Christina Milian Violet Nash

Black Twitter relentlessly dragged single mom Christina Milian for uploading an Instagram.com video of her 5-year-old daughter Violet Nash applying makeup.

If people weren't so quick to criticize a single mother they would have noticed that Violet's makeup was already applied -- by someone else.

The little girl was just having fun doing what kids do when the camera's spotlight is turned on them.

The same people who dragged Christina Milian for posting a video of her daughter having fun are the same ones who don't know where there own minor daughters are.

Violet Nash

This is the start of the video. Notice Violet's face is already made up?

Common sense, people.

Violet Nash

Notice Violet's eyelashes are already done?

Violet Nash

Violet's eyeshadow is already applied by the time this scene is shown. Look how she's holding the brush.

Violet Nash

In every scene her makeup stays the same until the end of the video.

Violet Nash

Only a fool would believe a 5-year-old is capable of this level of expertise.

Do better, people!

This latest controversy proves there isn't a lot of common sense on social media.

Thanks to @artistcouture for the tip.

  • Yoni

I need that baby's lipstick, STAT! And the name of her eyebrow threader.

  • Wellbalancedlibra

A baby Milian in the making.. Give it a few years and she will have her own reality show.

  • SummerBaby

If people weren’t so quick to criticize a single mother they would have noticed that Violet’s makeup was already applied — by someone else.

Sometimes I wonder if these people who troll on "Black Twitter" actually have real jobs.

  • SameoleJ

    GUUURRRRLLLL!!! CTHU Luh you, Sandy!!

  • Yoni

Same can be asked about the trolls of Sandra Rose. :tea:

  • Yoni

Second to last pic, that baby favors Raven Symone.

  • jussaying

Ok but I would not be comfortable with that much make up on my five year old.. Way too young and the colors are too dark..

  • LeBrick James

Sandra Rose has commentators, not trolls haha!

  • surprise2012

She's a little girl, what little girl didn't play make up or dress up? She's around a lot of women her mom, her 2 aunties and grandmother. Christina is damned if she does or damned if she doesn't. I like her.

  • SummerBaby

    I think she favors Nivea

  • Yoni

Her step mammy? Yeah, her too. LOL

  • SummerBaby

    Yes indeed

  • SameoleJ

I never saw the video, but looking at the pictures above, it isn't as bad as I read about. I only see eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick, not foundation, etc. like they do those beauty pageant babies. Her eyebrows are naturally shaped like that. I used to have people accuse me of having my daughter's eyebrows arched (at 3 years old) and it was her natural shape.

  • http://www.sandrarose.com Django the God

She looks like a doll baby.

    #americangirl

  • jazmine

Don't they make makeup kits for little girls? It's all in fun and dress up. The hilarious part is Christina just completely copied a ig video a makeup artist did with his little niece and she's getting dragged for it.

  • Yardgirl

Christina is the ultimate famewhore so I am NOT surprised to see her publicizing this video of Violet. I see nothing wrong with kids playing with makeup as long as it stays at that, playing!!

  • SameoleJ

    LMBO

  • Buttercup

And I thought I used to be doing it with my
    Tinkerbell makeup and nail polish.

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

Absolutely ridiculous ..... Mothers please let your child be a child ....... this kind of shyt attracts pedophiles too ..... smh ... Christina is a fool though .... something is mentally off with that one ... at the end of the day ... her child .... if she wanna raise a future thirsty THOT .... I say let her

  • SummerBaby

When you watch the video she does her brows.

  • Too Many Colors

As I said when folks were tambout lil Purple Vine hair few years ago...mind your own gatdamn biz. Go have you some kids and do whatever the fawk it is you want to do with em. Long as they not being abused. Now if she woulda left Violet in the house with some Lunchables and air vent dust like Draya did, THEN be up in arms. But makeup? Really?

  • Mel

Lil violet looking like her squeaky voice daddy

  • LeBrick James

Some people just need to find something or someone to complain about or criticize.
People like that are usually just unhappy with their own lives.

