnight to 4 am and sent me home saying I had a bladder infection. all the while I was in active labor. after taking a perscription they gave me and suffering 6 more hours I went back and was crowning! She was out in 5 mins!

I went to the hospital just because I wanted extra sonograms to see the baby.. I would make up stuff until they started to turn me away telling me the radiation wasnt good for the baby.. This was my second child

When I was pregnant with my twins ( I went the entire 9 months, took forever)my sister drew pictures on my belly too. I think it’s cute, because being big from early on in your pregnancy can make not seeing your feet or snatch an eternity.

I agree, I had at least 10+ ultra sounds… (I was high risk) so they watched my bun until she was far enough along… ultrasounds rock cause its cool seeing babies grow inside…

All I know is she didn’t paint her own tummy hell I couldn’t even see my lower body let alone write on my stomach.

Hell naw she didnt paint it..that would be physically impossible. It was painted in jest. Bish said it was done to be festive..how is that childish..When I was preggo I would put my daughters ballerina slippers on top of my belly and watch her kick them off..I was amused as I dont know what but I guess singing, reading, drawing, rubbing and playfully painting on your belly is childish… Who knew I was being immature…shame shame on me

I think it seems long because she miscarried the first time and got pregnant again shortly after. I didn’t think she would ever compromise her figure either but babies are the new accessory in Hollywood. These broads are even going to the same fertility doctor now. Thats why they are all having twins (Mariah, JLO, Angelina, Kim Porter, etc.). This will fade out too just like the handbag puppy phase a few years ago.

I am sorry for those of you who cannot bear children or may not even have the desire…BUT for the real moms with moms intuition you want to share that joy and love…I myself was back and forth to the DR. with what I thought was real contractions but silly me it was only Braxton Hicks now again mind you this was my first and only pregnancy IDC wth people told me it did not prepare to expect the unexpected I went to the dr when I felt necessary not about what someone thought the pain should or should not feel like and BTW I had a midwife which is very similar to how they gave birth years and years ago too.

What you eat and drink, is the samething the baby is eating and drinking. Everything that goes in your mouth, goes into the baby. I try to keep that in mind, but it can be hard at times. A lot of times you be like just one sip won’t hurt.

Auntie I don’t think peeps are spewing hatred towards you. It’s just hard for a woman to take the word of or advice from one who hasn’t had children as law when she has given birth. I feel like growing and giving birth to healthy babies was one of my proudest moments. It was also one of the best feelings in the world to know you are carrying life. I just googled it… Something called Pica is connected to the starch, but the flour I guess is something different?

Ran across a long article from a DR saying she/he had a patient that consumed 2lbs of flour a day and ate little else. Said it would make her stomach cramp up at times and then she/he said the following:

“Is she in danger from eating flour? Of course not…it’s flour. Maybe it could cause a doughy bowel obstruction if she didn’t drink enough water, or perhaps some vitamin/mineral deficiencies in the long-term, but it wasn’t really an emergency.”

Auntie i’m not saying you don’t understand the dynamics of childbirth i’m just saying that a book or video can’t compare to the actual thing. i’ve given birth twice and they were both completely different. My husband was with me everyday and he thought i was being over dramatic about the backaches and not being able to breathe properly etc until the nurse had to jump up on the bed to help my 4’11 self push out a nearly 9lb baby! Hearing comments from people who havn’t had kids is like someone telling you bungee jumping is a blast but they have never done it

Mine too. And not by choice. Cause my momma sat up and made me dayum wait all night tambout first time babies NEVER come on they due date…and I got indigestion and to go back to bed. Her boyfriend came home (he worked 3rd shift) and fussed her OUT behind that mess. “Got that DAYUM girl in here hurting all night!”

By the time I got to the hospital I was too far dialated for pain meds. I WAS HOT.

I’ve heard of that. The lady that braids my hair has headaches and back pain. They said she needs a spinal plug cuz she is leaking fluid that is why she has headaches bad… crazy.

I chose to go meds free. iknow it sounds crazy to women who have felt that pain but i felt like it was part of the experience and i wanted my whole experience. i have a pretty high pain threshold also. with my first i wanted them but was too late since i was sent home and told i had a bladder infection. when i went back she was crowning. 2 pushes and she was out

I did not want no edpidural. But ish. Gimme some Demerol…something!

Second baby I had them GOOD drugs. Something they was putting in my IV but could only do it 3 times so just know when to ask for it. Prior to them offering me that I had cussed out my momma, a nurse, and my husband.

And second baby I made then take her lil self right on down to the nursery. Come wheeling her into my room…”Nurse…you can take her back down there with the other babies. I’ll see her when I get to the house. THANKS.” Husband looked at me all mean…I tole him “walk your azz down there to see her if you want to see her!” Get your rest when you at the hospital was a lesson I learned first baby.

@yall…I had a spinal fusion (might be the same as spinal tap I need to look it up) but I’ve had two epidurals. It took long as hell but I was able to get them and it worked wonders.

I brought my son home in a 3mth ralph lauren jumper and he looked like an ice skater it was so tight! my husband loved it casue he was easier to handle being so big. my daughter was only 5lb 7oz and i had to get cut and stitched with her as well. I guess that was because i was still basically a virign. no wear,tear or looseness

I decided early no meds so i just concentrated on the contractions and my breathing and i handled them really well…as long as my husband kept quite. anyone else talking was fine but when he spoke it was like it broke my concentration and made them worse. i even forbade him from encouraging me lol. just hold my hand and hush!

While in labor with my son, I was laying my head all on his father and holding his hand soon as one of those bad contractions hit, it was, GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME DAMNIT! DON’T TOUCH ME! DON’T TOUCH ME! Soon as it went away I was i’m sorry, I didn’t mean it. After a while, he was like, make up yo mind.

That is true. I plan on going natural. I don’t handle drugs well and don’t want all the side effects that come with them. I do have a high tolerance for pain compared to most, I just hope the labor doesn’t drag on too long. (which it probably will). I’m not not worried about her birth weight, I know it doesn’t mean anything but based on how small I’m carrying I don’t think she’s going to weight all that much, but based on both of our heights and how she be stretching out in my belly, I do think she’s going to be hella long.

@Terri, that’s good, BUT have a back up plan. (such as telling your Dr. beforehand that if necessary you would like meds, because if you don’t receive them within a certain “window” time period, you’re pretty much on your own.

@Terri B do it natural at least once if you can handle it. i regret not getting a mirror and watching my birth with either baby. i also regret not breastfeeding my son-my girl wouldn’t take the breast- because at the time i thought i would have another. now i feel like i have missed out since i have no plans to have another baby. i almost want to do it again just for those reasons. but i’m too close to freedom now lol

Yeah Mrs., I’m going to try my hardest to suck it up and toughen it out, I really don’t want any drugs as crazy as it sound. The littlest dose of anything will have me feeling knocked out and I want to be fully alert.

My doctor, who is a 6′ 2 woman, said her experience with tall women is that they usually have an easier labor for some reason. Like the journey for the baby is easier.

OMG…same here. I had an allergic reaction to something and I couldnt stop scratching my arm…so they gave me bendadryl and it was a wrap. I think I BF for a day or two. With my 2nd child I didnt even attempt

In hindsight I wish I had because it definitely helps to get the weight off quickly.

Luckily I didn’t get sick. Shoot CHA, I was up & out of there in 1 day! Thanksgiving Day was the next day & they were like if you can be up walking around and coughing (that’s what the told me to do) then you can go home in the morning.
