Tocarra Caught Wearing Fake Louis Vuitton Handbag?
If you recall, Sandrarose.com broke the exclusive about Louis Vuitton going after pop singer Justin Bieber for devaluing the LV brand with his counterfeit Louis Vuitton jacket.
Over the weekend, my Louis Vuitton source pointed out another celebrity who may have been wearing a cheap Louis Vuitton knock off during Grammy weekend. According to him, the bag that America’s Next Top Model contestant Tocarra is seen carrying in the photo above is a cheap knockoff of the LV Sunshine Express North-South handbag which retails for $5,050.
“The quality of the leather and the hardware are cheap,” said my LV source, who also pointed out the missing “Louis Vuitton” which is supposed to be embossed on the leather below the handles.
The Monogram Sunshine Express collection is hand-crafted from the finest wool with the iconic LV logo painstakingly embroidered into the wool using sequins. The North-South handbags are available in 3 sizes: baby, speedy and travel-size; and they come in 3 colors: mustard, purple and burgundy.
Lady Gaga is seen below wearing an authentic Louis Vuitton travel-size North-South handbag.
I’m going to give Tocarra the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she didn’t know that the bag she was carrying was a cheap imitation? Maybe her “stylist” gave her the bag on loan?
As I told you in this post, Louis Vuitton is aggressively pursuing anyone (not just celebrities) who infringe on their high end brand.
