Yesterday I told you that singer/songwriter Ne-Yo and his baby mama are expecting their 2nd child. In my post, I mentioned that Ne-Yo was “duped” into believing a boy born in 2005 was his. That statement sparked a series of emails sent from anonymous email accounts in defense of the boy’s mother, Jessica.

Well, Jessica, who goes by the professional name Phoenix White, has responded via email and her personal Twitter account, Phoenixontwit.

According to her Twitter bio, the gorgeous single mom dotes on her adorable 6-year-old son, and runs her business empire, which includes her own hair collection, in addition to juggling recording, acting and modeling careers.

I don’t know about you kids, but I’m impressed!

Hi Sandra,
I was just sent a link to your site. I just wanted to clarify that I did not send you emails with the statement attached. I am an adult, and if I want to promote myself, I do it the right way. I don’t need to be attached to Ne-Yo or whatever is going on with him. He knows that I wish him well and congrats to him and his child. As this only breeds ridicule, and unfair judgement by people who don’t know either of us. But I refrained from speaking on this years ago, on purpose to protect my child. And that is important to me. Again, with all do respect, I do not have control over others peoples response to what you place on your blog as it relates to me. I am however in control of how I respond to your assumption, that any emails about this situation are from me, my staff, or close friends, as they know that I am passionate about protecting my son. I appreciate whomever is trying to defend me, but I don’t condone someone responding on my behalf on such a delicate & personal matter. As I know I have no control over what you and other mediums may post. I would appreciate in all fairness that you include my response to your readers, as I know you have a right to choose not to take it down. As I am doing positive things in my life, and this is not a part of my character.

Thanks
