Remember when R&B singer Miguel did a WWE ‘flying squirrel’ take down of a young fan during his performance at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards?
Well, he may have to pay a pretty penny to the injured fan now that the lawyers are involved.
Khyati Shah was standing at the front of the stage when Miguel leaped into the air and crash landed on her head, slamming her face forcefully into the stage.
Though she appeared unfazed afterwards — and even got the chance to meet Miguel — her lawyer, Vip Bhola, tells E! News that his client was “in shock” and “star struck,” and now she feels the pain from her worsening condition.
Bhola told E! News that Shah is being examined by doctors, and he isn’t sure when he will file the lawsuit. “We will determine that after we have feedback from medical providers,” he said.
During an on-camera interview with Shah after the mishap, Miguel called her his “new friend,” and promised he would make it up to her.
Later he tweeted, “got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay.” The tweet was deleted the next day.