  • Yoni

Did anybody say anything about lil Appalachian Trail (North) playing dress up ALONE in somebody's closet?

  • http://Copblock.org aDingoDrankMyBabies

I love Black twitter?? If it wasn't for Sandra's continual promotion of them, I wouldn't even know. Bless you Sandra?? You directed me to people who share my mindset. I'm not crazy...There are others?? As for this, I got nothing. Makeup isn't my realm. Natural beauty ova here??

  • SameoleJ

We determined that she was hiding in the safest place in the house. LOL

  • Yoni

I haven't read the write up......yet. But did she go out in public like that?

  • SummerBaby

I feel like the makeup is too much for a 5 year old. This seems more than a kid playing in makeup to me. ?

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

Wait and she 5 doing all that .... I guess .......

  • http://Copblock.org aDingoDrankMyBabies

    Good morning handsome?

  • Yoni

So she was trying to blend in with the clothes, yall say?

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

Me too lol and my Mama lil Avon lipstick samples

  • http://theempirefiend.tumblr.com/ Bird

There were two videos. You are showing the second one. The first video starts with her bare face. Baby girl knows how to apply makeup all the way from contouring to brows. I'm not mad at her though. I played in my mom's makeup as a child, but just didn't know how to apply it properly.

  • SummerBaby

    Dead

  • SameoleJ

Oh, but isn't that the natural shape of her eyebrows too?

  • Buttercup

I agree with you, but I don't have to raise her.

Only a fool would believe a 5-year-old is capable of this level of expertise.

    Do better, people!

  • Str8tUpMenace

Sooooooo, do they also complain about the lil girls in the pageants that wear tons of makeup, too?????????????

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

I ain't watching that shyt ...... that shyt is out of line .... out of line .... not even curious to even know ..... chile lawd

  • SummerBaby

Yes, but they're most def enhanced.

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

Hell I do ...... that's another thing I find disgusting ugh

  • http://theempirefiend.tumblr.com/ Bird

She did it. The first video shows her applying it with her own hand. Sandra didn't post that video.

  • SameoleJ

Momma is no longer a closet organizer and probably gets the sweats when she is in one too long and Granddammy (Caitlyn) just flew of the closet, he damn sure ain't going in there to get her, unless there is a new Givenchy (sp) dress in there. Daddy is trying to stay in his closet at Ricardo house. LOL

  • Low E. {CIRCA 1908}

LET ME DIG IN THIS SHOEBOX FOR THAT RECEIPT RIGHT QUICK!

  • Str8tUpMenace

I also played in my mom's makeup. Didn't know what the hell I was doing, but couldn't be told nothing. LMAO. Hell I'm grown, and don't know a damn thing about applying makeup.

  • SummerBaby

    I do! ??

  • jussaying

Write up didn't say. I just don't want my kid growing up so fast personally. I didn't wear any kind of make up until I was about 12 and even then it was just eyeliner and lip gloss. In neutral colors. And when I was five I had lipsmackers. I think it's important to allow a child to be a child. Violet has on mascara, eyebrow powder, and what looks to be a contour..

  • Low E. {CIRCA 1908}

THIS SUMS IT UP FOR ME...ROSES KNOW I GOT 3 GIRLS. I AIN'T PLAYING THIS ISHT...SHE'S CREATING A MONSTER.

  • SameoleJ

Oh, okay. Still not watching the video, but to each his/her own. She is a pretty little girl, a better version of her daddy.

  • SummerBaby

Both videos are on C Milli IG

    Good Morning

  • Str8tUpMenace

LMAO. I do too, but I ain't complaining about Violet playing in makeup. *dead*

  • 1/8

I don't approve of makeup on little girls or boys. Children need to stay in their place and that excludes the makeup chair.

