Lil Wayne’s Dancers Charged With Beating Up Waitress
Two of rapper Lil Wayne’s ghetto dancers were arrested and charged with assaulting a waitress during a dispute over splitting a check at a P.F. Chang’s resturant.
Della Hamby, 26, (top) of North Hollywood, Calif., and Jennifer Slaughter, 24, of Auburn Hills, Mich., were charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.
According to the Hartford Courant, Hamby, Slaughter, and another woman who was not charged attacked the waitress because she advised them that they should have asked to be allowed to split the check at the beginning of the meal and not at the end.
The women paid and left, but they later returned to retrieve a cell phone that one had left behind. They swore at the waitress and threatened her. Then, witnesses told police, one pulled the waitress’s hair while the other punched her. They threw the waitress to the floor and continued punching her, police said.
The third patron did not participate in the beating, police said. The waitress sustained minor injuries. A worker at the restaurant said Monday that she was OK.
Police found the suspects across New Britain Avenue from the mall, in front of the Old Navy store.
A spokeswoman for P.F. Chang’s said she could not comment on the incident because “this is an active investigation.” West Hartford police said Monday their investigation into the incident was closed with the arrests of Slaughter and Hamby.

Prior to the beat down the waitress was totally out of line. I would have complained to the manager and gotten my meal for free. How dare she tell a customer that she wants a tip from what they shoulda done. Of course that doesn’t justify hitting her and I’m sure some lawyer will come up with a way for Wayne to be sued for this.

Hello everyone… by dancers do they mean the ones he throws stacks of ones at? I don’t see any professionals engaging in this type of behavior…. I mean, if the waitress put some stank on her voice then yeah, she was wrong but I can see her mentioningit for future reference or they prolly got greasy with her whensheonly dropped one…. Went to Forest Village Mall right outside SE DC the other day and many of our young people are off the chain. I met him while I was working (bartener) he came in a couple times and I was flirty enough to get good tip money out of him but that was it…and one day he finally convinced me to give him my number.. he called random times all day and we were supposed to eat after practice but he never really set a time so I kept on with my day business as usual. By the time he called, I was busy with my broher, we’d just left his practice that I go to and run drills/coach’s helper in lieu of a workout some days… He said no problem since he was in after practice sweats come meet him at Chang’s…. yeah then he proceeded to inform me how lucky I was that he called, and did I know how many women wanted to be on a date with him and which stripper do I engage in threesomes with and just a general arse…. I hadn’t
, my patience was short and I laughed a couple of them off thinking we were just playing but when this fool told me I need to quit my little bartending job and be a dancer, I lost it… Informed him of the degrees, six figure savings, house DEEDs and not mortgages… pulled a few hundreds outta my bag threw it in his face (NOT on the table) picked up the lettuce wraps and had the hostess box them up while the valet pulled my car around…
