Video: Stefano Langone Sings “I Need You Now” on AI
Moments after American Idol contestant performed Smokie Norful’s mournful plea, “I Need You Now”, Smokie’s name began trending on the popular social networking website Twitter.com. Until last night, many young people had never heard of Smokie or his most popular 2002 hit. Langone’s rendition of the song stirred emotions in the hearts of young people who testified their desire to find Jesus in these, their darkest days.

I’m coming out of lurk mode to say that I was moved to tears while watching and hearing this young man perform!
I was just waiting for the spirit of the Lord to fall down on someone because HE DID THAT!!!
Need you Now has always been my fav. I always tear up when I listen to it. He sung it as a true child of God in need of his Savior Jesus. Jesus is real! I love him. All of Smokie’s songs are blessed. Please also listen to Smokie’s album, “Life Changing.” The entire album will have you worshipping. Especially the track “Um Good.”