  • Buttercup

LOL. My TeeTee sold Avon, so I used to be in those samples and smelling like Skin So Soft. For a couple of years, Mama Butter was a merchandiser, and she'd bring home last season's wigs for me to play with. I used to want to be grown SEW bad....for the wrong reasons.

  • Too Many Colors

This. My niece was a competitive All Star Cheerleader since damn near birth. Age 4 to she now coaches at 26. Went to college on a cheer scholarship. They will TELL you your girl putting on this full face of makeup. Now STFU.

  • SummerBaby

    She's so adorable!

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

I had my doll head that had makeup and lil Avon lipstick samples that belonged to my Mommy and looked the fool quite alot lol trying to apply it. When I got grown I didn't mess with it. Saturday was the first day I wore lipstick ever.

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

    I just said this lol

  • Low E. {CIRCA 1908}

I HAVE TO TELL LOW 4 ALL THE TIME..."YOU ARE A CHILD...ENJOY BEING A CHILD!" SWEAR SHE KNOWS EVERYTHING...NO EASY BAKE OVEN FOR HER THIS YEAR!

  • Liz

I'm on the fence with this. I think its normal for little girls to want to play in make up but it is weird to see her fully contoured and everything. Part of the fun as a kid was using all kinds of bright and crazy colors and ending up looking like Rainbow Bright...but really this is not that serious. Its like when you go to Disney World and watch parents let their kids eat food they dropped on the floor. Pretty gross but not worth going over and getting in an argument over.

  • Low E. {CIRCA 1908}

    IT'S SO VERY TRUE BRICK!

  • SameoleJ

So other than this video(s), Violet has never been in public with a "beat" face, which is what I gather from the pictures online. Other than the purple crotchet braids (colorful braids is the new fad for kids) Violet's mother pretty much has her dressed as a little girl and has her in kid-geared activities. Perhaps she was taken aback that her baby paid so much attention to her makeup routine that she was able to do it herself. I played in my mother's make up.....the whole nine, but barely wore it in my teens and twenties and barely wear it now.

  • Too Many Colors

They have dress rehearsals and practice putting it on at team practices. Tuesday night...they be in there getting their face done. How we know Violet isn't doing the same?

LMAO!!!!!!!! I played in makeup here and there, but my Mom's heels, Lawd, her heels!!!!!!!! Used to drag the shat out her heels through the house. I think that's where my shoe habits come from. #himynameisstr8andimashoeaddict

  • Buttercup

The funny thing is Mama Butter LOVES makeup and just views it as fashion. She didn't have a problem with the lipstick, but it was a teachable moment. She told me to do what I felt was best. I didn't wear makeup then and don't wear it now. I decided to quit. Years later she told me that she was proud to have raised a young lady who isn't afraid of not being part of the crowd.

  • Finding Forever…

  • SummerBaby

I get what your saying, but on the videos she used hashtag or @ the makeup company that put out Kae line. So I think the video was more deliberate than a little girl just playing around.

  • SameoleJ

They are not ropes, they are crochet braids and a protective hairstyle. I would have preferred they not be that long, but I am not her mother. But I do understand using the protective styles in her type of hair.

I didn't see that picture, so... I have no comment on that. Even if I did I still probably wouldn't have a comment. I'm an only child so I'm sure I played alone too. Both of these little girls live a different life than most of us. As long as it doesn't come out that they have been abused then who am I to judge.

  • Milani

    I sure do!!!

  • SameoleJ

    THIS!!

  • That’s Interesting

That's a bit much for a five year old. It could be her natural personality, but given her mother, it's a bit troubling. I could see that being something that she encourages and finds "cute." I wouldn't raise a daughter that way, but she will be Christina's problem. Either way, she's a beautiful lil girl!

  • Yoni

I like to say I raised an UPSTANDING, productive, young lady.........but that mouth! And I didn't allow that shit. Still don't and she'll be 21 in a few days. There was a time that SHE will never forget what her mouth got her into (and out of).......When she came to, she was picking herself up outta the CORNER of the tub. *pictureBeyonce'salmostfall* Tuh. :tea:

  • Too Many Colors

Idk. I just think folks giving Christina a hard hard time. The comments on social media were vicious. Why is my question. It's her kid. Hers. Hern.

