Lee Thompson Young

Lee Thompson Young, star of Disney Channel’s “The Famous Jett Jackson”, has committed suicide, Los Angeles Police Department confirms to People.com. He was 29.

Young’s longtime manager, Jonathan Baruch, released a statement to People:

“It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning. Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed. We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends as this very difficult time.”

TMZ reports that Young’s body was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Those are called their “handlers” A lot of “handlers” are pedophiles or sick ppl who prey on children. That’s why these wholesome kids that be on Disney and Nick, when they get old enough they are forced to push an oversexualized agenda. BCinKS said it best…..the brain is a strange place. A previous poster stated that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. While I believe this wholeheartedly, my ability to cope in addition to how I cope aid me in holding fast to said belief. For some people, their brain processes daily life/situations in such a manner that they see the situation as “it’s never going to get better” or “what’s the point of going on?” They have gotten so low, so encumbered with the weight of their problems that they believe (or their brains tell them) that nothing can be done.

Regarding Jenie’s post about having to back up from her friend to collect herself:

A rose commented that in those times a friend can prove helpful. While this is sometimes true, some people are able to process things on their own, or they need to sort through their thoughts before letting someone in. I can appreciate Jenie’s comment because I am that way. If I’m going through something, I need to work my way through it, or just take a moment and appreciate the struggle. I need to understand by myself what God is tryna tell me via through said adversity. Then, once I’ve collected myself, I will open up to someone.

I dunno if Auntie Sandrita allows for the number to be posted regarding suicide prevention, but Auntie could you please do a/another medical minute on suicide/depression with a phone number/website that people can utilize? @MUNCHOSGIRL …. well said. I’ve never heard voices but suffer from severe depression. Even with medication, sometimes it can creep up on me and I quickly call my therapist. It can be very debilitating. In dealing with depression, I wouldn’t wish my darkest moment on anyone… and shopping or chillin’ doesn’t make it go away. You don’t have to be stressed out to be depressed…but God help you if you are stressed and dealing with depression. It has nothing to do with your occupation. Clinical depression is a disease like cancer…and it can be just as deadly.
