In what is being called the biggest news since September 11, and a turning point in the global war on terrorism, U.S. President Barack Obama announced that the 9/11 mastermind, Osama Bin Laden, is dead.
According to multiple news organizations, the United States has the dead body of Osama Bin Laden in its custody. CNN reports that the U.S. had a sample of Bin Laden’s DNA on ice for just this pivotal moment in history.
Some reporters knew about this critical development all day, but media organizations kept the news under wraps until the body was positively identified.
Obama requested network air time for the 10 p.m. hour on Sunday night to make the stunning announcement. Coincidentally, that time fell during the broadcast of Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC. The network interrupted its programming just as Trump was deciding who to fire.
Two American presidents before Obama had tried and failed to capture and/or kill Bin Laden. It was 8 years ago today that president George Bush declared the Iraq war “mission accomplished.”
But 4,000 U.S. fatalities later in Iraq, Bin Laden still eluded capture — until today.
American forces are expected to release a picture of Osama Bin Laden’s dead body so that the Arab world has no doubt that the leader of Al Qaeda is dead.

You have to look at things in perspective. That city was devastated. It buried over 2600 of its fellow citizens. Regardless of what your opions may be Osama was without a doubt responsible for the deaths of many americans ( men, women, children). We are not dragging his dead body down the street or holding his severed head for the world to see. We are celebrating this man’s death b/c of what he has done to US as Americans…They took pics and DNA samples that i am sure to be released, and why would they bury him???? So the grave can become a shrine?? He is at the bottom of the ocean which is where he belongs. God Bless all of his victims and their families. and may Osama rot in hell ……

Why not keep the body and have family identify it?
The body will never be seen unless the release the photo. However that does not mean he wasnt killed. We seen Saddam’s pic b/c he was still alive, it is Muslim Tradion to be buried within 24 hours, you notice no Islamic country is saying anything about us burying him at sea but you can damn well believe they would be bytchin about it they didnt. People will always have theory’s/conspiracies just like the whole damn birth certificate people.

I completely understand the sentiment but the idea of celebrating the death of another human being however evil is an issue for me. It just doesn’t seem okay. Especially when you think about the retailiation that is sure to come. I may feel different if I were from new York or had loved ones killed because of Osama. It just doesn’t feel right in my right.
Another issue I have is that I am really starting to wonder if this news is true. I think it odd that first its reported that he was shot in the face/head which would make it hard to identify him and then his body is dumped in the ocean 24 hours later. I would really need to see these pictures. I”m not sure if I would even believe it then.
I do like Obama and I plan to vote for him again but this news just seems extremely convienent to me.

Didn’t someone inside Al Qaeda confirm that it was him and that they are going to avenge his death?
I’m not one to believe everything the media puts out but I also don’t think that everything is a conspiracy either. Anybody can throw a conspiracy claim around without proof or with made up and exaggerated facts.

Not a problem, its just sad that everone wants to twist the story the our government is constantly lieing to us. We do not have to know every little detail. There will be proof he is dead give it time. Al-Jazeera the same news company that Osama has personally released video through are also confirming he is dead. Why would they lie? Are they part of the cover up? Some pople just like to reach and cast doubt…

Ok but I’m trying to tell you that if this was on the “up and up” so to speak, they would not have buried him anywhere. We have not worried about Islamic law at any point up until now so why would we with a wanted international criminal who is specifically wanted for murder? We just murdered some innocent children this weekend too. You really think they care about honoring anything?