  • ShelleDC

Now You have one of two videos. I watched both video's else ware, and this child indeed made up her own face. It shows HER putting on Banana powder and all. I think her mom deleted the first video after all the backlash. That child can beat a face better than I can. ( That isn't saying much though) lol

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

I know a lot of about hair Sameole I know exactly what crocheted braids are and how they are used for protective styles (which is bullshyt) IMO..... but yes okay

  • Buttercup

I asked for Mama Butter's mink last year. That is the only time I can recall her cursing at me. She said I was out my rabbit-azz mind, and I'm going to have to wait until she goes up yonder.

  • ShelleDC

And Violet applied said makeup. There are two videos, Sandra has one.

  • Blaque Mahogany

I saw a screenshot of that little girl on IG, I didn't realize it was Christina's little girl.

  • Yoni

True. I'm not mad at her or her mother for "playing" in makeup. Now if she was out in these streets like that.......then I MIGHT comment.

  • SameoleJ

Your response implied that you did not know. Now I am aware that you do. You are correct, it is YOUR opinion and you are entitled to it. It isn't that deep.

  • Too Many Colors

For me it's again picking and choosing. Like I said downstairs about Karen vs Knockout dude. Same folks sit up there and watch every episode of Bring It, then drag Christina on Social media. When, V same age as THOSE girls. A child in makeup is a child in makeup. If you against it, shouldnt be any exceptions.

  • Amel

She still shouldn't have all that make up on. Maybe some clear lip glass for fun but thats it. Way too young to have any make up on.

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

you know what .... this must be her followers or some shyt ..... yep it is her kid totally agree .... if she wants to raise her that way that's on her .... totally agree ..... still don't change my opinion on how I feel about kids applying their own make up at 5 naw ....

  • Amel

North was playing with her dolls in her own closet. Nothing wrong with children playing alone, its actually good for them.

  • Buttercup

LOL. I still mouth slick stuff behind Mama Butter's back. I'm darn-near 30 and I consider her to be one of my best friends, but I haven't forgotten that respect comes first.

  • ShelleDC

Yess, and I put a scrunchie on mine to make it a long ponytail! And tried to swing it, but it was to heavy lol

  • Let Your Soul Glow

You remind me of this lady who used to work for me. A Sprite who had a 20 yo daughter. Mom paid for everything in her life, she was only responsible for the cell bill. Mom went in to get the money from her which she was already 3 days late paying. Daughter threw the money at her mom with an attitude. She said a red haze came over her and she literally leaped across the bed at her. When she came to herself, her husband was pulling her off her daughter.

  • Let Your Soul Glow

Key words: Behind her back. You know better!

  • Cunningham ?

I think this is a sarcastic post...

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

My response was she had those ropes in her head and that I don't pay her much attention ..... let's not get into the hair debates now .... Cause I do know my shyt when it comes to hair ....with that being said ... agree to disagree with you ..

  • Blaque Mahogany

Honestly, I think those girls wear too much makeup on Bring It and it is breaking them out something terrible. That being said, they are teenagers. I have only seen the baby dolls with the the little designs drawn on their faces.

I say all that to say... I agree with you.

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

It was so fun and innocent then and private until ole social media came along

  • Bam Bam Li

My daughter is 1 and tries to immitate me when I put my makeup on (using my blusher brush without any makeup on it), yes its fun for a few minutes then she knows when Mama says okay that's enough go play with your pop-up book or toys that's it. Doing nails at 5-6 is cute but you aren't wearing it to school, doing your 5 year olds face till she looks like a bratz doll isn't cool. She is in the public eye you don't know how many damn creeps are watching.

  • SummerBaby

Raising kids is a hard job & to get upstanding & productive. Especially with so much going on around us. ??????

