Two explosions rocked the Boston Marathon today, leaving many spectators injured.
CNN reports the bombs exploded near the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street as thousands of people gathered to view the annual race.
“I was turning the corner. I was near the Hynes (Convention) Center. I saw two explosions. I just turned around and ran. It was a fireball — a huge fireball,” one runner told CNN. A viewer uploaded the above photo to Twitter.com. The photo shows a fireball and a plume of smoke just after one of the bombs exploded.
4 injured victims have been taken to a Boston area hospital. CNN reports store fronts blown out and many injured, including a Boston police officer.
Witnesses said victims were lying in the street with missing limbs. A few victims reported hearing loss from the explosions.
NewsCenter 5’s Sean Kelly told CNN the impact of the explosions could be felt blocks away. The area is being evacuated.

As an avid runner I know all too well how easy it would be for someone to plant a deadly device on the course.
While there’s security, no one is on guard for such assults. At most, the police are ensuring that cars do not breach the area secured for the runners, and ensuring the runners don’t injure themselves. I can only imagine what this will mean for future races.

I have a lot of friends who ran 10K here in Richmond this past weekend. I know this has them all shook up.
Whoever did that planted it to go off at a time when most of the people would be crossing the finish line. Most runners run at 6mph. Which would put them somewhere between 4hrs and 4hrs and 30 mins. This went off at 4hrs 9 mins…

Apparently 2 other bombs were disarmed.
A friend informed me that one was found in the Mandarin Hotel.

Any thing from ammonia to fertilizer can be used to make a bomb. It really does not take more than a visit to Lowes or Home Depot to get the stuff needed to do major damage.
Timothy McVeigh built his bomb with $750 worth of materials and killed 168 people, injured hundreds, and did hundreds of millions of dollars in damage.
Obviously, all it takes is a little research, a lot of crazy and anger, and opportunity.

@Redeemed When you choose to use religion as a weapon, or to be hateful, it’s not a good thing. God is here to have us love one another, as He loves us. Your forever on here telling us how others hate us, and how bad of a people we are and all of that. Where is the love that YOUR God has? Why can’t you display that? Because really, it all just looks hateful. And that’s not what the Bible is about.

Don’t get me wrong. I definitely agree that she’s a liar and a con artist. I’m not, like, a fan of hers or anything. She was pretty much a non factor on the show. I just think she probably can throw them hands. She just look likes the type that stays scrappin.

There is a term in the Bible that describes white or fair skin people. It was NEVER used to describe Easu. I know black people with red hair. And just because a white person said they are Easu does not make it so. They said Jesus was a white man, and we all know that’s false.
