Usher pulls out of ESPY Awards
Singer Usher Raymond is so distraught over his ex-stepson Kile Glover’s critical injury that he has pulled out as a presenter at tonight’s ESPY awards, the NY Post is reporting. Kile is the son of Usher’s ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, and local businessman Ryan Glover.
Kile, 11, was critically injured when he was hit by a speeding Jet Ski during an outing on Lake Lanier last weekend. Kile, and a 15-year-old female companion who was also injured, were airlifted to Egleston Children’s hospital in Atlanta Friday.
Gossip website TMZ.com, citing unnamed sources, reported that doctors declared Kile brain dead on Sunday.
The Glover family released a statement to CNN on Tuesday asking for prayers and privacy. Usher was scheduled to appear on the sports awards show which airs at 9 p.m. on ESPN. Rob Riggle is hosting the 20th anniversary ESPYs celebration at the Nokia Theatre in LA.

Im glad he isnt one of those dudes that walk away from a marriage and dont care how the kids involved feel. SOme people dont realize when you get with someone that has kids you are just as much a part of their life as you are their parents.

This situation can shed light upon his childish actions and he can use it to as a light and stop being an AZZ in this whole situation. This can help Usher’s mental status and perhaps allow him to learn about showing compassion and having decency.
I just think what he has shown in handling his divorce is that Usher has Bytch tendencies.

imo, the divorce and custody battle brought out the worst in both Usher and Tameka. I do hope this gives them a new perspective though.

I was getting ready to type the same thing. I know he still loves her. Look at how hard they fight, you always fight harder w/the one you love. The media broke them up. I would not be surprised if they were secretly dating. I would not be surprised if Ush says forget my fans, I’m putting my family back together. His kids w/Tamkea are still young. I like Tameka, it was her attitude that needed adjusting.
Very tragic….still lifting this family up in prayer (for both Usher’s stepson and well as the other young lady). Just an all around sad situation.