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

    Yes lol

  • Yoni

Man listen. It turned RED when I knocked her block off too. TIS TRUE!

  • Buttercup

Exactly! I've seen her knock BroButter34, who is more than a foot taller than her, smooth out. I don't ever want any parts of that.

  • Yoni

I always say to my daughter...."I wouldn't dare speak to my mother the way you speak to me. Wait til you get home, bruh." *click*

  • MissHarlem

    Morning hun ?

  • SummerBaby

You're right because if this was another celeb kid folks might feel different. C Milli seems to always be an easy target no matter what.

  • Candance

Lol I BET if her son was applying makeup she would be praised. Don't most little girls like to play in makeup??? This world gets more weird by the minute!!!

  • Str8tUpMenace

Sooooo, I read Chrissy & Jim might be coming back to TV
    #willbewatching

  • LeBrick James

    Oh, I remember Chrissy.
Poor thing. She still waiting on that ring?

  • stav

Putting little girls in a face full of makeup , is clearly sexualizing them . I understand how little girls like to put on a little of their mothers lipstick, or gloss, however this childs face is beat. She will be grown soon enough , we are considered adults for such a longer period than we are children. Let the child be a child.

  • SummerBaby

    I like Chrissy!

  • Buttercup

You have no idea how much I rehearse my tone and what I'm going to say to Mama Butter about what she allows Lil Butter to do. Being stern without being disrespectful is hard work.

  • http://batman-news.com Mama Dee’s Wig Maker

Little girls play in makeup all the time...hell I did too when I was little. Wore my moms heels, bras, and dresses. Its the same with nail polish. Some feel nail polish is too adult for little girls and some don't.

  • Beyawnce

I don't care who applied that costume make-up. Fact is, shes 5!

  • mzbestseller

Lord come down and help these people. Did she leave the house like this? How many of us played in our mother's makeup just because we wanted to dress up and imitate her? Its all in fun. I'm sure had social media been around then when I was a child my grandma would have posted my pics of me looking like a drunk clown cause she thought I was cute!! Let this mother and daughter have fun together or would u rather CM be absent from her life? Now the long braids may be a little too much cause her neck seems to struggle holding that weight up.

  • SummerBaby

Whale like a typical Rose I've lost interest in this topic.

  • Liz

Good so what are you doing for Valentine's Day? Any special plans? Are you cooking something special?

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

Me either. Homie (my momma) did not play it.

What do women think would happen if they STOPPED posting every single aspect their young children's lives on social media? I just DONT UNDERSTAND. Christina is a celeb. Christina wants to be in the public eye. Christina gets PAID for being in the public eye. Her daughter is a CHILD who deserves some sliver of privacy in her life. I am so sick of this narcissism run amok (and yes, even though she is posting a video of her daughter, I think it's to garner more attention for HERSELF, hence narcissistic). Please let your children live their childhoods in PRIVATE!

Sexualizing a child is wrong. That little girl needs to be encouraged to be a kid. They'll be plenty of time for her to ruin her complexion with the devil's paint, when she's older.

  • Full Monty

Nothing wrong with kids playing with makeup the problem is STOP POSTING IT! Remember Jon Benet Ramsey anyone? Stop having these young girls looking like grown women. We are living in the age of pedophilia!

  • Too Many Colors

Burke. That's his name. Damn weirdo.

  • Full Monty

Right and then these celebs wonder why they have stalkers!

  • 1/8

They had every right to "drag the life out of them." Kiddie pageants are evil; a much of empty parents living vicariously through their children. Sad.

  • MissHarlem

Nah it all played out. Her man not going to jail ?

  • Drea982

LMAO kids can't even play dress up w/o someone having something to say. I stayed in my mother's make up as a kid. Some parents abuse and molest their kids. Worry about that.

