A Hoboken, NJ woman who was injured during the wild bottle throwing melee at WiP Nightclub plans to sue for injuries she says she suffered.
According to the NY Daily News, Lucy Pavlovsky, 24, suffered two cuts — one each on her arm and hand — during the Thursday morning brawl. Her injuries required 12 stitches to close.
“My plan is to sue anybody who threw a bottle, anybody who created that dangerous atmosphere,” Pavlovsky’s lawyer, Javier Solano, said Sunday.
Pavlovsky, a financial planner for Macy’s, told the NY Daily News she was sitting at rapper Fabolous’ table in the club’s VIP section when all hell broke loose.
As predicted, cops shut down W.i.P. nightclub and the upstairs venue, Greenhouse, for up to 235 days due to past incidents of violence and drug violations.
The club’s manager was locked up last week for repeated violations of city policy regarding excessive noise.
There are also unconfirmed rumors that the club’s insurance policies will be cancelled.
NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said the owners agreed in March 2011 to shuttering the clubs indefinitely “if additional assaults and other violations of the agreement occurred.”
Pavlovsky was among eight people injured during the brawl that was reportedly sparked by Drake’s people who thought Chris Brown’s entourage disrespected them. Drake reportedly threw a bottle in the general direction of Brown’s head, according to a music industry executive who witnessed the fracas.
Lawsuits could cost Drake, Chris Brown and the club owners millions of dollars. Both Drake and Brown are denying involvement in the altercation.
NYPD are also investigating whether Crips or Bloods gang members were among Brown’s entourage.
Brown, 23, was ordered to stay away from known gang members as a part of his probation agreement stemming from domestic abuse charges when he assaulted ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
