Vivica A. Fox explains what she’s looking for in a man
Actress Vivica A. Fox is still looking for a man one year after her very public breakup from Atlanta club promoter Omar “Slimm” White, whom she dated for a little over 2 years.
Fox tells Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover that she’s not opposed to taking applications from single men. But she said her ideal man has to have a job. “I am very happily single,” says Fox, who put extra emphasis on the “very happily” part.
I’m gonna wait for Mr. Right to come along, and take my time this time. I’m enjoying having a little bit of just me time,” said Fox, who has a preference for younger, virile hunky studs.
We wish Vivica well with her man search. At 48-years-old she’s a little bit over the hill, and the competition for heterosexual men is fierce — especially in Atlanta.

^^I think her problem is she is too aware…Viv does things to make sure her face doesnt wrinkle,,,The half smile,,,SHe doesnt want the lines to show, she doesnt want her nose to spread,,,Old Hollywood trick…It makes her look plastic,,,However when shes in character…She looks fine,,,Hear me out now,,,Seent a movie not too long ago,,,Junk Yard Dog,,,a ‘gory’ B movie, but I actually like low budget slasher flicks,,,Anyway,,,It was watchable,,,And mainly because Viv looked beautiful,,,Short hair style that didnt swallow her facial features,,,Shes an FBI agent,,,Serious role,,,Looking for a missing girl,,,No smiling,,,So she looked like normal old Viv,,,Its when shes trying to look cute without looking her age that it becomes a problem IMO…

Yes! They have to remain in the State, City, county whatever exactly 1 yr before they can move. Then when they move, if they dont have a job, they get zero rent, foodstamps, welfare and if they are signed up for welfare they get a utility check for their small light and water bill. They wont pay their cable and phone bill though…Oh and give free child care…You didnt Know

I thought if you did not have a job or not make enough money from your job that you get these programs.
I know around my area they do not allow section 8 people to live here. They amended all the rules on people renting out their properties not to allow section 8. And there is like 1 woman and her family they have been trying to evict for months but the case keeps going in and out of court… it is sad tho.

Sure…if youre low income youre low income…the thing with section 8 is that you dont have to be at a certain poverty level like food stamps and medicaid. These are all still separate programs that your income qualifies you for separately…you may fill out for food stamps and medicaid/medicare for instance…but HUD would be housed/applied for elsewhere.
LIHEAP is a program that sometimes come along with housing benefits. You would get what they call a reimbursement check for utilities. Again it goes by the numbers.
They are lucky to get their rent paid for and can live in a nice house for free.

I have a cousin here in Florida that after applying for Food stamps did not get it because they said her income is too high… which she is not working anymore and her rent is ridiculous, although, thankfully she gets a good amount of child support and have a little savings to cover it but she can’t get food stamps even though her living expenses are high. Its sad… I told her to move but she says she does not want to mess up her credit. Any ideas on what she can do to help?

Yes here the housing is seperate from the benefits. To be qualified for the section 8 housing you have to have some type of income at first. Maybe a little 8 hr job working a few hours a week with a lot of kids. They way they will go by your income vs how many children you have to care for. They cant have a bad criminal record (and anyone on the lease cant either)If you dont have a job, they will put them in the housing projects and put their name on a waiting list for the section 8. Once the females move in they base their rent on the wages which they could be paying as low as $50 for a 5 bedroom, 3 bath new apartment or a nice ass home. I see it alllll the time!

OTB yes not in my development they are not allowing them anymore. At one of the meetings, it was discussed and a few of us did not mind but majority were against renting out to people on section 8. They did not even know she was on section 8 until one of those darn neighborhood watch board member folks caught up to her to sign a violation paper because she left her garbage can in the front of the house in which you can’t do in my neighborhood and she told them, but probably after some questioning which I found to be rude.
I don’t mind people on section 8 or food stamps. I know it is not easy for some people and I don’t expect things to get better for some either although I would want it to.
What kills me are the ones who toot their arses up and nose down on you like they are the ish (some of my aunts)and you are less than.
Like, bish I will be balling out of control too if my rent was $7 dollars.

See Hony thats the perfect example of someone who has a need and is not being helped even though she has done her due, paid her taxes, been socially responsible (felons usually cant get more than foodstamps)..
My advice, which sucks, would be to just wait it out and reapply when her income on paper will show that she cant make ends meet. Oh, and tell her stop telling them about her savings.

Oh no Keesheeerrr…. My bonus baby is a possible relative of mine but I am not sure. WEll I have had her since she was almost 5 weeks old and now she is 3 1/2. Her birth mother have not willingly given her up and I have been fighting for rights for the last 2 yrs and finally I am making a head way and she has compassion in her heart and want to ask me to do favors for her which I am trying to figure out what is best for my baby and will benefit her as she gets older.
O my Hony. Thats a hard one….I get choked up about stuff like this. Is she willing to give you full custody now or has she promised she would?
I mean whos to say if she you do that she would start catching feeling for her own child which is understandable being a mother. I would only do it, if she agrees to never pursue me the custody of the child. The flip side you must understand that your baby will grow up and start having feeling of her/his own and would probably want to go live with them at one point ( you know how teenagers get). This is a hard one!