  • Liz

Lol lets not get melodramatic. There is a big difference between disagreeing with a parenting choice and accusing the parent of sexualizing a child. She thought it was cute and I highly doubt Christina saw it in a sexual way. Most parents don't when they dress up their kids. Would some pedophile view it that way yes but honestly they would find a picture of her in regular kids clothing sexual too. You can't cater to sick people.

  • Candance

    EXACTLY!!!!!!

  • Str8tUpMenace

    Very true

  • Str8tUpMenace

If men are allowed to wear women's clothing and our makeup I see nothing wrong with a girl playing dress up.

  • Lolalao

    She's just playing in make-up. ..

  • Lolalao

I did the exact same thing.. I don't see what's wrong. We even took pictures..lol

  • MissHarlem

Looking at hair bundles online ? can't complain. I'm ready to go home though

  • LeeSeeCee

Dang, I just watched the first video. Little Violet did indeed apply the makeup. I guessing that she sees this constantly at home and maybe that is why she is so good at it. Dang, but, 5 and applying makeup like an adult is a little too much for me. Then again, that is why I chose not to have kids so I didn't have to stress about these things, lol. Hell, I'm 43 and I can't even apply makeup like that, LMBO...

  • Particularly petty

Aren't you being a little harsh? The lil yt girls troll around pageants with an entire Walmart aisle of Cover Girl on their face.

  • MzFutureLCSW

OOO! Post her. I could not find a pic of him either. I thought by law, that info had to be published.

  • T’acheItEzee15

My daughter is a year older than Violet and wears, eyeshadow, blush and
lip gloss for the youth cheer performances and competitions. I do buy
her those makeup and nail polish/sticker kits from Claire's to keep her
    from playing in my makeup.

    Why do women wear makeup?

  • surprise2012

    Right :).

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

Why do black women wear makeup when we are already colored? I never understood that.

  • surprise2012

    IKR..

  • Liz

Many different reasons but I get where you are coming from. Makeup is fun also for a lot of women its not just about looks. She does with her little girl what she thinks is fun. Just because it may seem over the top doesn't mean it is harmful. Your words are very provocative and you know it. There is a big difference between saying something is inappropriate and accusing her of "sexualizing" her child.

  • surprise2012

    IKR. Misery loves company..

  • God’s child to the end

My grandmother sold Mary Kay when we were growing up and she had a room filled with products and a vanity. She allowed us to put on the make up that was already opened but we could NOT go outside the house with it on. If she's not going anywhere I don't see the problem.

  • Unita Lucinda “Lucy” Freebush

I thought she bought both of their rings. Huh. Iono.

  • 1/8

I can't remember who, but there was a black comedian that did a bit about black women wearing blush.

  • http://www.sandrarose.com Django the God

I'm noticing after updating my profile, things I used to say that were "funny", are now under scrutiny...

Someone will scroll right past my comment and turn around and say the same thing.

  • mela.reign77

I think as long as she's just playing dress up ( which most little girls do) I don't see the harm in it. I think when they are out and about with it on and a head full of Brazilian hair, shorts up their back side and inappropriate outfits, then it becomes a problem. She looks like a happy little girl and I think people will find something to say regardless. I swear, put a twitter finger behind a computer and keyboard and they will go ham. But their kids out popping beans, doing space and little Jenny is knocked up and her boyfriend is sleeping over. Smh....

  • Afiya

They were covering for the brother, he was jealous of the attention she was getting.

  • Afiya

The guilt is killing him, have you seen him lately?

I don't need nor want anything Betty, Richard and Charlie have to offer. I also don't need that alcohol. Dolla sto got me covered with the RED alcohol. Thanks @butter (or was it @DTTS)? Anywho, save your care package. LOL #ungrateful LOL

  • Unita Lucinda “Lucy” Freebush

Called myself doing that one time and my momma turned around (because she has eyes in the back of her head) just as I was doing a neck-roll and a nana nana boo boo. Just know that is one of the reasons why I ramble and have Tourette's.

  • 1/8

Part of being an adult, is being sexual. Most women wear makeup to make themselves more sexually appealing.

