Rap mogul Chris “Ludacris” Bridges has won primary physical custody of his baby daughter. A Fulton County judge today granted Mr. Bridges primary custody of 1-year-old Cai Bridges. The baby’s mother, Tamika Fuller, was granted visitation.
Ludacris released the following statement to Sandrarose.com through his attorney, Tanya Mitchell Graham:

After review of all the evidence, the testimony of the witnesses, the report of the guardian ad litem, and the claims made throughout this entire case, I am gratified that the judge found me to be the most fit and proper parent to have primary physical custody of our beautiful daughter.

FuturedocDonte, I do think that men have as much right to the child as the mother, regardless of situation, but I think that this case is different than what you are speaking about. Luda has not shown any interest in this child (as far as we know) until he was exposed. If he was so into this child, why wait for the mother to introduce the child to the public’c eyes? Heck, why didn’t he have amicable discussions with the mother about what is best for the baby and come to an agreement about what is best for the baby until the judge says otherwise? this just rubs me the wrong way

Women are by nature more nurturing and emotional than men. We are conditioned by nature to love and nurture our children. We conceive the child in OUR womb, nourishing the growing baby through OUR mouth, birth the baby through OUR vagina or via C-Section which is MAJOR surgery on OUR body. Bottom line, the baby is a physical party of the mother and the mother loves and nurtures her child. Men can be nurturing and emotional, but there is nothing like a mother’s love.

I guess because I was raised by a single dad, I see this different. Again, courts rarely take children from their mothers. Usually need a psychiatrist to co-sign on that.
