Producer Mona Scott-Young is desperate to save her flagship reality TV series Love & Hip Hop NY. According to reports, she signed former child rapper Chi Ali Griffith, left, to be featured on the show. It remains to be seen who she will team him up as a fake boyfriend. He is already making public appearances with LHHNY star Peter Gunz, right.
Chi’s violent criminal history makes him the perfect fit for a flop reality show. After leaving the rap scene, he served a 12-year prison sentence at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in NY for shooting and killing a Bronx man in 2000.
Chi Ali burst onto the rap scene 1991 at age 14 with a feature on “Pass the 40,” off Black Sheep’s debut album A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing. Chi then released his debut album, The Fabulous Chi-Ali, featuring the very grown up single “Age Ain’t Nothing But a #“.