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

But makeup makes women look like they lack confidence in their own beauty. It saddens me to see black women wearing a lot of makeup.

People are shooooo quick to critique another's parenting skill but have none of their own or have children that are strung out, stealing, and whipping on them.

  • Unita Lucinda “Lucy” Freebush

Baby Freebush says yes/no ma'am/sir. I've had a number of people to stop me to commend their behavior and say it's been a LONG time since I've heard THAT come out of a kid's mouth.

  • Unita Lucinda “Lucy” Freebush

I guess it depends upon the municipality or institution. A lot of places has the inmate, the photo, release date, and charges.

  • Gina

I don't understand why some of these " mothers" are so quick to introduce their kids to an adult lifestyle, first she put these huge jumbo braids the size of a bungee cord on her poor child's hair and now she's allowing her to have a face full of makeup, what's next bootie implants? Let the child be a little girl with a fresh clean face and pigtails. Stop trying to look like your a cool mom. Its no wonder no man takes Christina seriously she's very immature for a grown woman.

    ------------------

No one is being petty. I question the common sense of those who think little Violet beat her own face. If a 5-year-old is a makeup expert, why does her mother need a makeup artist, right?

  • Canary Red™

    You BETTER speak!!!!!!!!!!!

  • DopeRhymesYo

It wasn't like she was out in public, she was most likely headed for a bath and bed afterwards...all little girls play in makeup...let these babies be babies....meaning let them imagine and look up to their mommies...she was just one of the girls!

  • jussaying

That child has on a contour, mascara, eyeliner, blush, eyebrow powder and dark lipstick. That's right. Let her be a baby. A baby should not know how to contour her face and the colors are inappropriate for a toddler. Let alone the fact that she has NARS which is a make up brand that is expensive and used in fashion editorials because it's highly pigmented and probably not good for a child's skin. Also you have no idea where the child was headed to afterward. Either way, they make play make up kits for children in natural colors that are more age appropriate. No reason a five year old should be that skilled in doing make up. But again this is my preference. If you consider a baby looking like a replica of an adult appropriate playtime, more power to you. My child (if I had one) would be cool kicking it in lip smackers and Disney make up.

  • SameoleJ

Weeeelllll, I can't think of another name for him, so Granddammy it will be. LOL

  • DopeRhymesYo

Ok...I see that you're passionate indeed...and it's ALWAYS the ones who DON'T HAVE KIDS ?....well dear WHEN you have a kid(s)...God willing. .you'll see that small things like this are so beautiful , it creates memories that you don't wanna miss out on...Its totally harmless I mean who is it hurting? ...Also just for accuracy sake the makeup artist let it be known that she did NOT do her own makeup, however it was adorable to have this little beautiful baby use her creative imagination and make believe that she in fact did it herself. ...and yeah I got down with the smackers & those Avon jawns.....like heavy

  • DopeRhymesYo

Hey Sandra Girl Hey ? no you're right they would be extremely gullible to think she did her own makeup! Christina just allowed her baby to be one of the girls, and feel like she was a big girl....memories that will always be with both of them (mommy & baby moments).... And ummmm YES there ARE tons of people being petty about this matter....she's a little girl and folks WHO DONT EEM HAVE CHURREN got sooooo much to say....you know those negative Nancy types?

  • Yoni

I can't find that color for the life of me. I want it badly!

  • Amel

    Oh, sorry! I misread.

  • Tiffany Miller

The only problem I see is that for the PERVY community, it makes children look less and less like children and more like adults. I would keep my child off social media altogether and these memories would be private.

  • TheRealLee

Nothing wrong with any of this.

  • Gina

I like every other girl played dressup but my mom didn't let a makeup artist paint a face full of makeup on me, and let's get real that little girl didn't apply that makeup

  • God’s child to the end

    Thanx!

