Most pregnant women don’t have the financial resources of reality TV star Kandi Burruss. Baby registries were intended for people who can’t afford to repurchase all of the necessities their babies, not to stroke the egos of self-centered celebrities.

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker have not one, but two baby registries — at Babies ‘R’ Us and Amazon.

“Thank you friends & Fam for thinking of Baby Tucker!,” Kandi and Todd wrote on their Amazon.con registry. “All gifts are appreciated. Hope to see you soon at the baby shower! Love, Todd & Kandi.”

None of you are invited to her baby shower, but she fully expects you to spend your hard earned cash buying gifts for her son.

Gifts on Kandi’s Amazon wish list include $2,000 gift cards; $200 for something called a Mamaroo; a $160 swing; and a pricey Graco high chair.

Her Toys ‘R Us wish list is even more impractical. She wants you to spend $380 on an electric double breast pump; $300 on a Motorola Video Baby Monitor with WiFi Capability; and $200 on another high chair.

If I was rich the I’d either have a registry where items were donated to children.

I have 2 babies 2 and 1 month…if I had a 3rd I’d just have a sip and see. So I can still have a party and fawn over my new baby. But no gifts requiresd, just good food and good wine.

I feel like for me…I chose to get pregnant each time, by #3 I should be able to get everything the baby needs without a shower.

I would never knock a gift from the heart though.

Contact your insurance, and tell them you are pregnant and they most likely have a mommy and baby special group thing when they send you all types of reading material and call to remind you of the appointments and offer you classes and stuff. And online you can go to a bunch of different websites and let them know what insurance you have and they give you a list of pumps you can choose from. NICE ones. Even Target does this. DO NOT BUY ONE.

Before my wedding I had 4 bridal showers, in different fashions. We have 7 gorgeous babies (okay, the oldest are in their early twenties and college graduates). Guess what? I had 9 or 10 showers in different states and cities, some hosted privately (i.e. I funded the food, decor, entertainment and invites as well as thank you notes). My daughter-in-love celebrated the birth of my granddaughter with two baby showers. Whoever wanted to buy gifts or pass down gifts from their little ones, was a blessing and we all had a blast.