  • jussaying

What does not having kids have to do with anything? That I don't have them does not indicate that I have poor judgment or am overly critical. There are tons of people who have them who probably shouldn't. I don't have kids because I do not want them. Im unsure why you're trying to change my opinion or prove to me (or yourself?) that wearing a face full of make up at five is harmless. I had a ton of memories sans plastering my face with make up, and feel that there should be landmarks as you age. When I was finally allowed to wear make up (at thirteen and only eyeliner and lip gloss), it felt like I was crossing a threshold. Same way there were restrictions on things I could wear as well. I feel like gradually getting things like this aided in my growing up. When I was a child, I wasn't concerned with how I looked and was freed from that stress that women are under as an adult. If you have different memories that you deem beautiful from make up, good for you.

its on thing to let her play and make her face all crazy and clown like on her own. but its another to apply it and get her attached to having it on and wanting it on all the time. i hope this does not become the case. pls let this child stay a child.

  • Fyrebaybee

Ughhh... that baby did not do all that herself, and it's nothing wrong with playing in make up. Key word playing. That's what little girls do. I have two, 8 and almost 3. The 3 year old will break her neck to get to my make up case and I don't do a lot. She's girly, it looks pretty and they want to do it to. Some people need to take to stick out of their butt and enjoy life, it's too short to be such a prude. We've seen all types of pictures of her and none outside of the house with a contoured face.

That's what I said when I saw it. She could teach me a few tips. When she started contouring ... I was DONE!!! But that just shows that her mom, or mom's assistant, applies her make-up regularly. A child can pick up almost any skill by just paying attention.

Playing in make-up and having your face totally beat are 2 different things. When this baby skin start looking a raggedy before she 10 then what.

  • Tawana

MAKE UP IS DESIGN FOR BEAUTY, THAT'S WHY FOLKS WEAR MAKEUP FOR BEAUTY. LITTLE GIRLS, WANT TO LOOK PRETTY LIKE THEIR MOMMIES AND IF THAT'S WRONG. IN ONES OPINION, THEN DON'T WEAR MAKEUP. IF, THEIR IS A CONCERN WITH YOUR BABY GIRL WANTING TO BE PRETTY LIKE HER MOMMY WEARING MAKEUP. JUST, SAYING. SHE, A CUTIE LIKE HER MOM.

  • Yoni

Yeah it was dark on the chick that I asked about it. Almost PURPLE-like. I have purple. I need/want plum/wine.

  • WetPntees

I agree... No different than little girls wanting to be like their moms by wearing their high heels around the house. I learned how to walk in heels by wearing my mothers... Now if your daughter puts on makeup, steps in your heels, grabs the car keys and heads for the door, then and ONLY THEN will you have a problem......

  • WetPntees

+1..... Throwing the very same stones that they are pulling out of their azzes....

Wow your ugly on the inside and out, how you gone tell someone to eat
makeup, because you don't know how to hold an intellectual conversation.
You the one who needs to eat some makeup and you can start with eating
that crap off your face. Because, you look like a clown from the
    nightmares of children...

SN: You are right about letting kids
be kids, because playing in makeup is not going to have a negative
affect on them in adult hood.

    Have a blessed one

The point is, why would she allow her young child to wear so much makeup?! No child should be wearing heavy foundation. I could see if you wanted to let your child wear eye shadow and lip gloss on a special occasion like a performance but a full caked on face is beyond ridiculous. I don't care if her child put it on or someone else did. Not surprised that her bird-brained mom would allow that though. Can't expect much from that idiot!

I think that Christina milian is a great parent her daughter is always happy and smiling and whats wrong with playing in mommies makeup it was fine when you wanna talk nostalgia but its not right for her violet reminds me of my own daughter she is creative and adventurous and Christina milian is all about expanding her daughter’s creativity leave them alone people really should mind there own business!

  • Lacey Dadrey

Christina is an unfit mother for allowing her daughter to become so involved with makeup. It is okay for daughters to watch their mothers, but to allow the application of makeup at such a young age is asking for trouble.
